Ya know, I think gggs vision of loot feeling impactful would work better if they got rid of like half the shit affix tiers. Or at least made sure higher Ilvl gear couldn’t roll below a certain tier of affix. Like life doesn’t need 15 tries. Resistances don’t need 8 tiers.

Game had some decently big changes and people hate change. They get so blinded by rage that things arn't the way the used to be so they cant see whats infront of them. The game is fun imo. I've not been overly affected negatively and my experience is pretty much the same as before.

I think the league prolly falls somewhat between the pure salt of Reddit and straight copium, prolly leaning towards salt. But that’s still a solid game state, just needs tweaked.
It’s def not fun to see giga juiced maps drop almost no loot to be fair. Mapping does feel a bit rip in the current state.
I figured being able to spec into desired content on your atlas would make mapping worthwhile tho.

I dont try to be elitist.. But i severly notice the impact playing an aurabot. Group play was my favourite activity and now it has stalled completely. There is no reason to juice your content hard enough so an aurabot is needed...
I've stopped playing the game on reaching lvl 96 with only 6% till 97.
The main reason is because there isnt anything to do at this stage. In 3.18 i leveled up 2 characters to 100. Had a blast playing minions...

Like, I fully intended to come back and put a month or two in to the League like I usually do. I've been on hiatus, but seeing like... Literally every big streamer that is in a whole different cosmos than me on this game saying the League is pretty much DoA, and especially hearing minions are completely gimped... Like that's just... That's damning to me.

I think more targeted loot will ultimately be a good thing, but right now it's kinda rough. (Granted, I'm still in Act 2 while I wait to see what patches bring.) The campaign is often hit or miss for stuff you actually need vs. stuff you want, though. One league I was extremely unlucky with pants, of all things, and just could not get pants to drop until I started mapping. In short, RNGeezus is still a thing.

Same stuff as before. Focus on static drops and take advantage of the currency increase. Stay away from juicing outside of maybe legion if your character is legion-viable.

Not really. Chaos and cold dot are both archetypes in an unpleasant situation where they're forced to use all of the skills in the archetype at once to get acceptable DPS.

ssf has been a challenge first and foremost, as has hardcore, and the combination of both is already skewing play patterns that everyone outside of those three minorities do that it's not exactly easy to compare them
pretending that things are fine because you don't feel that much more burden after fighting GGG servers and not even being able to trade shit doesn't make it okay, it just means that your self imposed challenge hasn't given you the chance to experience everyone elses frustrations

Yeah I agree, I said that people who are insanely good at the game don't need those items, but the majority of the PoE community isn't insanely good at the game, and while the best players in trade can make multiple mirrors in a few days and SSFHC players can beat uber bosses with subpar gear I'm far from suggesting that everyone can do it, but if even people who are fine after the chages are complaning there's definitely something wrong.

In most ARPGs I've played, bosses are the only really rewarding kills. Either that, or rare monsters. But in PoE, any monster could be rewarding, which was a nice change. For the longest time, most bosses were just unrewarding, and it's been nice that they've tried to make them more rewarding as well, but truly the only rewarding bosses are the League-specific ones. Map bosses might as well just be another basic mob to the loot filter.
But it baffles me that GGG would gut loot drops from mob killing when it's really been the only source of loot. Not really an issue, since some loot still drops, but pair that with gutting crafting, and you have a lot of angry folk in the higher-end who cannot make gear in an un-frustrating way anymore.

Either I delete them, or they are a damage sponge that cannot kill me and takes a long time, or they just completely brick the encounter and there is no practical mitigation other than run away (or die because a billion pilons spawned on you that you could not see because they are blue and you skill is also blue and the screen is a clusterfuck)

even if you get to maps, it really feels like the character progression hits a brick wall once you get to red maps. the game kind of ends for the casual player. The barrier to end game stuff and even being able to craft a good item feels like that is not an option for anyone playing casually
