Since aurabot usually runs with 5 body guards
I think only basic survival should be enough for it. Grim Feast helped last league a lot ^^
Chronomancer is also in the running for aura bot thanks to the slowing debuff and time freeze

I think with current LS meta Pathfinder with it's mobility ascendancies as well as skill points/aliment immune beats Chronomancer, I guess area of pressence size will be main issue

I gotta say, after taking the 50% less movement penalty node and trying incinerate, I don't think I can go back to non-pathfinder. Slow immunity and moving quickly all the time just feels too good

Making it more like original Hammer of the Gods, except they also removed the cooldown from HotG in the same patch and made it work around Glory instead, so not sure why Flameblast didn't get a similar approach if they wanted it to be less spammable.

When I see people play bleed they usually go for one big hit. For maximum bleed. Is the opposite viable where you prioritize very short bleed durations and apply a lot more bleeds with attack speed?

So I’ve been leveling an infernalist for beiras and I didn’t pay attention to the patch notes and well the build is mostly dead now. Wasn’t aware it used a bug. Anyway, I’m looking for a new fun build now with good clear and respectable bossing that ISNT lightning spear. I was thinking to keep my Infernalist around since Beiras still seems decent for mapping so I can at least just farm on it.
Anybody got a good lighting crit witch build? With leveling and endgame
Blood mage kinda builds itself, imo. Insane amount of crit damage. You just gotta solve the life issue. If you go leech and the crit branch it's pretty solid. Or you can go the first crit node and the full life branch. As a hc player I'd vote for the second option, but it means you need to counteract sanguimancy somehow.
Infernalist is also pretty pog. If you take the three reservation nodes and run EB + MoM then you can be permanently on low life and get pain attunement for a huge crit damage bonus. The node that grants mana based on your life is also one of the only remaining ways to stack mana after 0.2. The hardest part is going to be getting enough mana to sustain MoM and your spell costs with EB. In a perfect world you'd also have enough mana to use archmage as well.
Lich can also work, tbh. Probably not as strong in terms of crit, but unholy might is very good for damage in general.
For leveling, orb of storms + spark is still very solid imo. You can also level with generic spell damage nodes (and nearby chaos damage nodes) and level with essence drain + Contagion

I used Chao Lich in last patch( not league) it felt very underwhelming I had plus 9 to Lvls Chao also.. BUT it could of just been the patch making loot feel like poo so..
But the feeling of arc,spark with Orb of storm feels good ATM for me just the DPS isn't there yet obviously I only do 300dps ATM lol

People who say blood mage is bad compared to stormweaver are probably only comparing them in contests that stormweaver wins. Blood mage excels at having lots of life, sustain, and crit.

And normal monsters have a power of 1, rares have a power of 5
It does not turn normals into rares, it turns them into magics for the sake of calculating power*, I think. I believe magic monsters have a power of 2
And I think that value is modified by other things like the monster type

power is just for calculating warcry effects, energy for triggers, etc., it has absolutely nothing to do with drops.

I don't have a guide, but if you search for lighting|spell|crit in the passive tree it should basically light the way for you to path. There's no life on the tree anymore so just go wherever the numbers are biggest and coolest

I will say that the nodes between warrior and druid with conversion of mana cost to life might be helpful if you find yourself with too little mana

Should do ~1.08m chaos ignite dps when wither is stacked to 7 and ignite is aggravated (weapon swap)
Veil of the Night is for bosses, for mapping use Blood Price or Alpha's Howl
For skills ignore Ice Nova and Fireball, those are just crit sources. Probably something else like Ball Lightning is better there. I didn't fill all the support gems

yep yep. Veil of the Night is just a crazy like 60% more DPS so it's worth considering for bosses

spells, get spell crit chance affixes on gear, and consider malice sceptre

buy a better tangletongue, it goes up to 29.4% base crit (vaal). The difference between the best and worst tangletongue is 100% more base crit chance, which is better than what you can get in any other gear slot
If you are running Amazon, stack more accuracy for more crit chance. Often people run Lycosidae

I have an Amazon but I switched to deadeye cuz I heard damage for LS in general is better, and it honestly feels that way. But maybe for tangletongue amazon is better
you get roughly double damage against bosses on deadeye, depends what you are looking for

Caltrops Support specifically, not the spirit gem Trail of Caltrops
The support drops a bunch of caltrops at the point of projectile impact which all also benefit from added flat
Quill Rain might be good if the 40% less attack damage doesnt affect the caltrops

seems like a lot of build around and downside for almost no gain over normal rings

works against everything but bosses can struggle with frenzy charges
so I run spear throw against bosses
GL is more of a freeze trigger
chimera boss is a pain in the ass for beiras 
i cant crit against the pillars so i cant do anything for that

Hello. How does ailment contribution work? Say something is poisoned. And i hit it with 0% poison chance 100 chaos damage after resistances.
you mean how poison works?
if he has poison it’s separate from any other damage.
If the poison is applied only changes in chaos res would influence the damage.
anyone know how reality rending works with fireball? does it roll chance for extra dmg once at the start or every time a proj/firebolt hits

scs is better but takes longer and is more likely to miss due to boss moving
so if boss aint moving super slam is better

Heralds only work with Attacks and require a Martial Weapon to be equipped, so you can't use them with Spells.

It does, but you would need to have a Herald active. This would mean that you need to be using a Martial Weapon instead of a Staff or Wand, which means you're likely to be losing out on a lot of good stats from those.

but for some reason my frenzy generation is quite inconsistent. I tried to fix it by running Cast on Crit for the time being. But in his version he doesnt need it.

I am playing evasion/armor for the first time and no matter what I mostly get one shot almost every map. Doesn't matter how much evasion I stack, even tried acrobatics with 60% evasion rating and still get oneshot all the time

you are severely penalised for relying on low levels of armor

if herald doesnt electrocute then you wont get the frenzy charge
If you have enough dmg/electorcute buildup, after you have max charge it should refresh handidly. To start off you can always manual cast snipers mark on first pack to get going
- The wand is terrible, it's missing +level to chaos spells.
- I still see a scepter in both weapon sets. A wand + focus will give you the most damage for your chaos spells.
- I still see two minion clusters that shouldn't be there. I would recommend having zero minions, personally.
- Your supports are very rough. Chaotic freeze is... Okay on contagion since dark effigy exists. Concentrated effect is maybe the worst possible support you could use on contagion. I would put magnified effect on it and put concentrated effect on dark effigy (replacing Ancestral urgency).
- The phylactery node is a wild choice, imo. Unless you have an insanely good jewel, there's zero chance that node is worth it. I'd respec into the extra curse node, remove whispers of doom, take despair off of blasphemy, and run despair + inspiration + Decaying hex. It will give you another chaos dot to fuel dark effigy and contagion will be able to spread it. Plus it will give you more damage since it won't have blasphemy's outrageous curse magnitude penalty

Yes. You can also increase it with anything that specifies 'increased Freeze Buildup'

for this to work you need to have something in your build that applies exposure. simply allocating that node will not apply exposure on monsters

chill is very easy to apply. if you are doing enough cold damage to freeze monsters then you are guaranteed to apply chill
also monsters standing on chilled ground automatically applies chill
very nice, my frostbolt with scattershot is chilling a lot of the ground so that is good to know
I love the interaction between unleash cold snap and scattershot frostbolt
usually scattershot seems to suck early game, but in this scenario it feels way better

There are no other sources of charm effect in the game that I'm aware of. You can get it up to 55% with Titan which may be enough to round, but usually things of this sort are round down

Hit once very likely should transfer yes. It's a global modifier to everything in the skill
note that this applies before penetration; if you are doing a hit build and exposing with a large magnitude your penetration will become useless
since it caps at 0%

It will do extra damage only if there are enough mobs to hit
which is likely not the case unless it's something very dense, like breach. Spiral Volley seems to be designed to scale mostly with frenzy charges and then hit damage

I would also look at getting "1 rage on hit" corrupt on your martial weapon

Much better! Biggest thing I would say to change is to out magnified effect on contagion, get rid of concentrated effect, and put that curse-specific area support gem in blasphemy in place of magnified effect
At the very least, just remove conc effect from contagion. It's actually purely negative
Contagion doesn't even deal area damage so it's ONLY hurting you

Can someone explain chaotic infusion? So like spire of ire, if you consumer a charge trigger chaotic infusion you gain 2 chaos infusion. I am not sure what that really entails
it's the same extra burst dmg as infuse weapon except converted to chaos
once you have infusion, your projectiles will trigger a chaos explosion at the end of their travel
that explosion will consume 1 infusion
you can have both and the wiki tells me the last amazoness node works but I don't have the spear to test it out

path up towards monk and get % ES, you are already adjacent to it since ranger area is where you acc stack
also make sure you have +life mods on your gear if you don't already
you need max hit, and % life was removed from the tree for unclear reasons. so % ES is the only reasonable way to scale to a big number.

you are trading off max hit then. there is no free lunch
but all armor/jewellery pieces have + max life somewhere, chances are you are not capped on those
@woven depot ok initial testing is promising, but CoC didn’t seem to be going consistently during flicker with 41% crit
you need 100 energy per cast, more if you slot supports for profane ritual. CoC gives 1 per crit base so it needs energy support gems and high crit
I think charged staff shockwave might count independently for crits? (haven't tested but seems like it should work) so you should probably have that up as well

Newer player here. Does anyone know if attack speed increases banner placement time? It feels like skill speed works but can’t tell if attack speed does. Not super familiar with pob which I’m sure would tell me
May be mistaken but I thought it had to do with the tags on the gem, if it says “attack” it’s affected by attack speed, if it says “skill” affected by skill speed. Again could be wrong but that’s how I thought it worked
Oddly enough banner doesn’t have a skill tag but it seems (at least in feel) to be effected by skill speed. Im wearing anvil amulet which reduces skill speed by 10% and not my normal anoint giving a + 10% skill speed resulting in 20% than what I normally have and it feels must slower

I've seen some builds lately that use shield charge with nebuloch to create a mega ignite. Can anyone help me understand that tech? Shield charge damage and stuff comes from the shield, right? How are they generating fire damage?

Nebuloch for crit. Then stack mega cdmg and magnitude. Shield charge got a very high dmg % multiplier. Infernalist have all damage contribute to ignite magnitude, so they stack whatever they can for cdmg, magnitude, damage, and all the multiplicative things happen and yeah

So reading the description for herald of blood, it can basically only do 15% of the enemies HP as damage, if you deal all of your DMG via blood loss? But if you deal 50% of the enemies HP with blood loss, the enemy would explode for 7.5% if it's HP? How does this exactly work?
Not even for 7.5% of its HP, it scales the base phs DMG on HoB by 7.5% of the HP consumed via blood loss (if you did 50% of HP, 15% at 100% HP DMG via blood loss) That is unbelievably horrible
Literally useless basically, especially because it deletes the corpse. Herald of ice is infinitely better
HoI and HoT both scale with attack DMG. HoB doesn't and uses a horrible base DMG.. this should at least make it not required a martial weapon to use, if it's not going to scale with it.. what a shame

Scaling both bleed and poison allows herald of blood to chain explode and clear packs automatically. Rapid Assault is for single target. Ascendancy class can be different, but I'm using Ritualist.

There is a staff and I am not sure what this means: Skills gain 1% of Damage as Chaos Damage per 3 Life Cost. What doe sit mean by gain chaos damage per life cost?
the more life your ability spends the more extra chaos damage it gains
kinda requires you to spend life with skill casts, blood mage, blood magic etc
Gain acts on the base damage of the attack, so instead of doing 500 phys damage you do (if you have 150% gain from a power maxxed infernal cry) 500 phys + 750 fire. Then all the other modifiers like increased, more (eg from close combat) apply. So yes
Infernal cry and temper weapon just gain a % of damage as fire and close combat is a %more attack damage multiplier. They stack multiplicatively.
So if you gain 50% of damage as fire from infernal cry, get 25% more damage from close combat, and deal 100 base attack damage, you'd deal 100 x 1.5 x 1.25 = 187.5 damage
I would caveat this by saving that you may not have % increased fire damage on the tree, and enemies have a base fire resistance, so you will not get that much in practice
It's just a base modifier, the normal rules after base still apply
I will also add that this would not work for a support gem that granted %increased physical damage. But since close combat works on all attack damage, you're good
if I was looking to convert elemental damage to chaos damage, what benefit would using something like Voltaxic Rift Bow which all lightning damage converts to chaos damage compared to using original sin ring which is 100% of elemental damage converted to chaos damage. Would there be any benefit to using both of these items or are they kind of doing the same thing in different slots?

Sounds like its all damage, you could try going to config on POB, see if you can adjust anything related to hazard triggered and how many and see if it increase all damage or just that damage type.
I know like Incision etc, have so you can set amount of em in config.

The passives aren’t free, you still have to use your points to get them. If you still have them selected, you won’t be able to take the from nothing out of the jewel slot. You have to respec and remove those points from your tree first
So you’d have to respec every time you wanted to use the other from nothing

Has anyone run stormwave monk with call of the brotherhood ring to convert to cold damage? I have a high lightning damage roll on my staff and would use charged staff and combat frenzy to help freeze and generate easy charges
there is still a 4-second delay. Capping it to 30 just makes it so you cannot accidentally get too much volatility and die
With instability, it has a 25% chance to give you that volatility back, but it still needs to wait 4 seconds to detonate again
Is the cold sorc better as stormweaver or chrono? Also, do you need snakepit for it to be viable?
for rangers what defensive stats do i focus? like evasion armor or shield
depends on the build and which nodes you're near. Typically people tend to focus on evasion and energy shield, but you'll need a way to restore your ES if you go that route. Ghost dance is a common one

I don't know what you mean by "viable", but cold spell builds can do blood mage, chrono, stormweaver, infernalist, invoker, deadeye, pathfinder, and probably some others.
Chrono is more defensive, stormweaver is probably more damage with the shock nodes
snakepit doesn't seem like a necessity for any of those builds to work

I wouldn't do either of those
I'd go through the acts at your own pace but I wouldn't recommend refarming any areas/bosses
if your gear is feeling meh, give #1328202289755983932 a read and maybe go back for bonus map objectives you missed
The only zone that I think could ever possibly be worth refarming is the azak bog in act 3 since it comes with a built-in rarity buff for clicking on all the effigies

you can definitely do that
but there are only so many good support gems and you can only have one of each, so you still kind of have to pick one skill to be your main damage. use other skills to support it or to have some other utility

thats really good already. all damage shocks is good for bossing if you dont already shock enemies

The ice seems useful too, slowing enemies around him. I have to keep him lv9 so I'm not sure what the survivability will be on T15/16s. Hopefully he can live till I can kill everything

A level 9 minion is going to get deleted instantly by basically any source of damage in a t15/16 map. Especially without +levels or minion life nodes on the tree

Yeah, it consumes all your power charges and does more attacks based on the amount consumed
So the % chance to not consume charges applies at the beginning and all at once? I assumed it checked before each new teleport.
I think it checks whenever it consumes, which would just be one time when you first use it
I’m at 74% chance to not use charges, most of the time I can go a seemingly arbitrary amount of teleports until I run out of nearby stuff and still have 8 charges remaining

Does momentum work on flicker strike? It says "After moving 2 meters during a single use of a supported skill, gain 40% more damage" But it also says in the description that "Teleportation does not count towards the distance travelled". Flicker says that it teleports, but I see people using momentum anyways.
Hey guys. I'm a bit confused how Salvo works with projectile spear attacks. I have it on glacial lance right now, it says "supported skills fire 2 additional projectiles per seal consumed". I have 3 seals total, I use glacial lance, so allegedly that should fire off 7 glacial lances, right? I'm only seeing one, however.

There's not really a tipping point but id say at least 200
you need to have the first charge distance be 2+ meters
you're right that the teleporting doesn't count, but if you charge from far enough back on the windup the boost applies to every hit

ok who understands what supports function inside of Charged Staff? If I add elemental damage boost does it boost only its added damage, or all my damage with attacks while it's active?

it also has the attack tag, and recommends stuff like maim, so i assume for those purposes (and on kill purposes) any attack buffed by the buff will count as "from" Charged Staff

if you where to slot in maim it would only trigger maim with attacks from the buff not your own

hm ok I have learned a helpful piece of info by adding a cooldown to Charged Staff: the cooldown didnt stop me from using charged staff twice in a row, but it prevented any shockwaves until the cooldown was up, then it made 1 shockwave and they went away for another 8 seconds
so some supports are socketable and only have an effect on the shockwaves
