you should kind of know your limits with the MF build first, MF can be expensive to do super juiced maps. After that choose a map strategy that is good and fits well with the build, this league abyss is at an all time high

after that get the scarabs, sextants, and good modded maps and go play the game

the rule of thumb is, you want to have a lot of mobs in your maps and still be able to kill them without much issue

I am not a MF enjoyer, I actually dislike playing MF builds, but those are really efficient. Specially TS MF, which is strong even outside of leagues like this, that have tons of benefits for MF

• 1 hes standing beside 1 totem like thing and he drops a ritual vessel
• the other you'll find 3 totems in a triangle, clicking them opens a portal to a different area where you'll find the King

for the "final" King you need to be in t14+ maps and he will be in the darkness, theres usually not a wisp trail leading to him, can be super annoying to find at times

crit chance, armour, evasion, chance to avoid x ailment / stun / curses, reduced duration of x ailment, attack / cast speed, immunity to x effect - I've probably forgotten a couple

the usual way to craft MB flasks (ilevel 84+ base is best)

• use enkindling orbs to get +% effect (ideally +70%)
• alt spam till you hit +25% increased effect prefix with a suffix that you want (ignore reduced duration as it doesnt matter with MB)

you can usually cover all your elemental resistances with a single flask with MB, either use a Bismuth with a suffix you want or if you have some resistance you cant get rid of (like on uniques) sometimes a resistance suffix is enough (t1 is +40%)

Anyone have any general magic find advice? A lot of what im finding is specific MF builds but id rather play my boneshatter build. Im pretty new so mqybe its obvious. If I use 2 ventors the mana cost becomes an issue, my chest piece helps too much with my toughness, (phys to ele) or i get killed , so any recommendations without having to fully adjust my build would be helpful.

rings ( ventors), chest (Greeds) and boots (Goldwyrm) are the bread and butter of almost all MF builds

theres a few other decent MF items like Sadima's and the book loooking shield (cant remember the name) but they are generally more niche

You may just have to resign yourself to not being able to run MF with your current character, either level another or just do the same strats as the MFers without the gear, you'll still make currency just not as much

Quite the opposite for me. Burial Chambers axes abyss spawns far more frequently where it'll not spawn any for 2 of 3 levels and not much in the 3rd.
@torpid vine my understanding of it has to do with the amount of mechanics in the map and spacing for abysses to spawn. Abysses take up the most space by far. If you have natural strongboxes, essences, alva, einhar, jun, tormented spirits, ultimatum, etc etc these all take up that precious space. I had a LONG streak of getting 1 or 2 abysses to spawn with the only extra forced modifiers of deli orb and tormented spirits. Removed torment from the equation and spawns resumed. It's weird as fuck for how it works.

with a little testing, cartographer scarabs seem to be bugging out when combined with out scarabs, not a single map in around 5-6 runs with cart scarabs, but as soon as we took the cart scarabs out they were dropping like crazy again

Most likely need more monster packsize in your maps. Additionally the atlas passives, "2% chance for one monster in each of your maps to drop an additional connected map" is very helpful. Combined with wandering path + singular focus notable atlas passives should give you more maps than you know what to do with.
