I think if it's too expensive to revive, it either means you didn't gear them enough to survive, or they're just currently undertuned

I mean I hire them and 5 min later, they get 2 shot. I'm just leveling so I'm not going to go through putting a ton of stuff on them. It's just a weird idea to have them this squishy early game when you're just going to replace them in 4-5 levels because they don't level up.

I got one at act 4, capped his res and he was invincible until act 8, then started getting one shoot, so I stopped using it

okay good to know, that is my point. I'm in a4 currently. I haven't really found enough items to fully res cap them. I just think they are pretty expensive currently (about 20% of the gold I have) to die pretty quickly unless you gear them out significantly

But I'll make sure to keep res items.

I have a build question can anyone help. I've never played a mine build and I'm busy looking at the POB for Exsanguinate Reap Miner, specifically the portion of levelling with power siphon mines. Now in the tree it says I need to take the Snowforged node (increased cold and fire dmg), but I cant for the life of me understand where the fire and cold dmg is coming from? I see it recommends to have added lightning dmg as a support but thats it lol. Probably a simple thing I'm not understanding lol

the rule of thumb has always been - If you're a poorman mage builds crush everything as their early game damage is entirely from their spell gems and you only need links, unless melee skill and bow skills which need good weapons as well

What this means? Is you can focus on defensive gear instead of a weapon, allowing you a mix of ES and Life and some armor to make leveling less...... death spawning esq

Generally once you reach maps you should click map sustain and push to 2 voidstones. Usually people like Expedition/betrayal/shrines for map progression mechanics (tho expedition may be worse with rog competing with merc gear).

honestly not sure whats the deal with RF popularity, tried it before and ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh really felt like need some serious gear to do actual damage
(and the playstyle of need to get up close and personal, something you normally dont want to do as a caster..)

you can use RF in act 2 , it's easy to gear , you get explosions with chieftain , you only need fire res and chaos res, no lightning or cold , they are based on you fire res when you has the nodes , you just shield charge and everything dies , FT for rares and bosses

once you have the fire res mastery ,1 Life per second for each 1% Uncapped Fire Resistance (75% fire resistance = 75 Life Regeneration) , you get like 200-300 in act 2 and you're good
