sadly not. i already tried everything with flamblast and i just cant get it to work reliably
they added 15 sec cd to it in 0.2 (it had no cd in 0.1)

Should only scale with minion life and minion ignite magnitude if that's a thing, ignite only scales on the original hit damage and ignite magnitude

Dance with Death gives a multiplicative skill speed bonus though if you are using only a one-handed weapon and nothing else, which I guess is interesting
sounds cool. But i think i'm still better off just vendoring that kinda stuff instead of maxing out my sell tab with this 🙂

are these gloves good enough for fixing mana issues? im playing dd and are doing fine but have sum points spent on fixing mana issues while clearing, dd is also supported by inspiration so i wanna know if these gloves would allow me to take out those points, need a clear answer cause since those are unique ill have to change my equipment to fullfill resistances taking those gloves into account

hey i allready asked this in another dc but maybe someone here allready knows the solution.
armour gives less pdr the bigger the hit
so a given amount of armour will give a different amount of reduction depending on how much damage the phys hit was
and it doesnt double the pdr, but the amount of armour you're defending with
what that means is, if your armour would have given you exactly 50% pdr against a given hit, doubling the armour means it would give you like 65% pdr. then it would be brought down to 50% because the notable adds a cap. in this scenario the node would do nothing.
if your armour would have given you 65% pdr, the node makes it like 75%. then it gets capped down to 50%, so it would be bad.
if your armour would have given you 35% pdr, the node could increase it to something like 50%. then you would get a lot more pdr, so it would be good.
if your armour would have given you 45% pdr, the node could increase to something like 57% pdr. then it would be capped down to 50%, which would still be good.
does that make sense?

your armour "phys reduction" is fluid. More dmg from hit = less armour gives you phys reduction.
again, there is no such thing as 35%, because armour gives a different amount of pdr depending on the size of the hit.

the number you see ingame is just an estimation.
Yes, the percentage shown on the character screen is an estimate around a small physical hit, iirc, it's not really indicative of true Physical Damage Reduction 99% of the time
you need 90TIMES more armour than dmg to REDUCE this dmg by 90%
Tactician feels so much like paper compared to anything i played so far because you dont alot (or any) evasion and you need to stack armor (no real ES).
Compared to the 10000 Energy Shield Cloth wizard buddys that can facetank any boss its hard to compete

no, you have Armor and Phys reduction. 2 separate but connected things. it's just that in PoE2 we don't realy have options for "%phys reduction" right now, that's why we have only armour.....

there are 2!!!! items that gives %phys reduction. this unique, and suffix on STR shield [4-8% phys reduction]..... so...... yea...
does anyone know if orb of storms snapshots the dps, or does it copy it as the stats change
theres also corruption enchant for 4-8% pdr on body armour

Wanted to try smth else and playing Ballista Totem Tactician and there is no way to get that Evasion lvl

You can light stun enemies, yes. Parrying an enemy with a Buckler guarantees it, for instance.

If you get a handful of gravel thrown at you, you should feel nothing while wearing full plate. If someone hits you with a battering ram, that plate ain't doing shit
wondering how stormchain support works. If I have a group of schocked enemies will a supported skill chain between all or stop after 1 chain?

We are in a game where magic/runes and whatnot helps you to build against magical/gravel/battering ram attacks. Game wise it makes no sense that the biggest tanks are Mages in Cloth>Monks/Ranger/Amazones in Leather>>>>>>Warriors/Mercs in Plate
I mean at this point it would make more sense to have "Magic Armor (aka ES)" or "you just dodged"
But always best tanks are mages "I cast Energy shield!" And no one will hurt them or their allies

It's for each unique debuff. Hitting a bunch of enemies with ED doesn't help dark effigy past the first.
What on my weapon affect totems? How can I make them attack fast besides placement speed
If you have an enemy with contagion, ED, poison, decaying hex, and soulrend, that would be 5 projectiles per shot
in fact dark effigy might be usable as a damage skill on an existing EDC build, since I don't really see any distinction in the skill tree between DoT and just chaos damage
Placement speed doesn't affect their attack speed. It affects how soon they use their first attack, but that's it. Totems use their own weapons, but scale with your stats. So if you have attack speed (or totem attack speed) on the tree, that would help

On an ED/C build, boosting the damage of your dots is probably more important

yeah arc changed but I figured out a new way to do this work around and maximize my chaos damage and still get shock chance on the cheep essence drain spell lets fucking go.

Monk area has plenty of ES support, pure EVA does fall apart later in the game
I guess I can think of melee evasion builds as the challenge run builds of the game
if you get fail the evasion roll and get hit by anything thats not super insignificant you die
basically no hit run

well, both have their merits and usecases and that it depends on what your build is already going for, and crossbows are str+dex req so a split of both would be logical
... however most ppl go full evasion -> evasion + es later on
because armour is pretty weak and just life + evasion isn't enough hitpool to cut it
so there's your theoretical answer and practical answer

I guess the Herald of Blood Lacerate dream is dead. Oh well, still works pretty well since Blood Boil causes blood loss. Moved Lacerate to Wind Dancer for now, not sure if there's a better skill to put it on.

In terms of power. I find the nados a lot more fun so wonder how it scales in high endgame. I guess twisters game a better experience in leveling than lightning spear

yes, but only for the hammer
you get bleed support (lacerate) for the hammer + tree for 100% bleed
and it only shows up in weapon sets as you dont need it for normal mapping
so put hammer on the 2nd weapon set

You can do this with literally only white items.
What's needed:
- any spear of any kind and a buckler/shield.
- rake socketed with stomping ground. You can also put martial tempo, brutality, magnified/conc effect, execute, etc...whatever you like.
- when you path, just take str on the tree. skip other nodes for now. str adds to stomping ground damage. It is not scaled by melee on pob but it is scaled by physical and attack damage.
- also take herald of ash.
- rake and animation cancel with parry/block. win first 2 acts easy peasy.
- In act3 you can transition to your actual build (or whatever other op shenanigans)

What exactly increases Skill Speed for Ballista Turrets? It isnt Placement/Attackspeed right? And will what are the "Skills" Totems will only use when you fire a Projectile?

so whatever attack they do is 30% more speed

hi I'm playing a physical crossbow build with mainly Frag shot and Armor pierce rounds, I was wondering if the Thousand cuts Cluster is worth 5 points to opt into?
I thought it might give like maybe a 7% More dps multi on a non-bleed phys build just thanks to incision+Thousand cuts, even without considering the bit of bleed

rn im running the 3 pts Bloodletting cluster instead which is basically just 20% chance for attack to bleed plus 15% aggrev ig
i did some numbers on incision and its probably better with slower hits, the more you hit the more you chance to take the incision effect off - youre never gunna have more than 1-3 stacks so it doesnt seem very worth unless youre using incision support for the bleed magnitude which is probably not worth because bleed is just inherently a very low % of attack dmg
worth exploring if bleed itself gets touched
but as of now i dont think its valuable imo

Contagion question, when reviving a minion from an infected corpse, does the contagion duration continue to tick on the minion or does it become perpetual?
Try and farm one with Haste Aura + either lighting storm or all damage can shock / all hits shock (something like that)

It only supports leap skills too so hard to trigger it

not worth it. they die too often for bleeds BUT if you got the spare spirit, you can use one for either haste or shocks or other helpful utility.
if it's your first character ever in POE2, my personal view is play a build that is beginner friendly, works well with minimal investment initially and less clunky to play. If I was in your shoes, I'd pick Boneshatter / Perfect Strike Smith of Kitava. Alkaizer / cArn_ are good sources for this.

I apologize if it came off as a glib response, but there's really nothing else you can do. Getting more max mana raises the drain, so that doesn't directly help. So unless you want to run a mana flask 24/7 or rely on something like mana remnants, that's the only permanent solution

I keep getting the dumb idea in my head to make a tactician for hcssf. Not sure wtf skill(s) to use those. I really, really like that node that doubles armor and evasion but caps them at 50%
I want to use both Herald of Blood (str/dex) and Blasphemy (int), I'm gonna have a rough time to meet the attribute requirements, right? What's the solution to that? The three nodes in the skill tree that reduce requirements by 4% each? The new runes? Both?
You can possibly use a low level version of one of those
Herald of blood only gains base damage which might not matter too much if you're doing a lot of blood loss
Blasphemy gains area and curse effect as it levels, which is pretty strong imo
But if you want to use high levels of both, you're gonna want attributes on gear and maybe anoint an attribute node

Yeah, definitely gonna want a big area on Blasphemy, I think. The idea is to use Temporal Chains to extend the bleeds, and to make it easier to kite stuff.
Since I'm playing ritualist I guess I could maybe get some nice attributes from my jewellry, since I have that +25% on the ascendancy tree. A Breach Ring with all three attributes and attribute quality would go a long way, probably.

Not sure what you're asking about, specifically. It works as it says on the box. The infusions will explode at the end of the projectiles' flight with 100% of phys converted to that element
It's not as crucial in the campaign, but it's still very good. In endgame, yes, it's basically mandatory.
It's not so much that you're going to get one-shot constantly if you only have, like, 50% res. It's more the fact that getting that extra 25% res is equal to 50% less damage taken of that element. Which is such an absurdly large amount of value for the effort that it takes to get 25% of an ele res that it's insane not to do so. Like, no other defensive measure can come even a fraction as close to that in terms of value
If you're aiming to get more Armour, evasion, or es on a character and forgoing capping your res to do so, you're massively misappropriating your resources, imo

last league i was able to hide behind my minions and do stuff, now the mobs completely ignore them and walk through huge balls of minions to get to me and swarm me. is there any way around this?
was there a unique to swap int req to strenght or smth? as getting the int req for mjölner is a bit tough lol

hello chat, i recently saw rue's video on pathfinder with the reduced ms penalty. And i had the idea to convert incinerate to lightning with blueflame. Now im new to theorizing builds, but converting 100% of fire to lightning means that incinerate would do lightning damage and zero fire damage, but would still create burning ground and would still ignite as though doing whatever dmg the gem specifies correct?
as well as shocking since it now does lightning
The reason i took huntress, is the weakness ascend. Its good!
