Going by the truckloads of salt in the poe sub, it is clear that all the whining and bitching about how D4 is too ”simple” and ”casual” misses the huge issue with complexity: you get a bloated mess with AN mods that oneshot you offscreen or league mechanic where one rare is practically unkillable while you bulldoozer through everything else. I think these problems of Poe is something content creators hugely omitted when criticizing D4. Yes, that game is simpler because it is approachable for casuals but also because complexity can lead to dogshit mechanics that sap ”fun” out of it

yes, but at that point it's not completely SSF friendly. But also again I note it's still significantly cheaper for RF to push/pay that bit more to be able to do said content regardless.

Regarding Avatar of the Hunt vs 7% attack speed for a Lightning Arrow Deadeye, I'd recommend going for Avatar of the Hunt. The extra movement speed, damage, and elemental resistances will provide a more well-rounded benefit for your build compared to just 7% attack speed. However, if you find that you're lacking in attack speed, you can always consider swapping later on.

So i just got my passive tree on my unique shield and the first passive node is +75 max life / 20% reduced damage. POB really dosent show this 20% reduced damage as any dps lose. If you use a scour on the tree at a crucible forge in a map you can unallocate the nodes. Allocated nodes have a higher chance of surviving a merge. You probably wanna imprint the item in case it overwrites your deeper nodes though

Yes, but you can also use imprint beasts to save your base if there’s something you are afraid of getting overwritten

As I understand it the best way to do is from back to front

So you wanna find whatever depth 5 mod you want (if any, most seem to be meme tier), then find a depth 4 mod and blend them, then blend the result onto your base

Obviously you can skip the blend 4+5 step together if you don’t care about a depth 5

Then you’ve got a base where depth 1-3 are whatever (unless you already have nodes there you want, in which case allocate them)

And a sacrifice item with your depth 4 mod

If the base has desired nodes, imprint beast it.

Blend the sacrificial item and hope it works out

If you now have the base with the mods you want at later depths (and any potential early nodes you want) imprint it again, find a base with the missing nodes you want at depth 1-3, allocate them on that item and then blend them

So personally I think it’s better to settle on a crucible tree you want before you start crafting if you want a properly GG weapon

Just do maps, assign your atlas passives to hit the “map wheels” first - shaping the sky/mountain/valley/whatever. Get at least three of them so you can actually sustain maps and then start pushing yourself as high into maps as you can go.

its far cheaper to Spend 10-20 Amorours scrap or blacksmiths whetstone to get an item to 20% quality. higher the quality of an item the higher chance it will make more sockets or more links. its also FAR FAR cheaper to start with a base (common item) and use 3-4 to get 20% quality and upgrade it with a Esscense to a rare with a desired asset and it retains its quality level.

i've blown thru 100+ Jewlers orbs along time ago. trying to get Max sockets on a few items. then realized getting 20% quality is a must before doing any kind of crafting to it. (if it has Sockets and Links)

taken me up to around 50 Jewlers orbs to get a 6 link from a 0% quality unique. and taken me less than 10 to get 6 socket

The pathing is good. Nodes would connect.

I didn't save the screenshots before the krangle, but I had the pathing right.

One weapon had no 5th nodes, the other had 3.

Only 1 of them remained on the connected tree.

Both weapons had a 4th node on the same location. I leveled only the one I wanted to keep

So unless it's important for the tree which item is above or below, I presume any of these can happen- one of the nodes replace the other, both disappear.

I wonder if having the same node in same location on both trees increases the chances of keeping it, or even ensures it

Atm my biggest issue with forging is that the tree structure itself gets so random after the forging. I read about the "work from last to first" approach this morning.
