For those with input lag, try a server closer to you instead of automatic. Mine was connected to Singapore and I’m US east. Not sure if it’ll make a difference, but I’ll find out in a couple minutes.

Pretty sure auto on PoE did a latency poll and selected the lowest one. Doesn’t seem to be happening here.

So, just messed around a bit more and finally I have minimal input lag.
Change to a server of ur choice, the one being closest, change options to Shadows only, without global illum (yes it helped almost instantly), and then, close the game entirely (not just to character screen, completely turn off the game)
Then, turn it on and dont mess with any other settings. Did this, and right away from unplayable, went to almost 0 delay.
Now to an other issue (not an issue at all, I actually like this). Game is actually hard?! 😄 Rolling with Monk, and actuallye died a lot (after fixing the lag, before that even the wind killed me)

Havent changed anything else than those mentioned. Make sure you pick the closest server to your country, restart the game (really important, press quit game when in home screen, thats what made my huge difference), and try disabling cross play as well (gonna reduce the amount of people in main areas

Be mindful to check your server and graphics settings after you quit and restart the game as well as after a crash because mine reset every time.
Correction: graphics settings reset after a crash but gateway resets to auto every time I quit and restart the game.

So, does anyone have good console settings for xbox so that it feels a bit smoother to play? Currently, my game feels more laggy/clunky and not as smooth as I see people's videos and what not. I did change some settings but alas, I don't remember which ones or how to get to default, but I don't see a set to default option on xbox... any help would be appreciated

First step is to go to login screen. Go to options. Second tab. Search for gateway. Set it to a place near you.

I messed around with the graphics settings. I’m using a series x with a large TV. I found the the (default) setting (NIS) created problems like screen tearing and kind of light strobe. So default doesn’t necessarily mean recommended. Current using Bilinear. resolution of 50% with dynamic res off. If I go higher then 50 I turn dynamic res on. Still playing around with it.

Ok I just know that Xbox users have been defaulting to like Singapore and it left input lag. That turned me off from playing first night till someone told me to fix it

Go to a busy area. Bring up options when the screen gets real busy (lots of particles and mobs). You’ll see in the top a little graph showing frames per second. Change you graphic settings to see how it impacts it. Give it try and see if it runs smoother for you. So far this is the setting I like the most. looking for the best trade off between quality and performance (fps). Fps being king when I’m playing a game like this.
My guess is GGG has some work to do here graphically for the consoles to optimize it however it’s still pretty darn good for early access imho.

That sounds like the lag I had before I changed server. Try changing to another server via gateway

Has anyone tried asking Microsoft for a refund of their EA package? I still can't access any of my MTX, have 0 of the 600 points and can't even switch back to my Xbox sub account. GGG support is not responding
