Not that I've seen. Some of them have item level restrictions but I've only ever gotten one mutation-exclusive node. They are exceedingly rare.

I believe (and cannot prove) that transform is a 5%-ish chance, but the transform only nodes are just thrown into the mod pool, and none of them have overly high weightings. Things are staggeringly rare as a result - once your 4th column node rolls "Yes, I will transform", it's still <1% to hit Rampage.

I can't really see how the Crucible mechanic would interest a new player after campaign. It's fun to mess around with for a bit, but it takes so much time that it doesn't feel worth doing if you don't know what you're looking for. Crucible seems much more catered to experienced players. Still, you have the entire rest of the game for enjoyment and there's not much reason to play Standard over league imo.

When trying to craft this SST Shield base it disconnected the 4th node. However it landed the first desired node.
From here on do I just spam random trees that can connect it until it hits?

I had the exact same thing happen. I decided to spam random trees with 1 or 2 nodes max. It took about 8 or 9 tries to reconnect without losing/downgrading nodes.

it can become an issue really quick but I do know players who purposely play with only the base 4 tabs. The biggest issue isn't even the currency and map tab, which are absolutely useful -- it's actually not being able to sell to others, which requires premium stash tabs. But if you're SSF then it's moot and what you'll basically want is to prioritize space based on how often you're using stuff.

portal scrolls can be eliminated once you get a portal gem, even if it means having to keep it in your inventory and putting it into a socket when you finish a map. baubles, armor scraps, and whetstones have their own vendor recipe cycle and the scraps and whetstones drop commonly enough that they are unlikely worth saving. orb of transmutation, augmentation i would never have more than 1 stack. Scrolls of wisdom are probably not worth saving beyond a stack you keep in your inventory at all times to ID on the go and at most, 1 stack in your inventory.

your rogue's markers can be put into a heist locker, as can contracts/blueprints. Expedition currency has their own locker too.

Your inventory prioritization will also change based on what your goals are. Are you planning on doing a big craft? figure out what you want to do on a simulator like craftofexile first so you know if you'll be farming/buying fossils or essences or something else and only collect for that one project. do one thing at a time and don't hoard. Sell off tft if you think you have something worth money, but you'll basically be playing the game with increased difficulty since you won't be able to stockpile resources. if you truly, truly love the game after having played it for a while, put aside literally a dollar or two every month and when a stash tab sale goes on, you'll be able to buy it. GL exile! 🙂

Another thing is if you enjoy playing standard as well as league, preorganize your league stash before it dumps to standard and you effectively save it as extra stashes that you can no longer put in, but can always take out, as a savings account. so when you start running out of space on your main 4 tabs in standard, you can prioritize what to pick up off the ground based on what you have out of ALL your tabs as opposed to just the 4 main ones. You might be wanting to 6-link a 5-link chest piece you really like so you're gunning for all the fusings and jewellers orbs (to turn into fusings) but don't want to take the dive until you have a LOT of fusings as a buffer, which will eat up that space VERY quickly and prevent you from basically looting any bubblegum currency. But if you have multiple remove-only stashes with said bubblegum currency, you can rest easy and loot only the jewellers and fusings until you hit a point where you're ready to either take the gamble in trying to upgrade yout 5-link to a 6-link or collect enough to mastercraft the 6 link with an absurd amount of fusings 🙂

But ofc this is only if you play both league and standard, or at the very least, primarily standard (I personally enjoy both 😄 )

It's a crafting league. Crucible is only worth interacting with at endgame for minmax purposes. Other than exploding totems, it didn't really enable builds by itself. It has a decent payoff but interacting with the forge is not very fun. Overall, enjoyable league but the mechanic is rather boring.

The gear trees are certainly an exciting concept, I just don't enjoy the level of randomness involved. If RF had a usable node I would have put up with it I guess. It's awkward as a league mechanic and has near zero use until endgame which is unfortunate.

but on a wep, off the top of my head you can get something like 30% increased dot dmg, 16% fire dot multi, keystone, enlighten

How does crucible tree merging work?

It'll almost always take nodes from the two items trees, it'll mostly prefer allocated nodes over unallocated nodes, if there's a spot that's empty on one tree it'll usually take a node in the same spot from the other tree

Chances are anecdotally something like 70% for allocated node to beat unallocated node, chance to put a node in an empty space might be higher than that, so you find a tree with a couple nodes you want and a lot of space and mash trees with nodes you want that line up with an empty space you can get to onto it, imprinting if you're using expensive nodes or trying to get something real nifty going

blue items early on are really good, you can look up some "vendor recipies" to get extra damage on gear for a gaurenteed 1 affix blue, then use an orb of augmentation or the crafting bench to get the other affix you need

boxes won't overlap, but old box content generally becomes available for standard prizes for X slot for Y price, after a while.

Hello, this league will be my second league. During Crucible I mainly played a Cyclone slayer. I (almost) never interacted with the league mechanic, reached 132/132 Atlas points and 26 challenge points. I got carried hard by more experienced players though.

This league I would like to play a league starter that can scale through endgame, as my game time is limited, or at least be able to either map really well or boss really well. I would also like to be doing things on my own and try to reach 132/132 without being carried (too much).

The builds I was looking for are : Hexblast mines, Impeding Doom (PF or Occ, not sure) and a minion build like SRS (but would prefer absolution).

What ya guys think I should go for between those?

Also do you see a farming strategy that could fit one of those better than another?

Doom on pf seems a good shout, especially as ranger has a lot of the endgame builds towards it imo (kb, la, ts etc) so you can always swap out later without having to change entire character
