the confusing thing about the item drops change is that they seemingly were aware of the fact that leagues drop way more items than normal monsters because that was the whole point of the atlas tree and masters rework. they built the entire end game around stuffing your maps with as many league mechanics as possible, and then go and nerf all league drops so they're similar to regular map mobs

It felt like a smooth integration. Lake just feels, I dunno, labored? In comparison. I’m not sure how to put my finger on what bothers me about it.
I mean maybe you are right, but I thought that maps had a certain number of “slots” so to speak for league mechanics to occur. As in, if there is an expedition in this map, that’s one less “slot” for an abyss to also show up. But maybe kalindra is independent like you say. I’m not sure.

i have issue with basic currencies like chromatic or such , so i cant have all my gems
i cant have all my gems so i dont have much survivability or damage, it takes longer to clear maps
and the 'upgrades' i want are between 10 to 30c so it takes me a lot of time for them, because i have to buy max linked ( 4 or 5à with correct sockets and a good roll

in an arpg after all so its main goal should be loot explosions, killing ton of monsters, running fast etc, but the inbalance is real, i invited a friend to play with me, i told him to play absolution necro for leveling and i am explo ballista, but we got stunlocked by rhoas on act 1 i think and later we couldnt kill yellow mobs , they felt invincible

i know they throw the "hard mode" thing around a lot, but as an outsider just coming into the game -- i personally wouldn't mind if there were two totally separate poe games, one styled around zoom-zoom + crafting gear and one styled around rarer drops where your power comes from better drops and only minor increases via crafting. i would totally play both games -- they just need to separate the "our vision" game from the "this is what 90% of the community ACTUALLY wants" game
the crafting systems could even be the same, with craft mats just being rarer drops in the second/"hard" version

In reality kalandra flips you off 2/3 of the lakes, with a 10 map per lake basis thats one attempt per 30 map and 90% of the time the jewel is horrible and unsalvageable because you cant craft on it so no life roll =0 life

I don't feel the burn as much because I rarely got the chance to juice on league content, I don't do craft beyond basic essence and lab enchant so the crafting nerfs doesn't impact me as much.
But I am annoyed that it's the good players who are better at the game than me who are getting punished.
Which is frankly not a good design by any metric.

I've booted up Titan Quest and logged onto my old legendary character and did a few end-game runs. I got more loot and good drops than this league has been giving or will probably ever give. I've gotten my poe SSF toon to finish all 10 acts and start maps but even then, it's been a struggle to loot anything worthwhile to get my character going. It's just barren and the jacked up mobs makes it worse. I can't trust Chris anymore with this crap.
