Act 1 is 14 maps, and they're mostly pretty long
Act 2 is 16 maps, and they're a mix between long and short
Act 3 is at least 15 maps, potentially 17, and they're often very long, which is why Act 3 feels like the longest act.
Act 4 is 12 maps, but some are pretty short
Act 5 is 10 maps, and many of them are really short

Act 6 is 14 maps, some of them quite long, but by this point you should be a lot stronger and faster.
Act 7 is 15 maps, though some can be confusing
Act 8 is 15 maps optimally, 16 less optimally, but still some pretty long zones
Act 9 is like 11 maps I think, but one is like four smaller maps in a trenchcoat
