Simply try out the different mechanics

Investigate the atlas passive tree nodes, take your time reading through it

it is very nuanced based on the price of the scarabs and the character power required for each strat and the current market price of what ur farming, it will be very different for every single setup so its hard to say any specific

Thats fine, if you want to know what scarabs do what, you can always speak to faustus to open the currency exchange, and then look up the different scarabs to see what they say

As for the tree, you can click on the icon in the middle of the passive wheels to highlight the other node wheels for that mechanic in the tree

Then you can read through them to see what sounds best

with enough AoE it does about 70% more damage baseline, does full cold convert, so you dont have to solve for that, aoe is more available than chain for coverage

i think gc does more damage and clears better if you invest into 100+ inc AOE due to the triple overlap, also you can reserve more auras as you can't go full low life with exsang as it costs life. also in ssf i dont like exsang at leaguestart because the clear is bad unless you get that one runegraft which gives you chain. but i think both builds are viable if you build them correctly
