im doing armor/ES (strength for life and the node which is 5% of max life converted into ES) whats a good setup between getting some armor/es gear and some pure es gear? should i do extremeties as armor/es since they have naturally lower values and pure ES on body?

use ice nova, check it's radius, use it's visual as base measurement
my guess is, that 10% of the dmg you take would be split up on the 10 minions you have

well then I'd say you are not using a 1 handed right
1 handed weapons specialize in mobility and actions per minute imo
yes you could get triple the damage from a 2hander but you'd get triple the attack speed with a 1hander
in this situation 2 hander is better
since you only need to hit once and let ignite do the rest

0.3 update, it no longer is a chance to ignite, now u have to build it up and when it reaches 100 percent then they burn
from my understanding flammabiltiy builds up and increases ignite chance it doesnt mean they get ignited when that hits 100%
flammability IS your ignite chance. 100% flammable means every hit ignites

Converting in poe2 means the damage only scales with modifiers to its final form. So fire damage modifiers would do nothing, but chaos modifiers will.
Also worth noting that modifiers to ignite or flammability will work for the chaos Ignites
Does Heightened Curse not work with Blashpemy?
It should work unless they patched it
But it has a 140% reservation multiplier so it takes blasphemy from 60 spirit to 84
It will make things very expensive spirit wise
Depending on what curse youre planning to socket there may be alternatives which dont reserve more

Soulless form + atziri's Disdain helmet + heavy buffer notable is 25% damage taken bypasses ES
but eternal life makes it so that dmg that bypasses becomes 0

The real issue is that it's impossible to get that much without dramatically lowering your dps and clear speed, though. Each rarity mod is a prefix or suffix that you're losing
I just followed a random build didnt really look too much into ED/C
rarity is best kept on waystones and tablets

We all want to know the formula but no one has it. All we have is anecdotal evidence about how it works and how much is "too much" (if that even exists)

Not sure if you can get fancy mods like aoe or duration from essences or abyss mods, but other than that, yeah, just cast speed and levels

The Wavesahaper unique allows all mana regeneration increase or decrease to apply to shield regeneration. Would that be nullified if I take the souless form ascendancy perk that removes inherent mana regeneration?
if it was 5 days ago they might have already switched off of it due to them fixing a bug

as the person responsible for getting it patched, I can assure you it was most definitely a bug. all skills with a significant amount of built-in target-agnostic movement have this behaviour where they move a shorter distance the faster your attack speed gets. it's there precisely to mitigate this case where you're just spamming a skill to move faster than running. regardless of your feelings about zooming, I think we can all agree that spamming a damage skill with a little hop in it to move is kinda goofy, awkward gameplay and not something that the game should be incentivising. same reason why we've been very careful to prevent dodge roll spam from being faster than running (though with sprint being in the game we don't have to balance dodge roll distance so tightly anymore0.
whirling slash did have it in 0.2, but that scaling down was unintentionally bypassed by the code additions in 0.3 that allowed it to pathfind around small obstacles.
it's definitely true that I was very keen to get it fixed ASAP though, because every day the bug was present was another day more people would start using it and more people who would be disrupted when we fixed it.
does "remnants have increased effect" have any impact on the new infusions?

ok, I was like I lost tooltip damage when I swapped and then saw crit damage not changing at all
also I def agree it needed a nerf but with the triple charge being a needed requirement to cast, the gameplay loop feels extremely clunky now with having to run cast 3x stand in place and cast twister, also its annoying watching people in move speed boots just running past you now when the whirling slash is part of the requirements of a combo 🙁 can we at least get max scaling on par with endgame boots
is giant's blood even worth it anymore? the 50% decrease in str to health bonus seems like a crazy downside
feel like id be better off with just a nice 1-hander 
cuz i know enemy defenses don't scale nearly as hard as their damage so it seems like after a certain point higher defense outweighs higher DPS, at least for me as a melee warrior

You do, so you get weapon passive points that can be used on one weapon set aka spec into grenades for weapon set 1 then spec for projectile damage for weapon set 2

No it's the same amount of points just used on 2 weapon sets, you get 20 weapon specialization points that can be used differently on each weapon set
Does Riven Armour increase bleed damage? It doesnt seem like it does since it effects "hits". I dont understand why shock would increase bleed but things like riven armor, breaking armor, or the vaulting impact buff do nothing. Seems like jank.
i think i get it now. i could not put up points in all the grenades trees + in all the explosive shot trees at the same time (would be 40 points) that's why i use 20 for grenaded (but no explosive shot) for weapon 1 and 20 for explosive shot (but no grenade) for weapon 2 🤔
You only have 20 weapon passive points, weapon set 1 - 20 points into grenades l
Weapon set 2 - same 20 points but put into explosive shot stuff
It allows you to make on set good with one skill and the other good at another skill

You are most likely scaling a little bit of phys damage when you should only be scaling chaos damage through untyped damage increase or chaos damage increase
So, as a ranger, I was thinking of using a Gemini bow for my clearing weapons and switching to a Voltaxic Rift.

If I start with my Gemini bow and then switch to voltaxic I see myself change but I still fire 3 arrows instead of dropping down to 2. I think some of the damage effects might be swapping?

If your converting damage, only the base damage matters for conversion, any increases to damage don't apply. So any increases to phys don't do anything
Lots of variations of fissure/slam that are doing well. As well as totems or a combo of the two 🤷♂️
Have a buddy running volcanic fissures and totems as a warbringer using the spirits node

I dropped volcanic fissures recently and do way more damage now and clear faster. Fissures care about the VF damage, whereas i can scale EQ AoE, Duration and attack speed at the cost of damage, and just scale the totems damage, as the shockwaves created from jagged ground hit HARD.
I just use forge hammer on bosses for the fissures, it does more than VF anyways.
Clearing is just walk towards mobs, drop 1-2 totems, EQ once, pack dies. Repeat.

would anyone be willing to kind of help me tweak my build. Some T15s I just breeze through, but some I just end up getting about 1/2 way through and then getting one shotted. so, i think recoup is too slow to keep you alive. thos 2 nodes could go into damage or getting the stun threshold max life nodes.
also unforgiving is a decent notable, but you waste 3 points getting to it. i'd drop those 4 points as well
the grim band sapphire would be an easy upgrade for something with life

i would make these changes.
you'd need to drop that break armour noteable, but i would think it'd be more effective to use a specific skill for that anyways (that's what i do) it'd give you more reliable uptime on scavenged plates, and these changes effectively make you stun immune, give more armour and life
also would suggest poking around and finding a way to utilize the weapon swap passives. You can use the same weapon for both sets, and set one up to, just as an example, swap for one skill to specialize in breaking armour, with all the bonuses to that, and then your dps skills you have a bunch of extra points for more damage
yeah, lately I've just been using leap slam for both clear and stun build up. it's about the only "safe" option with hundreds of monsters at a time. I can look at doing those, definitely going to go for the 3% max life node, and I definitely don't need all those +STR nodes specifically any more since i can't use giants blood without another 150 str
i just think relying on stun to build up armor break on bosses/rares is probably slow and dangerous since it means you lose out on the 40% more armour from scavenged plating for much of the fight
it was fine pretty much untill I got my first 4 boss points in atlas. I'd basically throw the hammer, warcry, then either leapslam or rolling slam and they'd be stunned. Now it takes a bit more, and you're probably right

If you're doing an attack build on the north side of the tree I could see it having value
it's multiplicative with the sum of all increases and reductions to spell damage, but that will NOT give you any attack damage, as it is not increased/reduced

yes, all are additive. Increased damage taken is something else though, same as exposure/penetration, etc

The reason for that is Diminishing Returns. Damage modifiers of the same group (e.g. Shock + Wither) are additive with each other. For example having two sources of 80% increased damage causes your 1.000 DPS Skill to deal 1.000*(1+0.8+0.8)=2600 damage instead of 1.000*(1+0.8)*(1+0.8)=3.240. The only exception to this are sources of #% more Damage which are always multiplicative with each other.
all increases on monster side are also additive, but increases on player side and increases on monster side are multiplicative with each other

It will modify the passives within the radius based on the seed (the number) and the name, in this case Tecrod. There might be more specifics on the wiki.
What kind of info do you want? Also, when you say Huntress, are you referring to her ascendancy classes, the Spear weapon type, or builds that people commonly play on the class?

You can check on the passive tree, hold Alt while hovering over the passive and it should show the 3 Liquid Emotions (a Delirium drop) you need for it.
I also wouldn't mind making twisters work but all I read on it is that its borderline useless now

As I said, unfortunately not. My typical approach to levelling a character is just grabbing the skills I want to use as early as possible, but there's certainly way more efficient ways to go about it (especially in cases where the build only takes off after a certain point).
why are guides on maxroll for instance recommend rapid casting 1 instead of rapid casting 2? or blind 1 instead of blind 2?

Be sure to check the stats on them, some of the highest ones have different effects that aren't just pure upgrades.
Like Rapid Casting II is 20% increased cast speed, Rapid Casting III is 10% increased cast speed for each different Spell you've cast in the last 8 seconds.
If you're using a lot of different Spells, III would be better, but otherwise II would be a safer pick.

this is based off of my understanding that 50% chance to defend with 200% + 50% to defend with 200% = 100%, which is additive (and not checking 50% twice)
so "defend with 200% of armour" is actually "100% chance to defend with 200% of armour"
so doubling up is just "200% chance to defend with 200% of armour" which is the same as 100% chance

Hi, I have a specific question about totems and affixes that synergise. I have a couple of specific questions:
- Do affixes that state "Companions deal X inc damage" affect totems? I.e.: are totems companions or not? I know they're supposed to be "Allies", but the lingo gets confusing.
- Are grenades (I'm using mortar cannon) considered an "Attack"? I don't think it is, but wanted to confirm
- Do "Damage with hits" affixes work for grenade/mortar setups, or not really?
I tried looking for concrete info, it's my first time playing the archetype and it's not super straightforward

Yeah basically anything that fights on your side that isn't you is an ally. Party members are also allies

I mean, picking an arbitrary dps number via poeninja is basically going with vibes, but worse.
Poeninja doesn't factor in debuffs, situational buffs, using skills in conjunction, weapon swapping, etc
So unless you only care about holding down one button without any other factors, poeninja isn't going to be reliable for dps numbers
I would say aim to boost your damage in ways you know will work based on your build. Do some napkin math, maybe try using pob2, but so much theorycrafting right now is vibe-based

Yeah it works the same in poe1. You can allocate nodes in a radius around the keystone but not the keystone itself

If I had gain 11% of damage as chaos and gain 15% of damage as fire damage, but I have original sin so it will end up being elemental conversion to chaos will that gain be treated as 26% or will they be multiplicative with each other?

If you have 100 base damage you'd deal 111 chaos and 15 fire. Conversion happens at the same time as "gain as"
So even with original sin it would do fire damage?

Damage only scales with its final form. Ie, if you convert or gain damage as chaos, it scales with chaos modifiers

Which Witch ascendancy is best for miniom build?
Inferanlist if you want the free minion or have some idea of how you want to use Demon Form. Personally I much prefer Lich. Lich has Necromantic Conduit which is disgusting for high spirit minion build. Also you have the option of Mind Over Matter with Lich (Soulless Form + Eternal Life). If you don't want Mind Over Matter, Lich also gets Eldritch Empowerment (sacrifice ES for 30% more damage, self only) or Repture the Soul (33% of corpses go boom for 25% of their max health) + Incessant Cacophany (can apply +1 curse to enemies + curses have infinite duration).
Lich is fun.

Well Lich plays best with Chaos damage, so it's hard to beat EDC. Especially since curses complement Chaos builds best. If you want to avoid all the damage nodes on Lich, you could go Eternal Life + Eldrich Empowerment and mana stack with Mind Over Matter + life stack with Soulless Form. You'd be super chonky this way once geared up for it.
Alternatively consider ditching the minions and playing a Blood Mage. 🙂
The real problem with not liking EDC is that Lich damaging notables mostly do Chaos damage, and I'm not aware of a great way to play a Chaos build without using EDC + curses. You'd want a Chaos build for Lich so you can really squeez the juice out of the whatever damage notable(s) you want there.
What about the blackflame build? Is that suitable for Lich?

Is anyone aware what happens in following scenario: Weapon swap 2 has a totem that is shooting grenades and has 0% increased damage on tree. Weapon swap 1 has 300% increased damage on skill tree and is shooting those grenades so they explode.
Do you benefit from 300% inc damage?
It's really tough to crunch the numbers but there's a decent chance that keeping crit chance around 80% could maximize damage through the use of nodes that increase damage for a time when you deal a non-critical hit.
The tradeoff of this is that + crit damage nodes only help when you crit, so any hits that aren't crits get no benefit from those nodes.

As a Lich you have the option to jump into the Well of Souls and emerge as an Abyssal Lich. To do so, defeat Abyssal bosses until you obtain Kulemak's Invitation. Take that to the Well of Souls and hop in.
If I have the same curse on manual cast and blasphemy, the manual cast will always override the effects of the blasphemy, right?
I just want an aura curse for regular mapping, then drop the big curse against rares and bosses

Abyssal Lich doesn't appear to be minion focused though. It USES mininons, but it mostly does so by consuming them.
Any map, though I believe it has to be one of the holes you jump into. Not sure about that.

Neither. When you convert evasion to armour, that armour is not affected in any way by modifiers to evasion

There's only two real options, if you have some method of freezing or you go electrocute instead of shock, you can get Combat Frenzy aura and get a free frenzy charge every 8ish seconds that way and then use Resonance node to turn that into a power charge, or you take Lingering Illusion and when you dodge roll to i-frame through a boss attack you get a power charge that way but requires you to be actively dodging attacks that would have hit you
Is there anything in game to guarantee a critical, I think inevitable critical or ambush sound like they do but on POB theyre just increased and more modifiers so wont do much unless I have high crit already

what is the difference between them?
that's the thing, a lot of the mechanical functions of the two are kinda similar, they both have kind of a mix of boosts to minions, granting damage to allies (including minions), and sacrificing something for more damage output, and they both have systems that make them more tanky
so basically pick based on vibes and whether you like blue/green or red more lol
