Would a magma barrier smith of kitava build feel solid to level?
mace and shield is consistent
I do like consistency.
planning to do a minion tactician build with the ability to play solo, but also supporting my friends (atleast with "watch how i do it")
any good ideas so far?
not even sure if i should go for crossbow, mace, mace and shield or mace and scepter
but I feel like you can plug any build into kitava and still do very well
oh, that's good.
in POB2, what full dps is considered to be "decent" for budget mapping? I know what to aim for in poe1, but i dont have a feel for it in poe2
like, is 50k full dps okay for maps? dogshit? amazing? What about 200k? 10k? 500k?
would this with avatar of fire do 100% fire dam?
Remember that perfect strike doesnt guarantee ignite in 0.2.0
sorry not sure what this means. i thought the 40 % converted to fire, and then 75% converted to fire, would mean a 100% total conversion where basically, all the physical dam turns into fire? or does it work differently?
what he means is that avatar of fire makes you deal no non-fire damage
and it converts 75%
ah interesting
you deal 100 phys damage. Perfect strike changes that to be 40 fire + 60 phys. Avatar converts that 60 phys to 45 fire and 15 null
so you deal a total of 40+45=85
baseline its 60% of dmg stays as phys, but with aof, all that turns into 60% fire +40(base) fire?
since when is conversion sequential lmao
so it'd be 100% total conversion
I asked similar question earlier tody and thats the answer i got
well whoever told you that was cooked im p sure
from multiple people
afaik that's still the case here
trying to make a big daddy avatar of fire build with chernobyl shield and a mace/spear
maybe i drop the shield and just go titans blood and play melee since smith will be unkillable
does anyone know if we can have multiple different spectres out at the same time?
i wonder if i even should go all in on minions on tactician merc or just go 2 companions and then a bunch of persistent buffs for half off
I'm tempted to hoplite armour shield + spear
tactician doesn't actually seem to have that much minion support
unless i'm vastly underestimating the weapon dmg to minions thing
(i probably am)
it sounds really good if you get some fast aspd minions
yo wait
and wield either a 2 handed mace, or a crossbow now i guess (as they are buffing the damage)
what if they let us duel wield 2 handed spears?
I was theory crafting with tactician with like a big 2h or crossbow and raging spirits
but im not sure how to get a lot of raging spirits with such setup
you would just go bow right, to be able to use support abilities easier without reload hassle
sending lightning bolts each hand
was thinking about that too
with on minion death
but that got ruined by the patchnotes
i can only speak for myself, i usually try to aim for 100k average damage and 500k total dps at the very minimum for my endgame builds (lvl 90 and full endgame gear setup)
if a build i make dont reach this i scrap it and rethink
Anyone have any minion builds in mind :P?
What are the odds of MoM recoup lich not getting killed off before the patch drops?
Anyone here cooking bleed amazon?
is these 2 already in poe2db long ago ? wtf
Spears are 1-handed. Cant be dual wielded. Giant's Blood doesnt say Martial Weapons can be wielded in one-hand, it says Martial Weapons have tripled attribute requirements, the upside still only applies to mace/axe/sword
there is one spear that uses 2 hands if POB is to be believed
but might be old info
might have been reworked since it was datamined
could any build run companions, or would u need to have some things that scale minions?
Hey folks, In POE2 path of building, what "full dps" is decent for budget endgame mapping? I have a feel for what i need in POE1, but i have no idea for POE2.
Like, is 10k dps good? Bad? Horrible? Amazing? What about 50k? 200k? 500k?
bro so i can't do concotion pf? that sucks. why make less builds? that reminds me of D4 blizzard
is there any way to find what the damage of a minion is?
would this work?
Really depends on the build. Sometimes the numbers are intended to shotgun or something, but generally if you aren't hitting at least 50K you're going to have a bad time
What skill are we talking about there?
Just in general. Im trying to cook a crossbow kitava smith, im showing 49k dps for a single pulse (its not correct as ill likely have multiple pulses going out at same time, but im reluctant to inflate the dps by increasing pulse values too much).
if i set it to 4, im up to ~196k
So, there is the leveling build for melee, in "any near stun" -> bone shatter or just perfect strice for single target. But are there any good endgame melee builds that dont feel clunky as hell?
u could also run resonance to convert power into endurance, and then with the power charge chest piece, u can get infinite power charges(u also use the ascendancy that makes u get half evasion on chest piece so u dont really lose much
holy shit fubgun is planning the exact build I was gonna play
hell yeah my build making instinct is on point but also oh no it'll be so expensive now
how do i consume them then?
need to both generate and consume to get the infusion
yes i know what resonance does
the issue is to get fire infusion you need explicitly consume endurance charges
cry already eats endurance
yea just use infernal cry like there
yeah so might as well do the shield too
with magma barrier
instead of sacrificing a chest piece you sacrifice buckler
i imagine that would slap with that big fire dam shield
oh shit yeah
i think theres a lot of other tech to get power charges i forgot how they worked or if they even survived nerfs lol
need to see those falling thunder/ flicker strike builds those guys were blasting
that was all combat frenzy -> resonance
i cant really go resonance because i still need frenzy charges as well
yeah
but you can generate them easily
with sniper's mark and parry disengage
i will give everything to make fire huntress work
i want to run a crossbow infusion build
i saw a video where the crossbow, being a 2 hander, could just abuse that 612% attack mod
is this the unleash skill that's being added to Chrono? I found this in pob
We don't know yet, probably not as it references a staff but it might use the same mechanics of being a castable buff
source?
they talked about unleash in one of the trailers for poe2
no
i think it was trailer 3
they said the thing about not wanting skills to have cooldowns
but that unleash will have a cooldown because its situational or whatever
even if you're correct and they reference the skill, we have no way of knowing if it's the same version that's coming tomorrow
pretty sure this is the support gem
yeah, the one in the trailer was the unleash spell that was tied to a staff
but I don't think a spell from a year-old trailer warrants a "we do know, it's 99% this one"
Sounds like you're fine then, definitely good enough to look plausible and take for a real spin then
would perpetual charge work on the infusion skill? it gives you a charge of something, or does that only mean frenzy, power, and endurance charges?
oh wait nvm
but, what if u had the one that made it do extra crit
and consume charges?
would that work?
anyone was able to cook a tactician build? still wondering what auras/skills to use
it should yes
damn that has to be nuts
if u run that and the power charge chest piece
isn't that just ggs?
you would just need something to eat the first powercharge?
then u get the infusions, then the infusions consume charges, then u get more charges from chest piece, then the infusion consumes it, and 35% of the time u just get it for free
yeah
u could then run a 1 button build after you kickstarted the infusion
im cooking something weird with falling thunder + hateforge but im not sure if it works
falling thunder because it needs to be melee to get rage on hit to get hateforge charges
and it needs projectiles to proj the explosinos
Does the community already has enough information to already create good leaguestarters? Just saw Gazzy say its more an "educated guess", because to much changes + to much is not known. Is he correct or not?
yea that sounds cracked lol
but the description says "at end of its flight" and falling thunder proj pierce all, so idk if it works
notreally, we are still missing uniques, supports, and most importantly an unknown amount of adjustments to skill damage numbers
so u would need to be off screen
maybe there will be new skill with spear that works
all i need is melee tag + projectiles
and rn that's literally only falling thunder
oh yea i think a lot of the entry skills? not sure tho
https://pobb.in/n-sZmFspiFSi This is my current version atm.
I am not entirely sure if this is gonna work but, it seems like it would
so, its more a guess. I thinking about starting with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uYZCE31XQ8 level build. But I have zero clue what a good endgame build would look like or even what ascendancy to play.

does anyone know if ballistas count as allies for the tactician buff?
ballistas are totems
totems are allies
tought as much thanks
I'm assuming "a solid plan" reservation doesn't work for minions but does anyone know for sure?
it doesn't cause they are not a buff, but works with srs
Cool I figured i just wanted to be sure before planning around it lol
Technically, they count as allies, but they didn't get the benefit of the buff. I know it's confusing.
Basically, totems are YOU attaching from that location also (but using the built in totem weapon)
So they are an ally, but they didn't get the but because they are you when attaching, and you are not your own ally
Totems use your stats (other than local weapon stuff)
well thats incredbly stupid
Think of totems as sticks in the ground where you project an illusionary copy of yourself to pick up a generic weapon and attack from
anyone knows if specters count as undead minions, and if so, will specter summons (ie monster summon more monsters) count as such?
i mean i get the reasoning, just not why they didnt give them the buff when they are "allies"
@celest blaze Any thoughts on the build i linked? Would be curious to see if you can offer any advice
Sorry not even remotely qualified to talk about xbos, I'm a totem guy
I like the max res and the DPS seems plausible, I'm not seeing any red flags
hey, quick question base on this, is the pin point shot node combo ? like stacking more crit chance ?
ah nvm its wont
well i would quess banners dont work with ballistas either?
or kinda would if you preplace the banner and then the ballista gets your stats right?
Do you think Tactician will be a flop? Does his passives and banners even effect Totems/Turrents?
Something seems fishy about this class
does projectile speed increase dps at all?
one would think so
only if u take that node
projectile speed doesnt mean anything for dps atk speed is what counts
If it helps, corrupting cry was untouched as far as I could see and that's a super cheap build to work with (stack str, done)
is anyone else looking at smith + magma barrier + trampletoe?
projectile speed would make your spell/arrow/etc hit the target faster so it should increase dps, yeah
but I'm basing that off PoE1
i wonder if its worthwhile to get extra melee strike range for Rake skill on amazon, would it be easier to reach the 100% more damage bonus with that i wonder? or do you reach it easily enough without it?
im just thinking out loud here i doubt anyone know that dont have an NDA that prevents them from answering
Here is my semi educated guess:
Spears are gonna be good, so Huntress safe bet (likely Amazon > Ritualist).
Bow good as always, so Deadeye safe bet.
Smith of Kitava gonna be tanky, might lack dmg though.. Still, id consider this pretty safe.
Tactician totems probably gonna have high dmg, but be totems so upto you.
All spellcasters are gonna be Lich, seems pretty good and safe.
Most minion builds are gonna be Lich, so again oretty safe.
Gemling seems reasonably strong for any build as long as you have good passives close by.
Invoker is probably alright, but not amazing.
Thats kind of it, id guess WH, Chonk and Warbringer stays dead, and Stormweaver joins em
Chrono depends on the Unleash skill, but prob also dead ngl
I'm going to do armorbreak warrior into smith hopefully by then there will be guides for decent Smith's
Id assume Smith's can be anything, as the identity is just "tanky"
i think its best to have a vague idea of what you want to do but change things when you see thr nunber changes on skills and supports
Yeah leveling will be armor break and totems most likely but then work on smith
Lucky me not having time on release i guess, can investigate a bit so i dont regret my choices
.?
No idea sry
im just wondering if raising that one bettle that summon 30 drones
if all of them count as undead minion
cause if so dark defilier can be pretty sweet if u get like 2-3 of these
tactican 25% buff to ally can also be pretty good if they dont insta die
30 drones each with 25% weapon dmg
honestly obj should just be to finish campaign and wait for the sweats to have a nuke build in a few days for endgame
My main issue is that i always go off meta, and this time im starting to lean Chronomancer/infernalist for some damn reason.
0.1.0 i started Chonk
how should i build witch now that grim feast is leavin?
smith of kitava needs to have body armor equiped to have the bonues from tree?
does this shoot 2x bolts. and does the bolt speed cross bow increase attack speed?
i am going to leaguestart Amazon with Rake + blood hunt + herald of blood + tame beast
if i get lucky enough to get apron of emiran early enough i will be going with stalker -> critical strike -> penetrate for my ascendancies otherwise stalker is last. for passives, get some melee strike range and most bleed nodes, some spear nodes and accuracy/crit nodes
basically winging it since we dont have skillgem data yet
is the new passive tree posted anywhere?
can you sneak in and grab it for us?
IMPORTANT POST TO READ FOR ANYONE GOING TO PLAY BLEED BUILD
https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1jqu85y/psa_blood_loss_works_differently_than_you/
when is the preload going to be available?
When the update/new league is about to go live, when we patch I suppose
we got any info on temper weapon for smith?
Yea it seems trash you have to do the animation for every time you attack
ok bro go play casino games you only gotta press 1 button there
Turbo clunky imo
is this good or bad
would infusion have a trigger limit? like .25 ms or something? or can you spend charges basically as fast as you can shoot projectiles?
How much the spark in archmage as nerfed?
50% overall estimated without the numbers changes
no trigger tag or cooldown tag, honestly no way of telling at this time
Is there a time tomorrow when the game is released?
with the physical buffs i dont see a reason to do elements
3pm est
this is just not true🤣
it just works differently than how you would think it works if you dont read it thouroughly enough you'd think blood hunt detonates the remaining bleed and use the skill early and not get as big of a payoff as you'd expect. this is because it instead tracks bleed damage already dealt so you wanna use it when you have already dealt a significant portion of bleed
so its important to know how the skill works to utilise it correctly
Anybody thinking this might be worth trying? Bloodmage witch.

https://pathofexile2...
had you watched the interview you would know thats not gona be the final version of the skill
I had not
Well that's good to hear then
too far from any non-spell bleed nodes and damage nodes, if you just wanna apply a minimal bleed that you aggravate to trigger an aggravated ignite then youd also lose out on a staff or a wand with fire damage/spell damage that could give you an equal amount of damage boost if not more
so no, i dont think that works very well
they said its prolly not gona last the whole map, but not like super spammy either
Hopefully
I saw another clip where they get charges every time they do that animstion, but if it's like a buff that has yk some duration like 30 seconds or smth it would be a lot nicer than what I had in mind
You can see in the video the buff stays on the whole time
doesnt hh do the same thing unless it got nerfed too
even with total bleed I feel like I'm baiting myself into playing bleed
bleed doesnt have built in cc i dont see why anyone would go it
unless u can get stuns into the build
ignite seems better with hoa
You actually can lol
bleed and poison were good bc the dmg was so large
Bloodhound mark makes the target gain stun buildup from bleed damage
I don't know the exact numbers of the cashout bleed poke
and then blood herald is only a portion of their life loss from bleed so the bleed has to deal damage so fast that idk why I wouldn't play ignite at that point
and you get to play infernal cry even better and molten shield
ngl at that point why dont u just go pure phys
Why don't you just play unascended basic attack warrior
why pure phys when I can play fire
i am going to give it a try with bleed build and if it feels inadequate at any time i will reroll into either spectres or seismic cry warbringer since you can now increase the aoe of the explosions and its not limited to "in your presence" anymore
what do i intend to detonate you might ask? my own minions
I'm coping and thinking rake bleed magnitude might work but bleed just seems to scale better off magnitude and doing one gigantic phys hit
making a fire planner for fire spear
could corruption hit this?
when i say pure phys i mean crit bonus dmg stacking
wtf is the last 2 mods
What do you guys think the best bow leveling will be now? Still lightning arrow + lightning rod early into gas arrow mid/late? (imo the 6 cloud limit only matters lategame or when trying to oneshot bosses) or maybe with the crossbow buffs crossbow leveling could be an option but I'm not familiar with that.
la + rod might clear till 60
yeah it should be able to hit all mods even if they are fixed mods afaik but you can just search for the item on trade and see
yep it can
I'm kitava so less crit
did you see that rake has a 100% more damage modifier if you leap a certain distance with the skill?
that was part of the plan
on top of its 100% more bleed magnitude
I would just bounce back and forth with whatever skill
but I would lose molten shield for buckler
which might be fine
im curious if increased strike range makes it easier to reach a higher number on that leap distance modifier
idk if shields are same as bucklers for some of these nodes
there is already +2 on the skill and near huntress you can get another +4 from two node clusters
I'm assuming not
maybe dropping warcry nodes for aoe dmg to scale rake and pretty much every spear skill ever
and the weapon swap setup was just for one weapon and that feature didn't get in
sadge
stun nodes seem good for snapshotting bleed if stun setups work
deep wounds seems dubious
and I guess I have to run beetlebite?
easiest solution
unless the new bleed cluster is cool
beetlebite is drop from king in the mist, so only for endgame setup
but yes
if beetlebite didn't come with MS there was no way in hell I would play it
true
there is also a chance some new bleed uniques gets added with the 100 new uniques that are supposedly mid to lategame focused
Got a question in regards to projectile shotgun mechanics. If I shoot three ball lightnings per cast the actual 'balls' only damage once, however, what about their lightning beams? Will all the ball's lightning beams be able to damage the same target?
hopefully one of them might offer another way to aggravate bleed otherwise those boots and herald of blood are the only ways
this is another option for early game
basically no defenses
but guaranteed aggravate
with no conditions
could work well with the panther node from amazon
but for other classes they would need to accept that downside
shields and bucklers should count as the same thing i believe
i cant remember where i heard it from but it was either from the Q&A or from one of the influencer streams
Has anyone tinkered with running a companion focused build yet?
https://discord.com/channels/174993814845521922/1357474380115870009
Could anyone offer any advice/suggestions/etc please?
stupid question: what's the difference between specter and tame beast? couldn't you use raise spectre on any beast you kill, just like tame beast?
Spectre is a minion. Tame beast is a companion. They are not the same. Raised spectre doesnt keep "enchantments" - like, if you find a rare beast with "mana drain aura" and raise it as spectre, its just going to be a "default" beast. But Tame beast preserves modifiers.
holy crap, okay... that's insane
Basically raise spectre only looks at "base body" while tame beast looks at actual modifiers
So I have an idea that I would like an opinion on. I was running a 100% crit trample toe last season. Could that work with new gemling ascendancy that increases the skill crit chance in this one?
Ice crystals can no longer apply on kill effects such as Herald of Ash and Trampletoe's overkill.
does that affect you?
Ah thank you I had missed that in the notes.
do we know anything about heat of the forge from kitava? wanna try it with xbow rapid shot
the only thing almost certain is that it will use '' fire spell skills '' that you socket yourself using your int
but its just a very big '' maybe ''
they mentioned it will use energy mechanic so well kinda like cast on shock
Chaos, Ice or Fire spellcaster most viable post nerfs? Anyone have any thoughts? Or with archmage and mana nerfed are they all trash?
I think I'm just going to do a PoE1 style build with life and armor, see how it goes lol
I'm thinking about what build would be best for bursting down the final boss of Sekhemas, to earn some good money doing carries on my first character. Lightning arrow deadeye was pretty good last league, but I imagine the meta will have shifted?
sunder totem build should be fine after the patch right? at least from what we know so far
if the totem previously indeed usedthe bugg the shockwave now might be similar or better
infusion amazon bow/crossbow
Looks interesting, looks like I need to do some reading on Huntress
Ooh, "Reveal Weaknesses against Rare and Unique enemies, 50% more damage against enemies with an Open Weakness "
Yeah, seems nice
Is gemling any good? Is the +3 skill slots worth?
no but quincy will hear about this one
idk how that man keeps letting you slide you must be sliding him monkey money on the side
when patch says invictus can no longer roll %increased max life....what happens to the one u own?
probably just stays the same
if it just says no longer rolls existing is unchanged
oh damn tahts way better I think
lol thanks
hmm 5 green supports = 30% skill speed?
yea
any super nerds know if it's possible to scale this modifier? My intution tells me its possible since its worded as "base range"
It's not an unarmed skill though sadly
oh sad
inferno cry should work with spear attack skills, right?
Yo does COld Snap combo with Biting Frost? Like, both remove the freeze... will the cold snap remove the freeze and then not allow biting frost to get the effect? Or is it just... amatch made in heaven?
has it set in yet? everyone relaxed or what
Hey all, will this part of the skill tree benefit my witch/ minion build?
Does anybody know if Decaying Hex's DPS component scales with increases to Chaos?
it has to say minion specifically
HotG got a big change
Hammer of the Gods no longer has a Cooldown, but now requires 20 Glory to use. Glory is a resource that gets built up by Heavy Stunning enemies. The amount of Glory gained is based on the Stunned monster's Power. Quality is now +0-0.4 to impact Radius (previously 1% increased cooldown recovery rate).
HOTG is definitely still super good (on mace characters). You may need to invest a bit into stun buildup to make sure you're heavy stunning enough to use it. But it does just as much damage as it did before.
so what do u use to stun before HotG?
i'd guess boneshatter?
does this only work with the support gem? i don't see any other way to activate life leech
gloves, weapon
both can roll leech mods
ah i see
right now the build ive made only has evasion
could evasion plus leech be 2 defensive layers or does leech just make u liable to getting one shot?
Anyone test the interaction with shock and concentration? they seem like they would be multiplicative but not sure
Shock increases the damage monsters take, and concentration (lost) makes me deal more damage to the monster
more = multiplicative
simple as that
yeah but I mean the two affect different parts of the equation, so together they multiply their effects
kinda like how abyssus would be 40% more damage taken basically
concentration is just a more damage multiplier like your supports would be
there isn't any special interaction it has with shock
mm true
Whats the opinion on chronomancer?
how do you think going frenzy spiral/snipe build on amazon bow, but compensating less frenzy (both from not being a deadeye, and from combat frenzy nerf) with 2 to 1 infusions and their extra dmg? (and who knows new support gems might give more easier frenzy)
has anyone seen any builds/leaguestarters for spells?

I also want to see the companion nodes, does anyone have the new tree yet?
i need to learn korean so i can yoink better

How do people get Frenzy Charges quick
combat frenzy getting yeeted off a cliff 0.2
frenzies seemed to be the only one that wasnt clunky pre 0.2
in terms of charge generation
and now.. uhh
yeah seems shit
there has to be something coming with supports for charge generation
we'll see
the combat frenzy nerf is crazy
if not
how?
gain random charge on hitting max rage
it can be any charge tho
yeah you basically sustain allof them
that said, again, amazon infusion can be like 3 per 1 frenzy consumed
so combat frenzy can still work
same build as spiral deadeye ish
but infusion dmg along
The only endurance charge gen on skills is Magma Barrier right?
crit with snipers mark
can work and be good are two different things so we'll see
maybe theres new support gems for easier frenzy
if youre just using the charges every now and then its not an issue
but if its a main part of your dmg then youll prob need to pivot
lets say i generated 3 infusion from 1 frenzy, then i use the "50% to not consume"
it should last until the next frenzy from combat frenzy
unless im very unlucky
then theres also mark
yeah itll have to just be play tested cause 4.5seconds a charge is pretty long
mark might fill in the gap
I wonder if i can make Caltrops into main damage
reminding myself not to try any of munin's crazy ideas this league
the boner cage build was a massive flop
noooooo
Elemental Sundering ground effects seems like it could be a banger
Or even like, Radiant Grief
tbh boner cage was pretty much only held back by the fact that you cant have multiple instances that come from an individual cast of them at once
@atomic halo u still set on warrior ?
like, you could have 3 if you castthem with spell cascade but the next cast erased the previous 3
if the huntress infusion thing doesnt work out
i'll have o league start a day late so will be clear by then
Is that it
smith seems like a pretty good league starter for anything ngl
how does the infusion thing even work I dont get it
get many charge
consume many charge
get many infusion
deal many explosion
deal many damage
break endurance
I only saw the damage conversion so I didnt get it
endurance charges are actually pretty easy to maintain if you are running warbringer or foccusing on armor break
the explosions have 612% de
wow
yeah
That doesnt really work single-target right
Like it works once then you cant get more
hmm idr from my bowbringer what the charge uptime was like on single target cause i wasnt really consuming them
but probably not too good
ugh but I dont wanna go amazon like 30-40% of ppl
correct
but at the same time I dont wanna struggle and be poor and unable to test out my ideas
bowbringer clear was insane but i got sick of dying to a fly
hrm Deadeye is probably crazy good for Wind Serpent's Fury right
Since theyre buffing it to ALWAYS double frenzy effects?
ar/eva still gunna suck nuts unless they made some big changes we havent seen
tbh if you plan on doing anything frenzy charge related theres no reason to play anything but deadeye imo
well the secret is i think ritualist is really cool and i want to play it 👉👈
Its a shame Spear of Solaris looks like it deals dogshit damage
yeah its pulling from a OH i doubt its gunna be hotg level of dmg
OH?
one hand
I'm gonna try Ritualist bleed build
Even the whole beam looks kinda lackluster tbh
where you seeing it
Lich seems the most broken

ngl
damn ziggy got the hookup
he might as well work for ggg atp
Part 1 has the rest of the skills too
Wind Serpent's Fury looks the most interesting to me
Its just too bad its a ton of medium sized hits instead of 1 insanely strong hit
checking out the tame beast thing to see if my tactician companion idea is dumb or nut
Seems pointless to try and theory craft w/o seeing all the gems
Sustained is a gem tag on some skills. It applies to skills that hit many times, and affects how those skills roll critical hits.
oh okay not that interesting
Also WSF apparently can knock back Unique enemies way better than normal skills
Even ignoring the fact it does like a ton of knocking hits
i dont think we've seen a viable poison build from a skill that doesnt have poison baked in unless im mistaken?
correct me if im wrong
Hexblast?
yeah ig but youre mostly just focused on hexblast hit and poison is icing
I think Hexblast has poison variants
RIP Hexblast tho
yeah no blasphemy hexblast is kinda rough
idk what their idea of its identity is supposed to be
Hexblast needs to deal like 10x the damage it does rn to be viable
Fine if you dramaticly slow down monsters
They've essentially given it a 5s cooldown on the low end
No. Too slow to combo and proc
itd be clunky to clear with even if it one shot everything
Oh i didnt realize how many uniques they showed off
We dont have exact stats but some are very distinct like Scold's Bridle
This one looks like Redblade Banner
Apep's Supremacy
does anyone know if companions count as minions or not?
they're panions
or are they completely seperate
like obv theyll count as allies
but dunno how to path if i want to focus on them until the new tree comes out
there are companion nodes totally right close to the crit cluster
as seen in the ziggyd video
No
He just touches on it
grumbles
Like mentioning there's Hazard Re-Arm chance
fingers crossed it still gives infinite power
I really want to know what this quarterstaff is
Any chance there might be more unique charms? They already revealed 2, and they both look extremely bad. Need a way to justify making a Ritualist.
giff new tree ggg pls
onslaught is bad ?
i expect there will be more charms. no promises they will be good.
You have to proc it for it to work. Too unreliable.
that quarter staff is actually an armour mtx which lets you wield another monk
there has to be a way to slow yourself
honestly, have no idea what ggg was thinking when they designed the charm nodes for ritualist.
Hey does this look like Yriel's Fostering to y'all?
Itd make sense since that body armour was companion focused, and now companions are a full mechanic instead of just a weird summon
or maybe some specter will cast a skill that slows and they forgot to make it not affect you then it could be the way to proc it reliably
the admiral
def the admiral
where do u see the 2 new unique charms?
cant find it on patch notes unless im blind
Isnt the Admiral green?
PoEDB provides things come out each league, as well as items, uniques, skills and passives. Path of Exile Wiki editing functions.
Oh no only the undershirt is green, youre probably right
o
the bit at the top is the same as well, same colour and design
ah yeah the ascot is kind of a giveaway
Yriel's Fostering would be a good fit for this update though
bro knows what an ascot is
I like Scooby Doo :(
God i hope this staff is cool and it's not just "gain phys as extra chaos" or some boring shit like that
Give me melee Voltaxic Rift
itll have 4 affixes you can already have on a staff and then one affix for 100% chaos res as stun threshold or something else thats useless
nooooo
Maybe all gain as extra is gained as chaos instead 😳
Ill hope for something cool
But yeah for now i think im set on either Bleed or Wind Serpent's Fury
I wonder how playable the skill is without frenzies
40% AS 400% DE is like, barely average damage right
At level 13 so first level obtainable
wild how dead this channel is vs january
At that level thats actually decent i think?
They barely touched Chayula right
You get 50% more Darkness and thus a slightly larger health buffer, slightly more gained as chaos, and also they buffed Mantra of Destruction
And made the mana leech node better
I expect it would be much busier in here if they actually have is information to plan
I guess thats not braely touched it
am i crazy or wasnt it common practice to give the new tree a day or so before league start in poe1
Chalupa still a meme
I wish i could use Mantra of Destruction with spears
when they made significant changes
That was mostly "we redid this entire section of the tree" stuff right
Rather than the smaller changes
Added new Blind-related clusters.
Added new Volatility-related clusters.
Added new Ranged and Melee-related clusters.
Added new Hazards-related clusters.
Added new Companion-related clusters.
Added new Presence Radius and Aura-related clusters.
Added new Parry-related clusters.
Added new Banner-related clusters.
Added new Bleeding-related clusters.
Added new Thorns-related clusters.
Added a new Quiver-related cluster.
thats a lot
Okay i thought they were mostly adding stats to unstatted clusters (ie the big spear cluster thats nothing but attack speed and attack damage rn)
I feel like I wanna do a decaying hex chronomancer.
Thats still really really bad ngl
And that's not counting "removed half the jewel slots on the tree"
before you get ahead of yourself, it doesnt scale with spell dmg or chaos dmg increases
probably
did they still not fix that bug
i was under the impression it was intentional unless im mistaken and they fixed it, idk
I thought it was a bug
Not scaling with chaos damage is a hard thing to swallow as intentional tbh
spell damage makes sense
ive been playing every other arpg under the sun in the last 2 months
so i havent been paying attention
Do we have datamines
No
no way anyone is running that over +spell and %dmg
Chrono might have some cooks this season
Unleash for free is huge actually
Unleash seems pretty strong yeah
its not free as a support though, depends on how it plays out
its a buff you cast beforehand
Yeah, but it doesnt come with Less Damage
we played EDC you can handle an extra button on a normal hit build
did they post what it is
It was shown before release
Like of the game
Entirel ypossible it's changed but most likely similar
assuming its the same thing as from this staff that we havent seen yet:
Oh, that
Are there any obvious weapons that pair with Ritualist besides probably spear? Feels sorta like a blank slate class like gemling to me
Spear and Bow mainly
i mean even spear isnt necessarily obvious aside from being near proj nodes
Since youre in the pure dex area
in terms of huntress location tho, spears and bows yeah
Man i wanna give chronomancer a go but worried its gonna suck
But quarterstaves and crossbows and eventually swords and daggers will probably also be good
Maces axes and spells will be slightly harder sells
wish phys spells werent garbage cause itd be a cool phys spell caster
i did
probably for the sake of balancing it easier
just bucket all the similar effects into impale
since a lot of the pinnacle one shotting was from barrage bonestorm interaction
Yeah people are really sleeping on how good three rings+ interested ring /ammy effectiveness is
But also like gemling, it will come into it's own with better gear more later
I'm pondering how ice rebalance'll be. I didn't like the whole ice wall way of playing ice.
Honestly, nothing in their ascedency leans towards any specific weapons. Extra ring slot and 25% increased effect are just stat sticks.
What about Cadence Wind Serpent's Fury?
PoEDB provides things come out each league, as well as items, uniques, skills and passives. Path of Exile Wiki editing functions.
based on searching through messages, people are both saying companion counts as a minion and companion doesnt count as a minion with 0 citations lol so idek
DB says its a minion
PoEDB provides things come out each league, as well as items, uniques, skills and passives. Path of Exile Wiki editing functions.
this wording would corroborate that
okay good
i continue on my path to make a scuffed build
Is the 0.2 passive tree available anywhere yet?
thoughts on how lich's eternal life works? Free LL build?
lich int stacking might go hard for minion build in general
This is really interesting with Archmage right?
PoEDB provides things come out each league, as well as items, uniques, skills and passives. Path of Exile Wiki editing functions.
just makes all your lightning into cold id assume
dunno if support order matters there or if it just always checks last
Yeah but thats just it
Basically it only seems to be good with the "x% of d damage bypass ES stat"
Do we know what Hobble is
We know it doesnt work with Life Costs
chaos dmg doesnt bypass es in poe2
If you also cant gain life you could do LL though yeah
oh it doesnt?
I assume that you can't use it do free blood magic
I would be utterly shocked otherwise
Deals double to ES instead
no, just does 2x dmg
you just can't pay the cost, so you can't use the skill
Confirmed in a QnA you cant
Yeah not surprising at all
I was just unaware it had been officially confirmed, but that has seemed rather obvious yeah
CI. Lich is interesting
Seems scary to with he "bypasses es" and 1 life, but I think it's fine
doesnt matter if youre taking eternal life
whats the purpose of eternal life if nothing bypasses ES?
atziris disdain is good for now
but not many other added bypass ES effects atm
in fact i think it might be the only one aside from the other lich node
lol
ah
did they say what manifest weapon and tempered weapon and fire spell on hit do?
they touched on the former 2 in the showcase vid but i dont think they said anything abt fire spell on hit unless i missed it
Send me 10 dollars or more in Super Thanks and I will Answer your question.
This video shows Manifest Weapon (Living Weapon) Path of Exile 2.
Subscriber Goal: 100k.
oh interesting
lol just browing through the other search results, im so sick of "X thing we havent even used yet is the most OP thing ever released in poe!!!" titles
the people who make the actual op builds wake up at noon and have 158 views on their videos
uhh so how does the body crafting work? you get 4 options?
assuming you can spend as many points as you would want
so potentially 7?
8
im just assuming, but idk why it wouldnt function that way
first one is free, so 8
The first point is free
i still need to know if temper weapon is melee only
oh good point
and if fire spell on hit is attack only (which i assume it is)
or how it functions at all
internal cd, if it is a meta skill or not, etc
it would look a little awkward banging on a bow on an anvil though
metal bow
if crossbow works I would love to try like rapid shot and chain
assuming its a duration and not a hit limit
im conflicted. I want to try out Smith, but in my heart I know that Witchunter with spears will be a more sure bet
witchhunter was weird, how does the sorceryward work? You trade armor and eva for a shield?
i think smith looks like a pretty solid league starter, but witch hunter is also a good league starter
sorcery ward is based on 45% of your combined ar/ev
it doesn't trade, its additional
you do get 35% less ar/ev though
from the passive
yea but you lose 35% armor and evasion at the same itme
hmm but squishy to phys still
you could probably get the same max hit with smith +5 max res etc
7.4k is not squishy at all
Anyone else feeling Lich for starter? I not sure if minions or chaos caster will be stronger, but Lich looks simple and strong
phys is always far lower than ele
also even 90% res smith is only like 30k max hit with 3.5kish life
phys being lower just means its harder to get phys mitigation no?
yeah phys is harder to mitigate
doesnt mean the physical damage that monsters deal is less than ele
elemental damage is higher from monsters
its balanced around 75% capped res
75% pure phys migitation is a pipedream
Have no clue what I’m gonna play, every hour my decision changes
Can living weapon be used on non melee weapons like a crossbow ? Anyone know
Ah my b
I hope so, but no one knows
Just imagining a floating cross bow would be so cool
What do you all think will be a reliable way to build endurance charges? I wanted to do a fire jav
Even if it works, hopefully the targeting isn’t dumb
Oh…nice name…
I forgot why I named myself this
Remember that swirling hammer crusader build in diablo 3
I remember a passive or something that said if a skills limit is 1 it becomes 2 or something
gemling?
And Johnathan is just gonna let u do that?
One of the tree nodes is in the patch notes, being changed to 5% of damage bypasses ES
rgr
Get Tantalum Alloy, Molten Symbol, Flowing Metal, 1 more, take the 2 that make fire res apply to all res
Or at least thats what id do
Support Straps probably has a niche too
Overabundance support but that doesnt apply to minions
Pretty sure it was asked on a QnA and you only get 1 like Infernalist Hellhound
this was for companions
and it lets you have two different types of companion I think. Not sure if you can double up on the same one.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of uniques are out there for Spectre
allows you to have the Rhoa and a tamed Beast
chat am i cooking or nah
is there anything that wasnt nerfed
yes plenty
im going Ritualist Tame beast build
i want a Porcupine Crab XD
Bringer of Rain might be cope tbh
Wtf build is that, isn't ritualist only good for rings?
"only good for rings" literally every build in the game uses rings
Ya but how do u scale tame beast damage?
juiced spirit roles on both ammy and my 3 rings yes
dont you guys have rings
i mean you can tame beast with any build
also we are gettin a ton of Companion dmg nodes
by huntress start
you can summon skeleton with any build
whats ur point
lel
yeah but traveling to that node cluster would be far for a lot of other classes
Is minion witch start with all the minion damage nodes not more than the companion damage nodes? Just curious cuz i also wanted to do tamed beast kinda thing as was looking for witch to do it
to be honest i think they nerfed everything just so we can play test new stuff
this is where the companion cluster for +1 companion is going to be
Tame beast is a % spirit cost not a flat for gettin Lord of Horrors isnt a huge help
we will get a 5 Cost reduction by huntress
Ritualist minions would be cracked if we had bone rings
wish we had spirit nodes on tree
i can very easy just swap to tactician for tame beast as well
its just slightly more travel
I see a lot of people talking about doing a spectre build on Smith, idk why, but yeah. In PoE 1 would you run like melee skills with spectres?
tactician closer to the minion stuff and allies AS and regen
id like to bonk with specters if I could
tbf
Spectres do a lot of different shit
Usually minion builds use them as buffbots
Awwwww dang I didn't realize that
But since they auto-revive now, they can be used as buffs for other builds too
if they had poe 1 and poe 2 leauge i would go poe 1
oh okay, so its not like a damage source for the build but mainly for support and buffs
okay cool
Do we know anything about the fire spell on hit skill?
wish poe 2 was in 3D and in UE5 lol
It will be an energy trigger, the cast fire spell on hit
i need to see a good minion uni for 2h for tact
other then
There are spectre damage builds but warrior would never be my choice for it
You could make it work but early game would probably just play slams or something
yeah, def not leveling it
oh okay. but I could probably put together a melee build with support specters.
Yeah
people are going smith because its good defense
im trying to make my own way this time as much as I can
Yep
doesnt matter abt being a "warrior" or whatever
Bonus points if animate weapon is actually good
Anyone who played acolyte, do the flames of chayula respawn? like if you fight in a boss arena and take all the current flames ?
yeah they just spawn periodically around you
They arent like pre-placed in the map
Is this mod real? It doesn't seem to be able to to roll on the Heroic Tragedy jewel.
ty, do you ever get the max 10 stacks on the chaos dmg one?
Ehhh
Its annoying
You can use Mantra of Destruction to make it more tolerable though
Goated skill for Chayula
Without the double duration node its basically impossible without mantra
Even with
Im thinking with the defense nerfs, Embrace darkness and Inner Silence might actually be ok, a level 90 character will have almost 1k darkness, a 5 second reserve isnt great but isnt terrible. Take that + into the breach Lucid dreaming sounds like a good plan
it shows poe1 timeless jewel mods for some reason on poe2db
you can tell by the icon it's for poe1's elegant hubris
RIP, on to the next idea
What was the most successful minion build from 0.1 i just want to poach ideas if anything
infernal zoo?
I think high end was frost mages
Arsonists i think
but arsonists more stable
Campaign with Monk is going to be dog water
Arsonists were early to end game viable. I played them from campaign to t15 maps
Frost mages came online end game (needed high crit/freeze)
Arc mages had a very high gear requirement to be half way decent (needed specific rings)
snipers turned out to be really good clear and bossing with scatter and fork
as you are leveling keep a couple snipers for their gas/explode
Now monk has trash aoe and single target during campaign
alright i have my companion tactician jank mostly planned but will probably also play accuracy stacking spearzon at some point cause spear
i just know ar/eva is going to suck fat nuts again, nothing changed for that so ill probably get frustrated at being a wet paper towel around endgame
Im gonna do Amazon right away, expecting to die a ton
A companion with some defensive mods could be nice
do we know if the animate/manifest weapon from blacksmith is a companion or just a normal minion?
Does anyone know a reliable way to get endurance charges that isn’t a mace skill?
been out of the loop, any good league starters?
We don’t have enough info to know really, safest bet is probably Smith of Kitava
Just for the defenses
I mean there is the old stuff, I've been out of the loop on those as well
Well the patch notes are almost entirely nerfs so
Still a toss up, as we don’t know the base damage changes on gems
This "league" start is pretty much a huge gamble if you land on something good or not. Lily ponders possible starters for the next PoE 2 update. https://www.twitch.tv/ds_lily
image link: https://i.imgur.com/YLQ42MV.png
theres caltrops
they scale with thorns xdd
true!
kinda wanna try some of the spear stuff honestly but I know what gambling on new skills is like
amazon ascendancy seems popular so far, quite a few creators planning for it
you play kitava and you can't die and you can also experience spears
or the infusion pill where you blow up the screen
wanted to do spears on someone other than amazon
deadeye
kitava/deadeye for proj
I need to see the kitava one
because I feel like it's bait
since it costs ascendancy points to craft the body armor
good early, swap it later if you trade for good armour
you take max fire res becomes max ele res and you become immortal
and 2 nodes that contribute to chaos and phys reduction
or you can sample other nodes like temper/spell on hit/summon weapon
yeah it looks like the dediated league starter/budget/SSF ascendency doesn't it
gear sucks? just make your own
and then theres a unique belt thats up to about 5% max fire res
basically you can take low roll cold/light resist and the ascend that gives half your fire res to other ele covers you
What’s the best class for lightning cross bow with the update? Still deadeye?
Yeah I think endgame the armor giving like 15% life 20% str 5% life regen and 25% taken as fire is still competitive
ur gonna go slower but you can't die at all
Especially because you have free suffixes from fire res stack
basically
Hello! Could you please hint me where to look for amazon (spear/bow) and lich starters?
maybe like low end competitive because you still lose out on having an actual ascendancy
Builds are vibes based rn
theres a node that also gives 25% armor applies to fire dmg on hits
You gott pick something and prayj
another layer on the phys to fire
Amazon looks like no-brainer, but god it looks boring. Lich is fun, but could be useless
Lich looks strong but I cba to deal with the downsides as a league starter
Started for lich would be flame wall + fire skulls i assume
Prolly between tactician and smith for me maybe iono
I should have finished painting my Orks but the hype has me
planning on doing crossbows tomorrow, reccomended classes for it
Deadeye uh
I'm kind of new to POE and kind of lost in the update.
As I understand, the new optimal class to build is Merc. Are there any other classes that are expected to be good ? Warrior is getting better ?
does the change to fixed stat changes in the patch notes (ie ghostwrithe chaos innoc) mean that if I run eldritch battery with atziri I won't actually receive bonus mana based on my HP
whats better about Deadeye over gemling or witchhunter
You didnt anyways?
I dont think so at least
Youd always just have ES from Atziri's
+proj
eldritch battery doesn't affect the ES from atziri?
"Overcharge Support no longer causes Supported Skills to have less Shock Duration. It now has "Shocks caused by Supported Skills are reflected back to you"."
Fuckin deranged change, i wonder what they're cooking with this one
@still rock
No, Atziri's happens after in the order of operations afaik
interesting
ive been wondering what theyve been cooking in general for like 4 months but ill still tune in to play for 2-4 weeks
Or rather at the same time
i was planning on going an HP/Mana stack lich with the unholy might scaling + MOM/Eldritch battery but idk now
I guess I'll see
im down to blow early league currency on an atziri for science lol
There's Commiserate but still
And there's Elemental Sundering lol
Could be used to consistently trigger a shock charm as well if it had an effect you wanted but they're so bad
We pray for a good unique
i think we'll have to accept the game is pretty much in alpha stages in terms of build solutions and content and we are going to be testing the interactions whether they were intended or not, but i still have hopes long term
Watch a ton of skills have buffed damage and everything is fine
We don't even have the new skill tree :v
the issue isnt damage
at all
its that the endgame doesnt line up with their stated philosophy and the balance for build variability is very poor
especially with defenses
Wait you know the meta for this league already? What's overpowered?
Hook ya boi up with the info
what did i say about anything being overpowered
they didnt change anything about how defenses work
or how endgame monsters work
You said the build balance is poor, which ascendancies should I avoid this league
anything that doesnt give you defense from ascendancy
thats why so many players are hyping smith
i didnt play deadeye yet tbh im not sure
Flat 30% less taken but only for one hit every few secs
Not getting 1 shot seems to be the big thing tho
basically, the lesson from 0.1 is youre going to be taking es in some form or youll be not enjoying endgame
smith could possibly be fine without es though
Yeah monster speed and player defenses need a solution so bad
either that or ur smith
Good thing grim harvest get ye gone
and then lifebased is playable yeah lol
Might try smith just because its like 20% more currency
but yeah if not smith ur gonna need some form of es, either hybrid or ci, to be tanky
Not having to spend any mats crafting a chest means all that can go into rolling movement speed shoes and weapons
Prolly will be
