Usually I'll keep jewels, amulets, and rings, and maybe belts on my filter at the relevant ilvls, and I'll just fill up my inventory before I leave a map. Bulk ID 'em, throw 'em in a sale tab for 5c, leave it for a week. Whatever's still there in a week, vendor it and move on
And even that's really only worth doing at the beginning of a league, by this point it's not worth it to even do that 99% of the time

you can also get awakened poe trade (if you're on PC) that'll help you price checking items but basically early in the league easiest gear to check/sell are rings, amulet, boots, some weapons
for rings you check for life and res if you have good life and res roll it'll sell well
for amulet life, +1 spell skill gems (ilevel75+), damage multiplier/critic
boots movement speed, life, res
melee weapons elemental dps/physical dps (flat & %)
if the rares you have are really just random dropped rare that have no interesting mods on them you might as well just sell them to vendor or leave them on the ground 😅
