Hey guys, I'm looking for a fairly easy build to play until maps. I work a crazy schedule and the kiddo isn't sleeping a ton so I don't get as much time to play now. It doesn't need to be a totally brainless build, but something that's pretty straightforward and kinda tanky to solo the campaign with would be nice
You can do basically any caster with my prayers recharge tech
It give tank part, then you can grab any spell you like to kill
Need lvl 28 to equip said item tho

I can give you mine, but it's for endgame (65+)

It’s fine. I find forge hammer better overall and they serve the same purpose, which is laying fissures for you to slam on to blow up. Your mileage may vary.

Hammer also better as standalone ranged attack too

You don't want to swap to Obliterator or Warmonger until you can afford a bow good enough to socket it with 11 Div Runes (That give Additional Arrows) Countess Seske's Run of Archery... Otherwise Gemini is the goto until then.

yeah, and i know all minion life mods should work too, but other than that, like, what supports that gives best damage, what annoints to use etc
its also debatable which minion to use for it, i see the Blood Elemental got shit movespeed, so if you dont want to weaponswap constantly to spawn them at your location, maybe frozen Mandibles are better? they got slightly less healthpool but are much faster, or the Faridun Impaler? idk
how's the verdict been for Hollow Palm? Good for endgame, or too difficult to scale?
Is there a reason to scale flammability magnitude over 100%
my tooltip flammability magnitude on my incinerate is 121%-177%
should i uninvest until i get that down to 100% - 1xx% and just put on more base damage?
Disclaimer: this is what i would think/do myself if i were in your situation, i havent actually tested this myself yet.
if you are instantly igniting boss-level enemies (filling their flammability) with the first hit you deal to them then yes i would say you dont need more magnitude.
i dont know if there are any other reasons to investing higher than that in flammability magnitude

stuck in act3 with a spark bloodmage (plan for mapping is a maxxed out crit build). My current spark + orb of storms set up is doing doo-doo damage. Should I swap spark out for something like arc until I'm high level enough for cast on crit?
or is it possible to get spark doing good damage in act 3 with the correct support gems?

As a titan warrior, I have a lot of resistance against armor and elemental damage, but how do I get resistance against chaos damage, primarily against chaos dots? Even at 70% chaos resistance, they almost one shot me

getting chaos resistance is like one of the only ways we can try fight that. You can try and get ailment threshold or immunity. You unfortunately cant get CI since your a warrior tree. Its tough.. IDK maybe someone else knows the answer
There are lots of build guides for witch it seems like every streamer is playing minions for easy mode builds just youtube liek kripparian or ghazzy for minion builds they all run witch for easy mode minions
Even with considerable life regen, chaos dots kills me in 1 sec, meanwhile I can sit afk in a 15+ map and not die
Like cant we get poison immunity or at least make it really hard to not be poisoned
And there is still a lot of chaos ground effect, specially at abyss
How much life do you have?
is there like a best defensive/meat shield spectre? currently using the vaal overseer (the big vaal with a sword)
I never noticed chaos debuffs on my lich, and I don't have CI and only 22% chaos res and ES take double damage from chaos
Also many abyss ground effects are phys damage that armour doesn't reduce since it's a dot
could go use an antidote charm in the meantime
I doubt poison are his main problem tbh
something is off with indigon and incinerate, it doesn't seem to do anything at all to it
even with 4k mana spent it barely creeps up to 50% flammability and sometimes doesn't even ignite afterwards lol

3500 life and 70 chaos res is way more than 15k es with 24 chaos res
And I tank everything, chaos included, without any worry

It's definitely chaos, because it's from abyss mobs
I’m currently using ball lightning and warp, does great damage. But is there a simple way to increase the amount of balls, maybe some that spawn on warp or something. When I cast then warp to all of them, feels like it slows the clearing down a lot having to recast them so frequently, any suggestions would be great 🙂
Maybe with 5% more chaos resistance it could me more doable, but I don't know if I could add another layer of defence against chaos

ignite is 80% of that....
it gains 12 damage stages too
that's like x4 damage
earlier with a regular ignite build it actually was doing big damage

you are more or less obkigated to have +X total, up to +10
but even now at least +6 or smth

yeah, that's why +6, not +10 or more
and indigon's deal is that you only want mana efficiency and enough cast speed to balance it out
since cheaper spell (lower level) means more increased spell damage
spark at 15 vs 20 is 1.8x damage for 1.7x the mana cost
so with indigon, in theory, the difference is only 10% if i can ramp it up and keep it there
normal build have around 600-800% increased
you need to get total of 4000% with indigon increased to get even with simple +10 to gems
sparks scales worse then
i picked one as example, it gets worse (for indigon) at even higher levels
but that's around where i'm at
now, i forgot how much spell damage i had before unfortunately, i didn't think of writing it down
arc is 1.95 at 20 vs 15

all doedre builds i've seen tend to be a bit less amazing at these levels
but still super good and with mad aoe

lets say i gain 100% of dmg as extra chaos dmg, but my build is only lightning and cold, would i benefit from chaos dmg nodes like this one?
or does it just take my dmg as a whole and adds on top of it
chaos portion would benefit
it takes base damage(cold and lightning in your case), add 100% of it as chaos
then eash damage part is affected by all mods that affect that damage part
so modifiers to lightning damage won't affect chaos at all

Yes. Conversion (including damage as extra) is step before increases and "more damage" modifires.
yeah the conversion is actually why for example if you have convert all phys to lightning and then had a bonus phys damage roll you would actually get nothing from it because it converts to lightning and then tries to add bonus phys % to all lightning dmg
guys which ascendancy for a fissure focused build on warrior? Titan or warbringer?

hey guys, any idea what can kill me through my energy shield? i have 1k life and 9k ES and sometimes i get 1 shot with ES full, i cant figure out what kills me since it happens so fast & randomly
you can still get 1 shot for 10k dmg
Not on low mana means above 35%, even if those gloves could get to a roll below 35% you'd simultaneously be at low and full mana and not have Unholy Might
but then my energy shield would be zero not full right?
I think poison and bleed both go through your energy shield
thats why people get immune to bleed and take CI and are like impossible to kill

CI makes you immune to Bleed, and poison deals chaos damage so you're immune to it too
You're either being exploded by mobs (unfortunate) or killing yourself somehow

I never ended up playing the bleed builds with rake last season. I’m trying to make a rake/disengage build. I’m trying to be able to just hit everything once in juiced maps with rake but finding myself having to hit rates a few times with rake. Is it just duration and magnitude that will make me be able to one shot? I don’t have many options left on the tree for magnitude of bleed and bleed duration so trying to figure it out
you need close to 100% crit chance, around 1k crit damage, lots of flat damage on rings and gloves and the right supports, tons of bleed magnitude of course

could it be that "the other modifiers to movementspeed" include sprinting? ... because i get slower when i try to sprint and when i change to other movementspeed boots with 15% i am faster that with these boots with 29%.

It does ignore all resists. Even if a boss only had 15% fire res, that’s still a huge increase to your damage. Though i’m pretty sure they generally have higher resists than thatz

Would Long Fuse support gem on Frost Bomb cause it to increase the amount of exposure that it applies? I wasnt sure if increasing its detonation time caused it to pulse at the same rate of speed for a longer time or if it simply delays the pulse speed to compensate for longer detonation time

guys how does this work exactly? Does it automatically trigger the socketed spells every 2 seconds, assuming it has enough energy? Without having to press the skill myself? And if so, does it trigger the spells multiple times if enough energy, or only once every 2 seconds no matter what?
You have to activate it like a normal invocation, then it fires twice as many spells total but only one every 2 seconds until it runs out of energy
so i have on redblade banner (monsters count as double power) but when i stun a boss(unique) hammer of the gods only gets 20 instead of the 40 its supposed to get on heavy stunning. is this a bug or is there something im missing

it actualy isnt consisten. i think the In pressence detection might be messing with it sometimes i get 40%(20) and sometimes 80%(40) but im always in melee range when getting stun so i think if the stagger for the boss goes back far enough its considered not in range for presence instead of being calculated at the time the stun is applied

as armour can reduce the hits a lot and is limited by HP
also you have things Like Reinforced Barrier
and Adamant recovery
reinforced barrier is literally better when you have zero ES on items
you will have more effective max hit by... simply going pure ES
(and str/ES is good idea, after all that black cycle teaching exists)
es/eva have a lot more going together that armour/es, both nodes, ghost dance, basic functions(eva is good right until it isn't and ES cover that, meanwhile eva give ES time ro recharge. And "lead me through grace" exist on top

you scale fire
you can only scale post-conversion values
if you have 100% physical dmg -> 100% fire dmg -> 100% lightning dmg conversion for example, increased %phys and increased %fire dmg do nothing
only %inc lightning dmg would work
so scaling-wise u scale the fire, base dmg-wise it's generally a mix
when looking for flat rolls on gloves/rings u mainly go for elemental
cus 1) physical flat rolls are lower values
2) u don't have 100% phys>fire conversion
when crafting weapons u have a choice
u can either do full elemental like some mix of flat fire + flat lightning + gain % dmg as fire + ele dmg% prefixes
or u can do physical with high % and high flat phys
it's different from rings/gloves because phys rolls on weapon r scaling the base phys dmg on the wep + multiply off each other, so you can reach very high numbers with a good wep
whereas individual flat rolls on rings/gloves, phys can't reach the same values as flat ele rolls
typically with these conversion skills, a good phys weapon and a good ele weapon are quite similar in final dmg values
but a near-perfect phys weapon is typically better than a near-perfect ele weapon, as again the % and flat multiply off each other whereas flat ele rolls are independent

in terms of what kind of flat u look for, it's mostly fire dmg early on
when u can afford a rakiata's flow it stops mattering as much, since u have full reverse pen on all elements
so u could drop fire pen/fire-specific scaling and pick up lightning/cold flat as well
most common with these fire skills is to do some combo of fire and lightning dmg ultimately (or just pure lightning with valako's, but imo that's worse than mixed in most setups cus u can shock with mixed dmg without having to sacrifice ur glove slot)
cus ignite kinda blows and shock is great for dmg, and lightning flat rolls higher than fire flat

alternate weapons = uses whatever the current weapon is
simultaneous = skill crits if even 1 of the weapons crits

Hellow, I'm theorycrafting a very straightforward infernalist fireball build. The idea is to spam fireball/firewall/other fire spells, with cast speed/crit.
Do I gain much/lose much by picking Blackflame Covenant? I feel like the damage will be similar, I'll just focus on chaos node instead of fire node, and it's a question of purple fireball instead of orange fireball. Am I correct?

In that case, try doing this instead:
- Add efficiency gem in your elemental expression
- Add quality on the ring for "Attack type" to increase the leech amount

Hi quick question about Filtering.
Im trying to set my filter up to show weapons and gear applicable to my warrior (so maces and armour ect)
But the filter still shows “Tier’d” weapons and gear that isn’t applicable to that, and I’m unsure how to make it so even the tiered gear gets filtered out to just reveal what I want
does this critical weakness buff apply on the hit that consumes the mark?
if my minion has armour break for phys and physical damage corpse explosions do they break armour?

I got rakatas something worth 19 div that inverts elemental resistance. I can either sell it and soon buy HH or use it. Is there any argument to keeping it or is HH more important? Build is fubgun deadeye

1 div bow and half div quiver. Like 450 dps bow and quiver idk, lots of good stat.
Should I jump straight to the crit bow in fubguns guide or is that bow way more than 10div?

8 div gives 32 percent dps increase even without switching to crit build. Leaving me with 18 div. Unfortunately all crit quivers are dps decreases so ill upgrade rings or neck or something since all my items are 1div or less
So, does anyone know how to properly use the "Trade for these items" functionality in PoB?
- I have a single skill selected in Full DPS
- I click Trade for these items and set my weigths to be 1 for Full DPS and 0 for everything else
- I click on "Weapon", open the url, sort by "Sum"
I would expect the one at the top to be better than the one at the bottom according to pob

Im having trouble scaling chaos bolt with BM since im not really stacking too much life and and pinpoint is cutting my crt bonus by a lot... i was thinking on stacking spirit and using umbral with abbysal lich but idk if that change is good since pob doesnt support any of that... would be lich overall be better for it or abyssal maybe would work with decent spirit? im not very experiencie with poe2 formulas or scalings i simply stacked crt and crt bonus with chaos dmg...

i think my build is overall okay, maybe its the hh carrying it but i dont die often and the clear seems pretty good with the gloom shrine thing

i tested this, there's something weird going on
i've added cracklecreep and the spectral fire bow to my sorceress, respecced to path into self immolation, so i'm doing almost no ignite magnitude and i have no ignite damage bonus
however, the damage does ramp up from a few hundred to a few thousands, but doesn't go further(?)
i suspect i just don't have enough ignite damage to scale it much higher than what the first burst allows
and my self ignite doesn't spread fast enough lol due to no flammability
but there's something there
my self-ignite too, before ramping up it does like 1% flammability before it expires, but if moving to a new pack it'll get to like 30-40%
so it's definitely ramping up
i'd imagine with proper investment this would at worst make you deal 8s worth of ignite as a single ignite, then you can spread it around (meaning there's no need for a single huge hit), and at best have it spread back and forth until it does infinite damage

Well, what I mean is in POE1 there were essentially soft rules tossed around for building, like 'hey if you're on softcore you should have 160-180% life or 260% ES, and "blah blah" amount of EHP, and more generally cuts into damage too much' and those sort of loose rules helped me make my first builds back in the day and I'm not sure if POE2 has any generalizations yet
Anyway, because I get an error when trying to talk in the church of the evoker, I'll ask here. Is unarmed cast on crit invoker anything? Seems like the absurd attack speed + high crit from ES you can achieve on it would set it up to be a fast spammer

Spark Bloodmage with Trampletoe is straight up better than any other boots. Its slower tho so better is relative.
To get 35% movement u need a 3 socket whihc can be expensive depending on how lucky u get
most builds I seen didn't use blackflame
You can anoint the one node at the bottom of the tree that makes you immune to ignite if the majority of your supports are red
They wouldn't be, though. They'll be mostly blue. Could annoint One With Flame for halved ignite magnitude on you

I would be an avatar of fire titan but it's 500 miles from hollow palm the passives on the way aren't conducive to punching, and I would be an invoker but there's no way to get consistent ignites without a weapon to fill up ancestral cry
so I picked the subclass with the passive that lets everything ignite
anyone know for sure if Inspiring Ally counts all %damage which boosts companions, not just specifically companion damage (ie generic minion damage counts too)

Greater Jewellers are cheap, put in a few filler skills and fill them with supports, i have 10 blues among Spear Throw, Spear Stab, and Raise Shield, and 6 reds among Raise Shield and a Bloodhound's Mark i dont use
The concern was not needing jewelers to open support slots.
The concern was not having the attributes to have enough of the off colors, and wanting the blues for their functions.
"Filler skills" is a heck of a word combo. Every build should be using every skill slot for the build, no space left for fillers.
The only character I could see myself having leftover skill slots on is a Darkness monk

Spirit: Wither, naturally, and a 2nd of preference.
Apply: Contagion & Essence drain with buffed duration, Decay, Enfeeble &/or Temporal chain (depending on whether you've built for 2 curses or 3 and preference)
Place: the totem, Blackflame firewall & living bomb.
Attack: blackflame fireball.
So thats 10 or 11.
They are trying to make a game where we use multitude of skills.
They don't want us to end up just applying contagion + decay and spamming essence drain.

A multitude of skills is, id say, 4. EDC is a very very button heavy build

so when you swap, the spirit is freed and the skill is deactivated
The main reason to swap is how expensive it is so you need something like a scepter in one of the weapon sets

ES stacking is better then armor for sure but EV is pretty solid and deadeye does go hybrid ev es for example
basically hitting the softcap for its effectiveness then stacking eshield after
well, for warrior eva is even less of an option that armour
and for deadeye. ghost dance and good nodes like substefuge mask helps a lot for eva/es I guess
(still think ES is better than hybrid tho, just impossible to stack on deadeye)
