For me the biggest thing is that the open World System felt like it clashed a lot with their more obscure NPC tree storyline. I get how it worked in the other games but I felt like they should have added a little bit more play a friendly set up so you don't miss story chains having to find NPCs in X location several times. I would have been fine with that getting some more hand holding so I didn't have to look up freaking guides while playing the first time to not miss out on a character
