one big issue with lifestack is

a) lifestack builds basically need to run Rathpith, it's objectively the best lifestack payoff by a mile, even on attack builds. Like the only lifestack builds not running Rathpith are the pure support aurabots, which don't care about dealing damage.

b) this means they must run 1h and shield, and the shield is Rathpith, not Squire. This means the only space for a 6-link is in the chest.

c) Kaom's Heart gives up your chest sockets. Untouched Soul requires giving up as many sockets as possible. This means the only lifestack builds that can run either are ones that can afford to place their main damage link in a non-6-link.

And that's mainly Relic of the Pact

eh, honestly I feel I gave Dissolution more flak that it deserves. On Relic of the Pact, yeah, Dissolution sucks complete ass. You take more than 7% HP and suddenly you can't deal damage anymore, you can't defend yourself, and you run away or die, meaning it plays like a ridiculously squishy build with like 7% of the max HP. Blood Barrier helps with this a lot though.

Dissolution feels terrible if you're playing Relic of the Pact (which functionally plays like it has 7% of that max HP), or before you've resolved most of the common DoTs like ignite/poison/bleed, but once you've solved those DoT ailments, aren't playing Relic, and have some decent mitigation, it actually feels great

I imagine that a Gladiator version probably feels even better, since with max block Glad, they're looking at upwards of 96% block chance, which is probably enough to let your Dissolution reset while actively taking damage from a bunch of enemies

like, I still prefer real regen, I'm a big regen enjoyer

but Dissolution is pretty alright when you get to actually use the entire health bar
