Like sure, they make it easier for you to get hit by chaining projectiles, but they also block a whole lot more projectiles than that with their face. And they occupy space, which is great for preventing aggressive melee enemies from jumping you. And they're great for locating that last enemy you missed because it blended in with the ground in a dark room or something. And they prevent fast energy shield recharge enemies from recharging their energy shield while you reposition. And so much more.

Plus they're fun to have around.

I realized that I hadn't run the fourth lab, while fishing for a transfigured gem for one of my next builds. Didn't find the gem, but did make a 3.5 div profit so stonks, I guess
