In POE every class can be anything but the ascendancies often are better for certain things. Ascendancies are like subclasses if you haven't gotten to that part yet
But yes Dualist and Marauder has some really good ascendancies for those types of builds! Dualist - Slayer is probably the best all-rounder I think

If you ever played Diablo 2, there's a "whirlwind" skill called Cyclone you could try out 😄

Smite or Smite of Divine Judgment could probably also be really good
