Corpses can be insanely powerful but take up a huge amount of time and space to manage properly.
T17s are insane but very hard.
Chaos is worth more than ever and divs less than ever since it replaced exalts.
Unique prices crashed.
Scarabs are pretty cool imo but allow for high end shenanigans that make some of them worth more than the average man can afford

Spicy sushi does some video on high end grave crafting worth looking at. Basically use the craft of exile grave tool and a planner to get close to the percentages while maximizing additional crafts

okay yeah ive watched a bunch of those and i understand how it works (at least i think so) but i have no idea how people are crafting with the adjacent monster type corpses because its impossible to get all the same corpse through trade ive whispered all available demon corpses and i had one response

as far as i can tell there isnt even a way to search for the monster category on the trade site

Try to whisper for 5 corpses and ask them to choose the demons maybe that works
Alternatively adjacency bonus can be ignored in most crafts

Also a more time consuming but cheaper alternative is you can use the rerolled corpse mod corpse the force done of the corpses to be what you want. The corpse type doesn't change when you roll either. I'm farming most of my own corpses so I have a bunch of them

And it works more often than you would expect.

Not as efficient or good as just buying but you could squeeze two or 300%additional craft that way

The league mechanic itself is fine, but the crafting system although good is a bit annoying to do and can take a bit long.

One way to get a lot of energy shield for minions is Bone Barrier, the Necromancer Ascendancy node. Among other things, +40% minion life as energy shield

Well, if get the "Jewellary/Armour of strongest mob converted to X" on it, you can put an exile allflame and it you get a lot of X

you can also add ambush modifier to it on the selection menu, that way you get strong boxes which can contain exiles

Is the "Harbinger Scarab of Discernment" broken? I'm getting drops where it's mostly all one type but then there'll be like 1-2 stacks of some other currency shard. I've got all the harb nodes on the tree, so I'm guessing it's some sort of interaction with the small passive nodes that give "Harbingers in your maps have 20% chance to drop an additional stack of Currency Shards"... but I'd have assumed that it should still be whatever type the scarab rolls

I feel like it's RE, b/c they drop a full kit so that reads like it'd be four divines per rogue exile. But the other X dropped as Y haven't been giving constant numbers, they range from like 5 to 9.

Meatsacks seems to be valued higher on the player market, but idk if there's a reason for that?

I went with rogue exiles, since I had them already... less profit than I might have wanted, but I'm not too upset about it. Especially considering I just dropped 12d on buying a bunch of scarabs/maps/chisels 😄

Get started on this league, you still have a month left. you'll have plenty of time from now until then to be sufficiently frustrated, rage, accept, get better, rage again, get annoyed at trade, quit, come back 2 days later, level an alt, figure out that it doesn't work right, rage, get frustrated at trading again, then give SSF a try, rage at bullshit archnemesis mods and die for the most bullshit reasons, get fed up, despair, say you quit the league to everyone in discord, watch videos, understand you were doing something wrong, make a note of it, learn path of building and start planning for your next league starter in the hopes to breaking the cycle.

you have nothing to loose in terms of playing in the league, even this late into the league

the reason you see people moaning and whining about the league being dead, is because largely people are market manipulating, or hoping to hit the ground really fast and level though and get itno a dominant position each league.

if you've never played the game, you're not going to face these same issues

yeah... the reason I say to avoid Standard, is that it's going to be very hard to find good trades from people in standard, since the economy's so off from "regular"

Standard is basically the "graveyard" of all previous leagues, so people have amassed incalculable wealth by having 40+ leagues all collapse in there over the last 10+ years.

at least necropolis league still has people playing it that aren't going to ask multiple divines for 2c rares

• there are many ways to heal yourself but not many ways to heal allies, so healing is usually something each player handles for themselves even when playing in a group, though you definitely can help your allies heal if you want to

Can someone explain me why people on reddit are so afraid of bad retention in poe? Because I played some leagues from start to finish (Ritual, Ultimatum, Sanctum) and it was all the same even with great retention numbers. 1 month in a lot of players leave and play other games, and this is a point when nobody buys rares (except crafted ones) and other things that drop a lot from maps. Necropolis numbers are bad for sure, but the game itself this league after 1 month+ is not different from other leagues imo

First thing you need to do, is stop arguing with people on Reddit.
Second, the numbers are the numbers, the game was build with the wax/wane approach to content.
Third, people who are staunch defenders of meta builds, who seek to only have fun via extreme power gaming invariably get bored when they hit that magical "power fantasy" number that they feel godlike. the chase is what they're after, not the end result.
Lastly, people in echo chambers like to conflate their own opinions as facts and will delude themselves into believing whatever meaning they think they can glean from the screeching chorus of similar views.
Best to ignore that stuff and play the game how you like, and leave the subreddit to it's own devices.

Most experienced players don't take more than a few minutes per area, with some speedrunners even being able to do the whole campaign in 2/3 hours, so it's just a matter of learning the game and learning the zones.

It also changes what gems you'll get as rewards from quests, but eventually all classes can buy (almost) all gems from vendors
