I've only encountered 3 - the 'traditional' breach, the 'defend the tower' one in maps, and the one in the Hive/tower mini-zone. I've been playing slow though - only in yellow maps - so there could very possibly be a 4th type in red maps or t17 exclusive or something

Honestly even a Mirror isn't a 100% guarantee that it'll go up in value... but generically, I'd say you want things which are fairly rare and also expended. So like t0 uniques if people corrupt them, mirrors and locks, etc. Allegedly the Stacked Decks are a good investment but I haven't seen any proof one way or the other

Can try swapping to Berserker. I'm running Alk's ES Serker and it's pretty fast. Key is getting a good 2her, which tree makes pretty easy. I've made a few reasonable 700+ pdps axes with it so far... and one 950 pdps 8% crit bow >.>. Why on why was it not an axe. Triple T1 phys, sigh.

ANd speaking of that bow... I guess I make a deadeye now? It has triple T1 phys, 8% base crit, and T1 Proj speed / T2 attack speed.

Yes, but slams have such good damage/tankiness for so little investment. I self crafted all my gear with the tree while making decent profits on my berserker. He is literally a SSF character basically, and the excess that he didn't use has been good profits. I feel like to get a decent bow build you want to go Omniscience with a HH (or MB for bossing). So like... no investment versus spending 80+ divs...

The issue is scaling with slams, because they don't scale super well with attack speed. Past a certain point you're running out of warcry exerts, even with the double exert node on the Berserker tree. That also means they aren't that great for HH, and if you want a really fast mapping build, you want something that scales well with HH buffs, and that's probably going to be a bow or wander... but it requires a lot of investment.

I have sold a good number of axes/swords varying between 80c and I think the highest was 8d. Sold a few chest pieces too. My axe isn't crazy... it's close to 800 pdps but it didn't get hybrid phys roll, had an open prefix. But still, having faster attack speed feels a lot better. I didn't get a 6l on it either, and you don't really need a second 6l. My main 6l is my armor right now.

The tree mechanic is kind of insane. It's far better at crafting phys weapons than something like the coffin mechanic was back in w/e that league was called. For my initial farming strat, I just stacked a bunch of quant/scarab/map drop rate on atlas and blasted t16s as fast as possible to get my tree juice and wombgifts.

I was literally ignoring all other league mechanics that I found in my maps, just blasted tree juice and cleared normal monsters/boss for map sustain.

Depends on your playstyle really - hiring staff for the town requires gold, and then each worker has a wage that you have to pay. You only have to pay them when they're working though - which means the only 'constant' drain on your gold would be farmers. Everyone else you have control over

It can be extremely lucrative - people pull mirror shards from shipping, and there's solid loot to be had from the auto-mappers. However, the mapping is a gamble (workers can die) and the top-tier mappers are quite expensive. Shipping is cheaper to do but takes a substantial time investment to get to that high-end loot from it.

All told, I'd say "Yes it's worth doing, but don't stress about it too much."

Man, I'm having such a hard time getting into this game when new leagues start anymore. I was never a speed runner and don't like following meta build guides, but am very far from any kind of newb (3.6k hours and 85% achieves).

I really hate that change they made awhile ago where the campaign takes longer to do because they wanted it to be "harder" and instead is just slower and more boring. It's such a slog to actually start new leagues that it's just hard to keep interest long enough to even finish the campaign--and it wasn't always like that.

This league's mechanic doesn't help either. It's super cluttery, slow, boring, and not very interesting. Grafts are really dope, to give credit where due, but man... It was supposed to be Breach 2.0 and instead feels like Blight 1.5, except Blight was way more rewarding.

The trade site by default shows both classic "in-person trade" where you whisper the seller and they don't actually have to sell for the price, and "instant buyout", which is the contact-free async trade mechanic where you can actually buy for the listed price.

Divination cards aren't on instant buyout tho, but on the currency exchange.

My understanding is that ninja just tracks sales records, so it should be able to give reasonably accurate info on anything that isn't too rare to have a significant sample size.

Then again, I don't know if it can see actual sales. It could just be tracking listings, which means you would need a grain of salt with that data because outliers will exist.

I've got no insight into your problem but my two tools for seeing and mitigating why Windows is being silly are:

• SysInternals' "RamMap" for a granular breakdown with means to clear particular types of memory; and
• "Intelligent Standby List Cleaner (ISLC)" running on startup to auto-purge the standby list to keep the amount of pre-zeroed pages topped up.
  I tend to get a lot of Metafile filesystem metadata when coding/data-mining and a fair bit of file cache from memory mapping the pack file.
  The primary thing that tends to make my system misbehave is a shortage of zeroed pages as modern Windows is rather stingy in pre-clearing things even with 64 gigs of RAM, leading to stutter, sludge and weirdness in applications.

You could also try Standalone vs. Steam and see if it differs, considering that the way the files are stored differs between the platforms.

(standalone has a big pack file with bundles and media assets, steam has those same files loose on disk)

Some of it was from my own tools, the game in general is fairly good at not polluting. Sometimes it's also from graphics API use for resource staging and such.

And yeah, systems generally get a bit wibbly-wobbly when short on pages.

I like having ISLC resident, after a while you can look at the stats to see how often it purged and if you set the limits reasonably, it'll only kick in when really short:

IIRC, I/O is memory mapped regardless of the platform but Standalone has a single file for way longer while Steam touches many files for shorter times.

Windows since say mid-10 has been very eager to keep a ton of file cache, even when under quite some pressure to have zeroed pages. I started noticing it particularly after getting 64-128G of RAM.

Latencymoon constantly refers to nvidia driver as well. Many things were attempted, but none really helped. Maybe ISLC would help.

It's built more like a 2D game engine than a typical desktop program, generating and rendering the whole UI every frame.
There's some mitigations to make it run calmer when inactive or minimised but it's not quite all there, I'm a bit surprised that it'd eat noticeable CPU - mine uses essentially none.

Yeah, but the thing it's: started behaving strangely about 3 days ago. I also noticed that hovering over Discord or quickly resizing the window resulted in 30% CPU usage, which wasn't the case 3+ days ago(noticed by cpu temp/fan work). Latencymoon shows increased latency in the Windows kernel driver framework (Wdf01000), the NVIDIA kernel driver, and some DX kernel nonsense.

Probably need to DDU the nvidia. Or better: buy new pc and never touch nvidia gpu again Maybe somethnig related to h/w accelerating.
It's just easier to gave up at this point. A constant hell circle of weird problems that point to nvidia/win driver.

You can get it from the tree, but it's not going to just be a one-attempt solution. You have a % chance to get each individual modifier, and that % is changed by the other modifiers that wind up on thw weapon. Some modifiers are mutually exclusive, so getting one means you cannot get the other

What SunSun is saying is that there's no option to prevent all elements, but you can block one element (I'm unsure if thats through the tree or other methods, I don't do a lot of tree crafting)

Yeah, you can ~~block ~~ less priority "cold" tags as example. But you had to pick between cold,fire,ligh, phys and chaos I think. In nearby branch you can do the same, but make higher priority for one of those tags.

Right. Use increased chance for physical, maybe increased chance for speed if its available, decreased chance for something you don't want, etc. Then try and grow something. If its close, try crafting on it to get what you want, if its totally wrong just use another wombgift

If its got 4 modifiers and you wanted 3/4, an Orb of Annulment is like 3c or something in softcore trade. Just use one of those and hope to get lucky. If you miss, return to the start of the loop

Checked the tree. You pick:

• Devoted Technique (phys)

• Devoted Zeal (attack/crit, w/e you need more, i guess attack just for the purpose of weights)

• Forsaken Soul (disable mana)

• Forsaken Zeal (disable caster)

• Forshaken Technique (disable fire or light or cold)

Rest you leave for fracture chance, modifier tier.

Also worth noting that if you're trying to run a physical damage build, and need to avoid ele damage fully (though I'm unsure why), there's a support gem that would stop any elemental damage. Could use that in the short term

When I did a build like that, I used a warstaff for the additional defensive layers. The build really doesn't struggle much in offensive power once you've got it rolling, so a little extra defensive power is nice.

1. If you're on Steam, you can always quit and relaunch Steam to force-check for updates. Not sure how best to check in the standalone client.
2. There's probably people who offer carry services for Sim, but unless you're playing Hardcore then I'd just say go for it and worst-case you die and know you're not strong enough yet.
3. Depends on what you're selling and how you're trying to sell it. Could be that you're over priced, could be that you're selling to a market that doesn't exist, could be any number of things really.

Open the CoE from link above and look on tags. If you do not want to have elemental things on staff - it's NOT possible, because you can't block or manually lower chance of elemental tagged affixes(modifiers).
But you can lower chance of cold, fire, or light tags appear.

Pick 'Attack' - will rise chance for 'attack'. If you check site the Flat Elemental, like 'added fire damage to attacks' have tags of fire, attack and elemental.
This would mean you rise chance for those tag. Adding Physical - would mean you rise chance of Physical as well.
Lowering Cold, Fire, or Light would mean one of elemental damage will drop in chances. If you 'Lower Fire' it would mean you have a bigger chance for Attacks, mainly Physical>Cold/light.

If you 'block'(lower chance in our case) 'Caster', it would mean 'added [type] damage to spells' will have lower chance to appear.

This way you can spam over and over tree untill you get high roll of %Phys and #Phys.
