Depends on what you want to do - Lich is most likely CI and Blood Mage is hybrid so they're different defensively and most likely different offensively since BM main attraction for offensive is spell crit and Lich can do whatever. E.g. Lich is best EDC but mostly useless for Blood mage because dots dont crit

The patch has only been out for a day. The best builds might not have been discovered yet and a meta has not established.
Having a look at PoE Ninja and filtering for common minion nodes on the tree shows that most people play as the Infernalist specialization.
Is there a specific minion you are intetested in?

Usually a new arror does not actually add anymore damage because the initial shot of 2 arrows cannot "shotgun" I would still go with more projectiles because some spells abilities can shotgun.
