Your damage has specific tags. Weapon damage may, for instance, start with the "physical" and "attack" tags. If you have "convert 50% phys to cold", 50% of that damage will now be tagged "cold" on top of "physical" and "attack"

In other words, your elemental damage will only apply once

It does not matter if lightning or cold

Your converted damage will have both the "lightning" tag and "cold" tag

There is a sort of relationship mechanic to it, p much just do like... shipments with just what they request early on and go back to farming

Can always start out slow and ramp it up as you go so that your town costs don't outpace your ability to farm

The currency exchange is one of the best updates the game has ever had but i believe there are still a handfull of things that can go in there

And adding normal(scoured)/unique maps/invitations to it would be great too

In general i believe only items w/ variable mods should not be on it(gear,jewels,flasks etc)

I do feel the gold costs are a bit bananas, today i am making some regexes and starting t17

They are laser focused on the coming poe2 beta

Weapons don't have their own trees. More precisely, each weapon set has a number of passives that can be allocated for that weapon set, so sets 1, 2 and Shapeshifting are able to allocate some number of passives differently.

Not really, dodge roll is more to cancel an attack animation or to reposition quickly, you're not going to be doing lots of dodge rolling against most white enemies.

Exceptions being those miniboss types like the Faridun Impaler in the Witch gameplay, which was originally an area boss.

Breachlord is likewise annoying to spawn so didn't bother

Harbinger while in a Breach sounds tricky but I managed to pull it off during my early mapping

and unique map boss that's possessed while in a Ritual is, well, yet again forceable via Ritual scarab

just gotta get lucky with the final Ritual being at the boss arena

I have Resolute Techniques, Monsters can't block attacks, and a decent accuracy investment i feel (several nodes, accuracy on gear), but it seems like 2/3s of the time Ground Slam does the animation but no hits register. Any ideas?

i was having a weird thing happen yesterday running red maps, no matter the map every mob was getting an invulnerability looking shield no matter there was no modifiers stating this it would take 0 damage for atleast 5 seconds then once the invulnerability would shield would go away I could 1 hit everything it was kind of frustrating anyone have any idea what could be causing this I'm on t13-t14 maps so far

Usually you'd use vortex as part of a cold dot build which uses a variety of cold dot spells at once to stack damage. It's also been nerfed across several leagues

Something to look at is ravenous passion as well, but it does require spending a lot of mana

that gives enemies 50% increased damage taken

when they are frozen

the longer they're frozen

so u could try to go that route with freeze duration

but then u need freeze chance

or u can use another skill that freezes

and do a 1-2 combo

Spells have a flat crit chance, usually around 5%, like weapons
Gem level matters a lot more than weapons, obviously

and then idk it depends on the spell

Damage Effectiveness determines how much damage a skill gets from added damage. If you add 100 damage to discharge, discharge will deal 600 extra damage, since it has a DE of 600%.

Since manastacking usually means you're casting the spell by hand, cast speed also matters

Ice nova of frostbolts, the premier manastacker skill has, due to hitting multiple times, a DE of around 2000%/s. So vortex would be about 10x weaker

Two important notes

• added damage doesn't work for cold dot at all, tho indigon is a thing you can do.
• it's important to make a distinction between dots and damaging ailments. All damaging ailments are dots, but not vice versa, but perfect agony (the aforementioned keystone) only applies to ailments, not all dots. If you want to scale the dot from vortex, there's no way to use crits.

Honestly, just going for spell damage cold gem level wand, replica Dragonfang (or +1/2 dot multi amulet ) and a 6 link, maybe with a cold snap to help single target, you should be good for probably red maps.
