does magnitude of chill increases cold damage or just the slowing potency?
oho?
dots maybe viable?
well eh, ok tbh prolly not
but could be a least playable
I sure hope so at least
lol
just the slow
what kinda amulet should I look for if i'm int stacking and using spark? my resists are all sorted and I do for sure need 40 spirit
Chaos dots. Profane ritual does not seem to scale off of anything, but perhaps this will add to that. PR does not scale from chaos, or duration or from the skill tree. Unless that is all a bug. That is the first skill that popped in to my mind. IDK how much this would really add to that. But since it does not scale from teh tree or any other sources. It "could" allow one to put all their points into defences and such. While still boosting this a lot.
+3 spells or projectiles, +12% mana, +attributes (if using morior)
am in fact using morior (attrib + mana)
yeah I was trying to do a chaos damage dot before but no chaos scaling just completely kills it
unluckily
Feel free to checkout https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/b4315f24-644c-4722-b117-520545273aad/builds/20939dd3-bf66-433b-81b1-8235900c5b12 for example search for amulet
do you mind if I dm you some questions regarding my build?
it's an int stacking gemling maining spark
Sure ask ahead
Can also ask in https://discord.com/channels/174993814845521922/1318029466588418059 if u want @gray hull
I still wonder if profane ritual not scaling is a bug, and they just have not looked into it. it basically functions like corrupting cry, which can be scaled.
yeah its weird cuz doesn't profane scale in PoE1?
well eh, tbf it works differently in PoE1
but still a bit annoying
Well decay in POE1 does not scale. and i wonder if that is what they were going for in poe2....but it makes me sad cause I WANT TO USE TEH SKILL SO BAD! I have an entire build built around it, if they ever allow it to scale
sorry was talking about ritual there
but yeah, sucks a ton
are ailments for the context of bitter the standard ele stuff
ignite and poison
my brain thinks ailments and degen spells like contagion the same
i cannot remember profane in poe1, hence teh thought process of it for poe2 acting more like decay. Either way, i hope someone brings more attentino to it. i am EXTREMELY picky about what i play. in poe 1 i just play decoy totem/flamewood ignite elementalist. cause it can go from act 1 to red maps. I was hoping for a similar build in poe2 with profane rituals. Just walk around, slowly, popping the rituals all over. since we do not have decoy totems in poe2
maybe if they add something like zombies counting as corpses
I think my main issue really is that
you could herd zombies around with profane
the uniques we have also dont really skew well to uh
dots
like genuinely
imagine if chaos% modifiers actually scaled dot damage:
like this plus the new gem could go fucko mode
sad to see it doesn't
that would be amazing
maybe one of those "streamers" they gets to talk directly to GGG can be persuaded to "bring it up" to th edevs and see if it was overlooked
I mean its already pretty viable
Derange is...eh?
80% more damage at 1k is good but 1k ES cost lol
In practice idk if itll be any good
esp since you can only use it on one of your DoTs
(which would 100% be Essence Drain)
You need a reason for scaling INT to be good on your other skills
If Archmage works, archmage dark effigy would be interesting if nothing else
Volcanic rupture will be pretty good with cast on ignite and solar orb
who understands is it good?
which of these is better for ice strike monk
i'm following the maxroll guide if that's relevant
first is 703 dps, second is 986
wow ok
i've been weapon swapping to try them out but i can't like tell any difference except my mana gets destroyed with the attack speed one
so even with that factored in (and the higher wed roll on left) right beats easily
also the dps tooltip should be accurate here
nothing it can't understand with these
what does it say
oh i was told not to trust that thing
oh wait
i think i made a slight mistake in the dps calc
i forgot to divide both by 2 but it doesnt matter
as they are equally affected
i think it's fine for this situation
so if this is accurate i guess second then and i just need to find more mana
yeah
Hey, is there a way to get the numlock trick or something similar to work for multiple abilities?
Want to have 2 or 3 elemental invocations running nonstop, but don't see an obvious way
This is melee only, and it will scale amazingly with attack speed. We might see the d2 zealot pally
We'll need to see the volcanic eruption skill though
If it's also DoT or rate limited in some other way, attack speed won't benefit it
Yep agreed, but i dont see a damage over time tag on the gem itself, so i am assuming it is instant damage. The animation looks like 4 or 5 little fireballs popping out of the ground
I was just saying that non instant skills in a one shot game are automatically non meta
Waiting for dots or comet animations gets you killed
Also, mana regen is not meta for MoM
It's expensive training wheels. Im doing very well on my homebrew with only 150 mana regen
We have a full mana instant flask for bossing, and mana on kill% for density
If you have high mana regen, you probably gave up about 10% of your potential dmg (best estimate)
Very true. I sincerely hope that this is solved by making it not a one-shot game though
I hope so too 🙏
Referring to my thing of invocated efficiency?
The passive that makes your mana pool into your effective life pool, and you take dmg from mana
is there a way to heal massivly using the fire zombies? I wanna heal myself or my zombies a lot
I feel like this node makes it work without any other regen needed
Yeah, there are builds that still need regen, i just mean its not meta as a survivability feature
I want to keep fire damage using the fireflower amulet but then heal the fireflowers damage
Basically guaranteed to have a cooldown
Of course then you can just Temporalis it
not really planning but i just finished my witch hunter auto bomber
just need more crit chance
For stormweaver, if spark gets nerfed, which it probably will... cold/fire archmage will be the meta for that class. There is a lot of double and quad dipping
This is my homebrew with no chase items (ingenuity chase item?), and no unique jewels. T15 with i think 80% juice
i think ingen is common enough now
Just came online when i dumped all of the fake dmg nodes and went crit build
It probably has more potential bc im new and im sure im missing stuff
cause idk where ill be getting all thise atts
isn't AM potentially on the menu for nerf bat too though
"double and quad dipping"?
damn whole manifesto incoming'
Archmage gives extra lightning dmg. Thats a double dip on cold dmg for example, bc increasing your cold dmg% stat will increase your lightning dmg output, and both cold and lightning dmg scaling is increasing your dmg. Now think about a stat like elemental dmg %. That is increasing your lightning and cold dmg simultaneously, and then it gets scaled again with archmage. My phrasing might be off, but im calling elemental dmg%, spell dmg%, projectile/aoe dmg%, "increased damage%, "damage %", and cast speed (fake dmg), are quad dips
no
thats just not how it works
lol
all conversion applies prior to inc/red/more/less modifiers
How do you mean?
nothing double triple or quadruple dips
Youre saying increasing cold dmg doesnt increase my lightning dmg output? It does
Even shows on tooltip
it increases the portion of the damage that ends the conversion as cold
not the portion of the damage that ends the conversion as lightning
if all your cold is converted away from cold inc. cold damage will do nothing
you dont suddenly get 4x value from all sources of inc. damage
I get the problem with me calling it dips, but it is mathing just fine. I have 15M dps unoptimized budget mode. Something is working XD
sure but you entire paragraph here is completely incorrect
inc. damage multipliers are calculated once
they are applied once
there is no chance for any double dip with any conversion or gain as extra
Yeah, ele dmg stat is the best non crit related dmg stat for me
because it applies to all your damage
once
lightning/cold/fire depending on your conversion and gain as extra would only apply to part of your damage
Its just phrasing, we are on the same page about the math i think
I krangled the words, but the math maths
sure, but how is it better than just like
dealing all cold damage and having inc. cold
whatever you're doing isn't inherently broken or anything
Bc elemental dmg and those other stats i listed are increasing dps more than cold dmg
They are double "boosting" lmao
double compared to half
so just 1x
its the same as inc. cold on a build that deals all cold damage
you just split your damage so now you need to get inc. ele to get the base scaling that single-type builds get by default
Yes but elemental dmg % doesnt boost just cold, it boosts lightning too, for example
Better than cold dmg %
And it takes one stat slot to do both
okay but do you get my point that that isn't actually any better than just dealing a single element
at least conceptually speaking
Well, i mean, i have been testing it
did some testing and even on witch hunter autobomber can one shot t4 xesht with a full party
I tested it a lot
Any suggestions? I'm already planning to swap out the three dragons mask, just need something else with 8 max power charges
Gimme a sec to look at those uniques so I can how your build works and I can throw some suggestions
So I’m assuming crit dmg powe charge build?
It's an elemental expression build yeah, featuring that
But using all 3 charges to benefit from charge infusion while I'm at it
I'm also running 2 elemental invocations atm
Why not cast on crit instead of the two elemental invocations?
Also I like the idea ngl very new and refreshing
Haven’t seen someone do it
Mostly because I'm attempting to use invocated efficiency for mana sustain
And yeah, I'm doing it largely for the novelty as well lol
Valid
Not sure what I should put in the other one though- Eye of winter?
I have comets right now, but that's like, completely unsustainable
Ye eye is always good with crit builds
So what’s your crit and crit def at?
Valid comets would do a lot of dmg tho
So is your damage based on your invocations?
Or is it your actually abilities like tempest
Damage is coming from elemental expression
And a weird amount is also coming from charged staff and tempest flurry, because the game isn't balanced
I'm largely leveraging this here to get massive levels on my expression & invocations
Crit damage out of combat is 320% (220% bonus), crit chance for my weapon attacks is 71%, and the expressions are 24, 31 & 41% for fire, lightning and cold respectively.
Tree looks like this atm, with careful assassin and invocated efficiency off screen
What I was gonna ask next ok
The time-lost are each giving me rage on hit from notables and 2% elemental damage on small nodes
I socketed ele damage soul cores instead of the phys iron runes on my Xbow.
First soul core saw a decent DPS jump on my Galv and Shockburst round with the second one only being a few hundred increase. Was it better to keep one of each.
Still trying to work out how elemental damage to attacks is calculated lol
so like just get every atts in ring and amulet
and ure good to go?
will do thank you
And aside from the uniques, this is the only item I've really spent on for this, and probably won't change
I was using a serpent's egg amulet, but +3 spell/projectile levels is too much damage to pass up I think
Only thing I can suggest is getting elemental increase in the ascendency tree and the triggered skills dmg buff ascendencies and I’m looking into rings and amulets to see if anything can help with your build
Valid
Yeah- I'm thinking just mana? There's also this thing if I can sustain it
So high base physical is always good because your skills wil convert a percentage of that dmg to the element, but it is technically better to do elemental dmg cause I’m assuming that is your main dmg it’ll take calculations but gimme a minute
Wi-Fi is tweaking and can’t use laptop rn
Mana definitely yes
There is passive tree points that will lower the cost of skills
I suggest that highly
And allocating a mana regen into your amulet
Breach rings with % increase msg and mana regeneration
Dmg*
Ye just need more mana fr
Truly yeah
I'm starting to fear that the only real way to scale damage beyond this point is to just make it an archmage build
just curious is the dps estimation there is accurate?
Toss out these guys, take EB and MoM
I think I should also anoint conservative casting?
Man this looks cool though
Lmaoo that is sick
Try Poe 2 community builder it is complicated but pretty precise
is there a way to get minions to heal themselves or me with their attacks?
maybe an amulet?
Id have to look but if they do physical dmg there might be passive tree thins that gives minions leech or items
Lemme see tho
The phrasing i was looking for earlier was "greater relative value per investment", not necessarily "double dipping" 😄
I’m sorry what’s be n mom I can’t think of it lmaooo
Eb*
Oh ye
Prec
Thought he was talking about supports gem since he had sent that phot Lmaoo
I mean spirit
Ah, yeah nah
Those passives would go along with archmage
Only reason I'm hesitant to go that route is that it makes the endurance charges from charge infusion feel somewhat wasted
Hmm true
I'm also unsure as to what support gems I should use on expression.
Can't do elemental discharge or focus, nor can I use controlled destruction.
Ss what you can use I forgot
Thanks G. When is the elemental damage added in the calcs? Is it after all the damage is calculated etc. just trying to work it out for future builds and characters
Inspiration is obvious of course, and some math will let me determine if ingenuity is warranted
So ice strike does 60% of physical as cold damage so on hit
Oh I meant support gems but I’ll look on maxroll since your on phone
It depends on the skill honestly and what it says
But most will do it at the same time or or after
These are the recommended ones
Can't use the bottom row because I need the ailments for the elemental invocations
Can't use controlled destruction because it's crit
I do have the one that increases damage for every different element you've used recently- This activates that fully on its own
Rising Tempest
But aside from that, all I can think of is stacking cold, fire & lightning mastery for 3 more levels
Concentrated affect for more damage, wildshard for aoe, rage forged since you’re getting rage from your boots but it’s also using the rage n you’re not keeping it so js a msg boost for you just make sure this doesn’t affect your build negatively
the conversion?
for conversion, it applies after all your base damage is added up
so after the local mods on your crossbow are calculated and added with other flat sources like on rings
Getting rage from my jewels, eating it with my gloves
Just quick suggestions that I saw could be good I could prob find better ones
then that phys is converted to other elements, then modifiers like increased/more/less/reduced will apply
Rageforged takes some for more dmg
Yeah exactly
As long as you can still stack it and get the charges it’ll be fine
And I can't really afford to lose any
This is activating like 4-5 times a second as well
So uh
That’s why said check that one can be bad
Yeah, I appreciate the thought
I see you do cast alot
Just already did the math on that one
https://medal.tv/games/path-of-exile-2/clips/jL26Qhi2GZ1qIptJH?invite=cr-MSx3VWgsMTI2MTY3NjYyLA autobomber witch hunter works
Watch witch hunter t4 xesht full party instakill and millions of other Path of Exile 2 videos captured using Medal.
This would be easer if my laptop would work and connect to the Wi-Fi then I’d be able to see it better

@civic tide https://youtu.be/MvwmmjVIes0?si=CtpaTXwMFb8Z0THa
Damage, conversion, modifiers, and critical strikes all play into a skill's displayed damage in path of exile 2, but the game doesn't explain how these modifiers stack. In this video we go through each of the mechanics and how they interact with one another to get a better understanding of damage overall

Dis...
He gos through all damage but you scim through and find where he talks about elemental specifically he breaks it down better then I could
apprieciate it fam
Yezzir
So I took a chest price off just to check another one and I have all the requirements to put it back on but is just highlighted in red now and I can’t put it back on????
watch your stats
you can respec into points to re-equip it if that equip had a stat you needed to even wear it
so like 27 strength on a equip self supporting the gear to be able to be worn
my current helm was sustaining itself with a little int boost
anyone know a good monk build to do at lvl 65? i'm currently running tempest flurry bell for bossing and gathering storm for map clear, is there anything better or something I should go into?
Is this hard to do?
I pushed AoE scaling as far as I could on a lower budget for a League End project. Here’s how PoE 2 Spells/Attacks feel with massive area coverage.

Can we still put a notable passive on a corrupt amulet?
anyone wth a fully functional tempest flurry build?
doubt it
I haven't tried but corruption is pretty strict
absolutely no tampering
does anyone have sorce spark plan???
a plan?
yeah
Do bows count as two-handed weapons? Will "increased damage with two handed weapons" work with them?
Yes
worth opting to spell crit if ur not blood mage?
question around lv 60
not much above
Sure
cuz rn with hexblast im smashing around 5k per hit
and its pretty reliable
but wondering if maxing out crit as acolyte is worth the hassle
Lighting boost or to attack boost?
Just to be clear, reduced recovery rate (such as from MoM) will make recover effects restore the same amount over 16 seconds instead of 8, right?
Or does it just halve the amount recovered?
What u need
For what?
I'm a ice monk using crit/ stackijg I just changed over from crit. Wanted to know if I should use the caterlist for attacks instead of the lighting modify
U stat stacking?
Yeah, well trying too haha
Ok well the cold and lighting is good just need str dex int on it
Would be perfect haha, just wantrd to know if I should change the modify on top to the attack one or keep the lighting one?
Best rings attack damage phy cold lighting or fire 3 stack then 3 stack stats
Yepppp
I'd sell that before i rolled it personally
Well the 200k DPS boost is helping xD and I bought it for 1div
Snap crackle
Dm me your passive tree if u don't mind
Mustn't forget pop
whats better community planners builds or the build guides on maxroll.gg?
Builds and guides are kinda all over the places
Some are super old, written before the game was even released
Others are very entry level and don't provide enough information to actually scale into the endgame
Try to go over as many as you can and check Mobalytics too, perhaps you'll find a decent one
ah okay
uh okay
im currently running falling thunder invoker
um on mobalyticsi is there a way to see where my passive points should go for each level?
Doesn't tell u by level I believe
dang
I wouldn't stress it too much, campaign is perfect time to experiment and learn, you don't really need a perfect min/max setup to progress
Also often gear can be more impactful than the passive tree
question how much does a level 20 uncut skill gem go for? like i'm seeing insanely low prices but no one ever responds so I figure it's not the real value
mana issues, my mana dies so fast man
anyone knows whats the base chance for mobs to crit u?
base i mean without any mods that increase it
Around 100 exalt
how far in monk gear would 3 divs get me?
oof just payed a div
any builds that do not require weapon swapping in the end game?
If I socket ignition support gem to a skill that doesn't have fire damage, however my weapon has "adds # fire damage" mod, will it still work?
yes
Ok so 100% ignition will occur only when using that skill even though the skill doesn't have fire damage
Good to know
They are a div
Not 100 ex
Level 20’s are the hardest and most costly to get
You payed the right price
Almost every build uses only one weapon
Only builds that use skills outside of the class use 2 weapons
So like a bow class uses a wand because there is a specific ability that boost their dmg by a lot
I forgot what it is
But builds like spell casters, monks, warrior, and most other classes only use one weapon
Not at my computer atm so I can't check, can you shock enemies (for the purposes of meta gem energy) while they're standing on shocked ground?
Yes
Wait
So
You can get a passive tree node
That allows you to reshock enemies
That will let you consume a shock then shock again but so far I only know it can happen one time so d you’re trying to loop it prob won’t work unless it’s a big mob
But ye you can
For crossbow is it better do 20 percent physical damage or 12 percent crit damage if you are going for a crit build?
Like it seems like crit should be better but is 12 better than 20 somehow in this case?
late but unanswered; this is technically correct for all the wrong reasons. 😄 Your follow-up question is more accurate.
"Mana recovery rate" has nothing to do with the amount recovered, but how long it takes you to recover that amount. Recovering 1000 mana over 8 seconds (125 mana/second) as a baseline, with MoM you'd recover 1000 mana over 16 seconds instead (62.5 mana per second).
What's interesting is that this applies to recovery applied from flasks, too, wherein recovery rate/instant effect mods become exponentially more valuable the more mana you have in tandem with MOM.
I see where you're coming from using the amount of mana you have as a baseline to determine how much you'd recover, but that's not a good vacuum statement because other recovery modifiers exist in tandem with MOM's.
Anyone know what I might be missing if my Invoker built shows 100% higher crit bonus in PoB than it does in game? I am 99% sure I have everything set correct
wait...it looks like PoB defaults to saying 200% but I think in game it defaults to 100
PoB has some "quirks," but if you confirm PoB should be calculating the build correctly, the first thing I'd check is to make sure one of your stats isn't slipping beneath a gem threshold during a weapon/passive switch, especially in your meta gems where it's not as noticeable if a slotted gem greys itself out.
second things I'd check are weapon base crit chance/weapon-set passives that modify crit chance possibly being set to the wrong weapon set if an attack build.
Its the same here. PoB shows 719% while the game shows +619%. I assume it is because PoB includes the "default" 100% multiplier, while the game shows only what is added on top of that.
My PoB "buffed" DPS matches the game tooltip closely (difference of 0.6% - 191450 vs 190285) so everything is set correctly.
Crit is just broken
Crit buffs dmg by so much compared to other stats if we’re talking about the skill tree specifically
Yeah after playing around with it for a bit, I think this is the correct answer.
If I buy one of those fancy 5 socket body armours, is it easy to get max res with it?
if i use a skill that creates shock ground and put a lightning exposure gem on it, are mobs shocked by the shock ground still gonna receive exposure even tho they took no dmg or got hit from the skill?
Depends what mods you get on the armor and what runes/cores you socket - for example I run 0% resists on my morior which makes it challenging to fix resists
doesn't look like i even come close to affording a morior anyways...lmao
this is a bit of a reach but can you do silly things with any of these 2 and ele conflux
or does conflux just track whatever the damage is and won't care about pre-convert
Try grand spectrum sapphires, you can socket 3 of them in your passive tree and they give 3%-5% all res over you total resistances instead of just adding to them.
My current gems play a big role in my current build tho :/
Tight builds require sacrifices
maybe I will figure that out in a few hundred more hours of PoB
Dm me your build and I can take a look, if you want
Yeah sure, I just spent like an hour earlier fucking with it, got my DPS and ES up, just sacrificed some EV
W?
Needs 3 sockets, can sell like this to gamblers or gamble urself
Hey I'm playing a ranger poison build and I've gotten to cruel and the damage has started to get pretty underwhelming is there any way for me to increase my damage ?
Looking for ways to increase my rarity
What class or build ?
Mercenary gemiling
Using tempest flurry build ?
No just crossbow with electric passive
Are you using the electric support gems ? Like lightning infusion ?
Yeah Iam on herald of ice I use thunder & herald of thunder I use ice gems....
The only explanation i can think of is either you got something wrong with the gems or it's a dps issue
Path of Exile 2 Guides, News, Builds, Tier Lists, Campaign Walkthrough, Classes, Crafting, Trade, Tools, major changes & more on Maxroll.gg.
This build is similar to what you're talking about
See if you can figure out what you may be doing wrong
Ok I'm check this link out thanks 👍🏿
i need help why my leap slem doesnt stun enemies so i can boneshatter them
hi, i'm leveling a infernalist and would like to do some pob2 calcs for it, but i can find the way to count demon form as on, does anyone knows how to do it?
Have you looked in config?
I am running an electro shock Witchhunter Merc. I've got a couple of decent Xbows if you need something to help with your build. My build it's fairly endgame now with a couple div worth of gear but definitely can help with a starter build to get you going.
It only cares about post-convert
Painter's Servant cuts the buff in 3 to give you it permanently though which is somewhat interesting
I still think theres some embitter conflux sauce
dualspec fire shock with embitter on a skill
maybe hoi but that would mean going melee
Maybe pain attunement & blood magic/pyromantic pact? Would have to test how that works
Yeah that'll be cool when are you online?
not really and how am I out of luck? and who is candlemass
boss in act 1 normal and cruel
in geonor's mansion
he gives you permanent life buffs when you kill him and use the quest unique
What bloon said- Looks kind of like the Balrog from LotR, has candles all over its back?
Actually, does anyone know? I'd assume it doesn't work
no its a whole weapon slot
you cant justify losing an entire weapon slot for that effect
even if you build entirely around it
Probably true
Hey speaking of builds likely doomed to that exact fate, I have one here I've been messing with
It's a Collapsing Horizon Elemental Expression build
I suspect he's doing something much more sensible
I'm kind of committing to making Elemental Expression work though
he did elemental expression as well
Presumably a bunch of elemental invocations acting as mana batteries with invocated efficiency?
oh, huh
with flicker and a cast on crit setup with comet
unsurprisingly, mana was a big issue
he was taking advantage of some weird bug with collapsing horizon and levels i think
Yeah, not that weird
The +levels to all elemental is secretly just three +levels to one element in a trench coat
So Elemental invocation and Elemental Expression (And avatar & conflux, but those are bad/uncontrollable) get +15 levels, or 3 times whatever the number on your staff is
Just looked it up, looks like it's really just a vehicle for comets
I'm doing something a bit more cursed, with charge infusion, powertread boots & hateforged mitts
I've been trying mind over matter on and off
Sorry I don't have it all set up in PoB at the moment, since I've kind of been shuffling the parts around
@atomic halo Thank you, this has inspired me to try something new
Yeah, the comets feel way better, and invocated efficiency with ember fusilade solves mana completely
can anyone recommend me a fun build to play? preferably nice and tanky, great clear speed, and decent single target as well? Current build is whisperer kb of fragmentation and i am not enjoying it at all
Got a budget?
What kind of dps should I aim for before I start to focus on my survivability as a stat stack gemling?
Im currently hitting this with base buffs. and ~ 260k with aura support
ive got ~3.2k hp and a bit of ES but not much. I dont really die but I can in 1-2 hits if I dont freeze / destroy the screen instantly or I get volatile plant memes on me. so I smash most 15 and 16's, but I want to try more pinnacle bosses
Perk tree and skills/gem issue probly
Im a gemling. and ive spent like 7 div. Im assuming you have spent a lot more also 6 levels lower
yeah lets not talk about it
What catalyst do I use to increase all res on rings
but t16's are so easy. as are d4 bossess, we need harder content
res all cant be upped
yeah I can drop the 3 ele res on right ring and get 3 stack stats if I find one I can afford
left is giving me a lot through ingenuity
I also diddnt 20 my caged god because I was a noob at the time.
I'm running ice and thunder herald for more freeze atm
and thinking of getting volanic for fire dmg for shock
but shapghetti bolagnaise is best annoint
Yeah pretty much but I use fire damage on ring to prox immolate on bell
wrong channel mb
how do i add nodes to a certain weapon stat with pob2?
chat i think i have the stupidest idea
bonestorm cast on crit bonestorm
use the regular bonestorm for damage and use the consumes broken armour and use the trigger bonestorm to break armour
I'm pretty sure any elemental catalyst works
Is there anyone here went for monk build? I wanna donate my stuff
will quality mods on an amulet affect instilled allocations or is that a pipe dream I just had? 😄
Quality doesn't affect annoints
They arent even related
I'm getting suspicious cast time even does anything for blink. Can anyone with temporalis confirm?
yo, I'm playing pure phys snipe/spiral volley deadeye and have flat phys dmg on rings. I recently took off all %phys nodes for a lot more survivability. Would it be better to get flat lightning dmg on rings isntead since it has a higher pool? Not running howa
Is cast time useful?
Because otherwise I want to look for +# levels to all skills instead on my blink offhand wand
I would get flat lightning for the shock too. Having enemy shocked vs no shock is literally 20% more damage
Downside is that heft doesn't work with added lightning
And once you are shocking you have a new dimension to scale with: shock magnitude
is it gonna be enough for shocking bosses tho? I'm using a tech for snipe with lightning infusion so first hit shocks and the rest do a lot more dmg. When mapping spiral volley one shots most enemies so idk if it'd be useful even if it shock.
yeah I'm already getting that for my snipe weapon set
Ohh
with barrage and frenzy charges snipe can shoot up to 18 projectiles simultaneously
Do you run tailwind survivability node?
yeah
There's an option for the mark to cap 100% shock too, but I hear you kill everything
Remember to instill your good maps then if dmg is no issue
yeah try I've been running some meh maps
if I get flat lightning dmg you think it'll be enough to shock white mobs instantly?
I play without trading so I know everything about meh maps ;)
I am using ingenuity so it'll be quite a lot
Yeah even 1 good mod of flat lightning makes big difference
aight I'll try that ty
oh true
Do you use something special for bosses like curses?
nah don't have enough gem slots
snipe scaling is so big with lightning infusion I insta shock them
now that I think about it
What you use spirit for?
I have around 300% efficiency to quiver bonuses
if I put flat lightning there too I'll be booming
wind dancer, grim feast, cast on crit and herald of ash
might swap to hot
oh combat frenzy too
Do you cast sniper's mark from the trigger?
yeah it casts a lot of times so more of the snipe projectiles benefit
I only have it on the snipe weapon set since I'm not crit on spiral volley
Because one option is to also slam in eye of the winter there if your frenzy stacks are healthy
I'm not running crit on spiral volley tho
snipe is guarantee crit when released in the perfect timing window
What do you mean? Do you disable crit with something or are you just not actively looking for crit?
I'm basically getting 0 crit chance and only crit dmg it's lit
I have it enabled only on weapon set 1 cuz it's useless for spiral volley that way I save spirit
What disables crits for spiral volley?
nothing it's just a lot harder to reach sufficient crit chance
when I tried it, scaling damage with bow skills, projectile damage and phys dmg with quiver due to all the increased effectiveness to quiver bonuses I have was way better
yeah
I'll have to drop brutality
might replace it with lightning pen
HMM
I recommend this cluster instead of lightning pen. It gives you already enough
Ohh nvm you weren't using cold, ignore me
was about to say xd
I can get the nodes next to the one that gives max lightning dmg
But you don't really need penetration that much honestly
I'm pathing right by it
Pretty much bosses only have resistances by default
ah
And it's like 30%
didn't know that
Though, rare monsters do get the Lightning Resistance or Lightning Resistance Aura mod sometimes
Also there's ritual mechanic that increases resistances
And waystone mod
I mean if I don't have other options might as well
I use my basic bow skill as a inventory space extension
I swap my lightning pen in and take heft out in maps with +monster resistance
Like I just swap the middle gems of those skills. Super handy
yeah I can try that as well
It doesn't cost anything, if you don't need the pen that's fine, but you always have the option
I'm at work so I can't look at all the gems anywhere, but since I'll be running lightning infusion on snipe I don't have I'll have other options anyways
elemental dmg mods I think would be worse
actually idk
I'll test things when I get home
I can see how that could be a thing with Brutality and all
But remember if you constantly get innervate active permanently, it's also +35% more damage like Brutality
Also this one is a must gem. Absolutely crazy value
oh yeah for sure
I don't need any duration anyways
might actually swap it with snipe for pinnacles too
It doesn't cost much to try in the sense of respeccing
just a few gems and + lightning source
I could go with howa too but it'll hurt my survivability a loot
yeah true
Or you do have to sacrifice shock. Some people do that though (filthy monks)
pin is much easier
xd
Your build is made for it
Pin
Every attack build can slam in howa :D
Yeah, I know!
yeah and I don't like running meta stuff xd I wanna be special
I'm so jeolous looking at that node just now...
lmaoo
I get it, for sure
I'm maybe midway there. Even if I play something that happens to be popular, I want to put my own spin to it
although tbf my build competes with the meta ones pretty well
except the insanity flurry monk is
yeah exactly
%elemental dmg increases are exactly the same as %lighting dmg increases for me since I'll only have lighting dmg correct?
@waxen jewel
any way to get more attack speed that im missing?
no im not using % as cores
Gimme
If you are using chaos inoculation and mind over matter would supports that take take life to enhance the potency kill you instantly or be taken from mana?
I rarely see monks using elemental expression and trying to use all elements effectively so I made a build about it.
It's mainly for fun, but it works pretty well ❄️ ⚡ 🔥

hey, i want to start a new character and i wanna try a Spark Build but i see two different ones, stormweaver and gemling.
which would u guys recommend me use since my budget is maybe like 2-3 divs
Stormweaver
bloodmage CoC. uses spark but with infinitely more dmg
what does CoC mean?
cast on crit
you just get 100% crit, use the trampletoe frostwall cast on crit combo to just get 200mil dps when your spark hits something
its broken
sounds crazy
hows the budget tho?
cheap
OOOHH now ur talkin
u can get it expensive if u want to
id say like 5-8 div for a basic one that has everything going
i built mine with 3d but since it got more popular and some items went up
damn
is there a link to the build?
1 sec
tysm
u can use spark, arc, or any other skill to proc the crit
i personaly use spark
just feels good
bro he wtf
Is there a rarity sweet spot ? Or more the merrier
Soft cap is 150% and this include bonus from atlas/map as well
So 150 is gonna be the same as to 400 I’m running now?
Not exactly the same, but you'll get most of the benefit yeah
You sure about this?
Afaik there was never any conclusive data on whether the soft cap is applied to each individually, or to the product
Since we know that they're multiplicative with each other
I haven't tested myself, I read a few articles on reddit about this. AFAIK rarity is not multiplicative (quantity is though).
Pretty sure some devs said that player rarity was multiplicative with map rarity
I'm also of the understanding that it worked that way in the first game
Hey, can an experienced player help me out please? I am trying to follow this build: https://maxroll.gg/poe2/planner/yxd720nn But I don't understand where the freeze used to trigger herald of ice comes from. Nothing (As far as I can tell) freezes enemies in this build
Path of Exile 2 Guides, News, Builds, Tier Lists, Campaign Walkthrough, Classes, Crafting, Trade, Tools, major changes & more on Maxroll.gg.
herald of thunder
Can you use the skill Hand of Chayula WITHOUT a quarterstaff?
Like, how spells can be used with anything.
So if I was running a curse setup in my alt swap, I would have to do so with either a quarterstaff or unarmed. Can I wear a focus/shield and count as unarmed?
That was the case in PoE1, although I haven't tested in PoE2. Still, you could check by equipping a random Shield/Focus and trying to use the skill with that weapon set.
I love making builds with weapon swapping. Currently doing a monk that swaps between cold/lightning for example. Love it.
But if I ever run a “pure” kinda build, like pure cold caster…. What do I do with my alt swap?
So I’m thinking: grab a bunch of curse nodes, and use a hand of chayula in my alt swap with frostbite+temporalchains+icemark. Maybe even use a shield on the swap, so I can whip out a big shield if I need to block a slam.
You can't block AoEs like that, and you'd need a source of +1 curse limit, but sounds good otherwise.
Well, can block some things that are blockable at least. And I would be right next to the +1 curse keystone in this example.
Could easily toss on a doedres ring and toss a third curse on there!
Enfeeble maybe.
There's a unique shield that rectifies this
Perfect!!!
Is it pricey?
Nah, it's the wailing wall, you can get it for like 1ex
Trickiest part is gonna be getting people to respond, since if they're in the middle of a map it's not worth interrupting for that little
Actually, maybe I should start using this on my weapon swaps
Doesn't let you use shield skills though, so eh
Can someone help me a little bit with PoB? I'm new to Poe and therefore PoB. I uploaded my stormweaver spark sorc as best as I can, double checked every item, passive tree, quest, but still, PoB shows slightly off stats. For example PoB shows +101 mana compared to reality, as well as slightly higher cast speed for spark. I have no idea what could cause the difference. Is this common or I made a mistake somewhere?
make sure that you also check the "configuration" tab to see if everything is set correctly
Is Ingenuity
Utility Belt at around 60% bonus good enough as a starting point ?
Is there a consensus for what the best kind of flasks are? Or does it always depend on the build?
I just use Maelstrom for everything.
Invoker here with lead me through grace, 17,957 evasion. Only 215 spirit? This doesnt seem right, is there a soft cap on spirit?
I think it takes in only body armour evasion and energy shield values.
Ohhh shit true. Thanks!
Do triggered spells help gain meta energy? Assuming it’s against enemies and not “walls/bells/etc”
0.1.1
Skills socketed in a Meta Gem's sockets can no longer gain energy.
I should hold off on this metaMonk until the patch rebalances it, but whatever I’m having fun
are your resistances capped
do you have life on your gear
is your weapon keeping up
Yeah, it's agony
scav vs. whisperer vs. surfcaster? swapping from LS cause i want something tankier, thinking PS mines maybe? or hexblast
Can anybody geuss what character is this build for and how much it costs?
whats a how and yeah your right
when you say ammy as in the gem for the skill tree?
they're your gloves
what no i mean amulet
ah alright
but what character
and also oh amulet yeah
what is called?
I think its 200 divs
astramentis?
What are some sorceress builds I should know about ?
I'm thinking maybe a frost x lightning
Idk if that's a strong build
And my skill tree is maybe all over the place
I'm using frost wall, spark, orb of the storm, conductivity, I have cast of freeze and comet inside with mana tempest
There
Yeah with archmage
thats like the most meta build in the game
Normal? Good thing or bad
Amen I was actually doing the right thing
But bro my issue is I think my skill tree management is wayy offf
let's see it
Can I dm you or send it here ?
send here
I dont have it yet
thats the only thing missing from my build
you're missing a lot of mana for an archmage build
This is what I'm noticing right now
yeah
You're on point
and the starting is way too many points
you dont want to take all of those smalls
i suggest you take a look at a guide
and take a look at their tree
there is a lot of room for improvement here
@steady osprey I PMed you NickTew's builds
alr
so whats better annoint
or best
spaghettifcation
Idk who that is but is it worth it ?
search up maxroll archmage spark
shouldnt be hard to find some good guides
Yes but, you wont feel as strong if you dont have dream fragment ring
this here?
Alright bro thanks
Say less
does passive tree "chance to poison" effect any skill or do i also need "envenom" support gem for the chance to poison to do anything? for skills that don't poison naturally
I have a morior vigis that has 5% max hp per socket and corrupted to have 12% hp recoup. Would it make more sense to socket Soul Cores of Jiquani or body runes?
Changed my skill tree and now spark doesn't work manner runs out and can't play anymore lmao!
imo body runes
im pretty sure socketing jiquani will actually lower the relative value of the max hp per socket because they stack additively
better option would be to socket elemental resistances to cap out
maelstorm problem solved
ty
also its probably because of mom
its very strong but you need to actively build around it with a lot of mana sustain to not oom
most builds use stuff like mana on kill jewels, everlasting gaze, etc. including high budget stuff like dream fragments
any good spark archmage build will go in-depth on how to not oom
@steady osprey
I don't know which implication I adore more- That Wraeclast has sufficiently advanced astronomy and/or astrophysics to know what black holes are, or the existence of Italy
Or uh, not Wraeclast
Do we have a name for the planet? I know the exiles in the first game come from Oriath
how much es and hp with 75% evasion
Grim feast is a must
if i dont have ci, how much es and hp should i have with 75%~~
demon form or fire minion witch?
hi guys. if I want to have a decent spark build that can clear T15 maps, how much would it cost me? I have 15 div available at the moment. Just wanna try different class.
guys, whats a rule of thumb to keep a meta ring or ammy?? does it needs 3 or more T8+ perks?? or is T7 good enough to sell for divines??
for me, i keep a bunch of rings and amulets, for build flexibility when changing gear. just depends what build you're looking for, but 1 general rule for rings, i keep them if total res is 60 or more
total ress of 60% or more counting the instrinsic>?
you can use whatever guidelines you want, i tend to hoard a bunch of stuff, so maybe you want a more strict guideline

i dont want to suggest you keeping a ton of stuff, hoarding can be a monster, lol. but i know i do it, cause it let's me have flexibility. up to you how you want to play
Maybe i have a ring that fixes my res, or something close. Lots of trash stuff that I'll reforge later
I can take off spaghetti from my amulet and put it on my tree with a diamond I bought. What could I replace the distilled with? I'm stating as a ice monk lvl 93
does "recover mana on kill" count as leech?
two different things. leech should work on physical damage only
unless i'm mistaken somehow
No, it's just that most sources of Leech specify physical attack damage. Blood Mage has generic Spell damage leech, for instance.
However, Recover Mana on Kill is not Leech. PoE is very specific in its wording, if the word Leech isn't there, then it isn't Leech.
aight ty
We all know "later" never happens
https://maxroll.gg/poe2/planner/yxd720nn Can somebody explain to me why Pure Power (the skill on the very top) is active, even though it is not connected?
Path of Exile 2 Guides, News, Builds, Tier Lists, Campaign Walkthrough, Classes, Crafting, Trade, Tools, major changes & more on Maxroll.gg.
Allocated
So like, from an item I take it? Thanks
From the build is ammy
I don't know what that means
His amulet is what he allocated pure power
Ahhh I see, thank you
Is there any list of differences between crossbows?
Or are the dyad and bomb one the only one that anything unique to them
Just what they uhm like extra grenade and other stuff
Ye
Or additional dmg
Are there differences between the other types?
Magnitude of Shock is basically its x% inc damage taken, right? So mods increasing shock magnitude increase that, correct?
Will the 2% mana on kill jewel make a difference in survivability (spark build) ?
I’m confused why is a lower level corpsewade more expensive that a higher level one in the market
more mana usually means more dps, usually means kill enemy faster. and if you're EB, more mana definitely means better survival.
Okay thank you
So you can level with it
Have any cool new builds come up recently? Or is it the same 3 builds everyone is playing ?
does the shocked ground generated by invoker's ascendancy contribute to cast on shock
Im trying to make rarity bot build with infernalist witch, so far I have 560 rarity with all needed gear. I'm playing with a friend and we are staying close to each other when mapping, I still see no difference in loot. Am i missing something or 560 is still not that much?
Not a hit, so no.
thank you for advocating for me
Public defenders are important :)
According to some (was vaguely reputable, but I don't remember who, so treat this as a second hand "trust me bro" ) it helps if the person killing also has some rarity, like the normal 100-150
And of course it's just better with more people
Guys i need help, why does the gem "Heavy Swing" decrease my Hit Dps? Does it have something to do with avatar of fire? I dont understand it but pob says my hit dmg is lower
Converted damage doesn't benefit from modifiers to the prior damage type, so all that Heavy Swing does for you is give you 10% less attack speed.
aah thanks!
i thought that i increase my phys damage of which 70 % goes fire
but why does my damage go down if i delete this then?
Apparently, that modifier is applied prior to conversion, so that would be why.
Keep in mind there are still issues with PoB2 so it might not be 100% accurate.
shh
the point still stands though
there's generally more increased multipliers
stuff like increased physical damage
increased lightning damage
The reason "More maximum physical" applies but "more physical" doesnt is because Maximum affects the damage range. Damage is rolled within the range and then converted is my understanding of why that happens
yes
i pointed out "more" and the "maximum" interactions earlier but the "more" part was kind of irrelevant imo so i deleted my message lol
How much generic AoE can you get on the tree? I.e. not specific to attacks or spells
I have a bit of a cocaine dream of an idea, but I'm not sure if I'm going to need an Adorned for it
What's the fubgun build of sparkmage?
Hello, i have a question for the more savy mages
Why comet is using 60% of the invocation meter of the elemental invocation? It shouldnt be 40% (200 energy)? thanks in advance
How are you scaling so much DPS on a skill like comet? I've invested a lot into this off meta build, and it feels like I've hit a ceiling.
Currently ~100k DPS on Comet using a SRS/Cast on Minion Death Build
Current Gear Setup
i used to play a comet CoMD build but mine was different from yours. i was getting over 250k comet dps while summoning like 200 comets on a pack of mobs. the build i was using focused on getting highest mana and spirit possible.
I'd suggest replacing your gloves with one with high max mana rolls, crit damage, and ES.
Replace your wand with a Threaded Light Woven Focus with a max roll or over roll corruption on increased spell damage per 10 spirit. Instead of the Woven focus you can use a 3 socket (2% mana soul cores) Mahuxotl's Machination Omen Crest Shield with 600%+ effect of socketed soul cores for more survivability at the cost of damage.
For helm i used Solus Ipse Grand Visage with a high +spirit corruption.
For skills, fireball, archmage, raging spirits, 2x CoMD with lvl 21 comet, inspiration, spell echo, concentrated effect (can be replaced with spell cascade for more comets) and imputus on both CoMD and with left over spirit i used blinked and calrity.
For Body 5 socket (2% mana) Morior Invictus Grand Regalia with spirit, and mana per soul core.
For jewels get Prism of Belief Diamond with +3 comet skill lvls, 3x 5% grand spectrum sapphires which gives a total of 45% all ele resistances, sapphires with 2% mana recovered on kill, crit rate and crit damage.
For passive tree get eldritch battery, nodes that increase meta energy gained and tiggered skill damage, chaos inoculation, mind over matter, crit rate and crit damage nodes, and max mana and mana regen nodes. other improvements to your build would to get more mana whereever you can.
what are some good level 47 boots
invoker build
Does this increase the converted damage from avatar of fire, or only use the flat fire dmg on my mace?
I'm checking for annoints on my build and Lightning Rod looks good but it says "Non-Critical Hits". Does this only apply to attacks or does it also work for spells?
Unless it specifies Attack or Spell, then it works for any Hit.
Hit is everything that does dmg straight (not like poison) ?
Anything that isn't damage over time is a Hit, yes.
thank you all! <3
Yeah noticed haha
any architects of chaos in the chat? is the vaal crit chance from depose order displayed in the skillsheet? i skilled it but it still shows 6% (using Vaal absolution)
any expert who wants to hop into vs and help me?
Does Chaos inoculation work with Infernalist's like reservation nodes?
my flicker strike is generating only one combo even tho it hits 20+ enemies.. is it a bug? It clearly says it strikes.. This actually completely ruined my build idea ffs
it generates 1 combo from the first hit and then nothing
not a bug, just how it works for some reason

i sat making it in pob for an hour
nt lol
english isnt my native language, does this mean the enemy has to be affected by an ailment thats not elemental, or as long as he's not affected by elemental ailments its good?
im building a physical crit build and idk if i should take this
So I’ve seen mixed opinions on increased item rarity. I’m currently running about 200% on my gear. I guess I’m wondering what ppl think that have used rarity builds
I’m also playing solo and not accounting waystone rarity or any other places rarity could come from
You get the bonus unless they have an elemental ailment.
aight ty
Have a Q, is the number of Remembrancing impact in the notable nodes or what is the impact of this number ?!!
if i have scattershot on high velocity rounds will only the first bullet consume broken armor for more dmg? or will all 3 consume it
The number basically determines what the nodes are changed into
Has anyone here considered using wands as an offhand for one handed mace characters?
you cant
no stat sticks
all your weapons have to match the weapon req of the skill
is the weapon dmg per 5 strength local, meaning it only buffs the 11-22 phys dmg the weapon has?
not local
global but only to attacks with the weapon
oh thank god
so same as inc. damage, practically speaking
yes
Huh, really? So is it as though you just had a weapon swap for each moveset?
Because the damage as extra from wands seems like it should be global
if you wielded a mace and a wand
you cannot use mace skills
it would work if you could
same as poe1
it used to be a thing, ppl called them stat sticks, then it was removed
the only dff is that in poe1 weapon reqs are much looser
"requires melee weapon" instead of "requires mace"
Yeah, I feel like in this game it would not be nearly as much of an issue
so you see dual wielding of diff weapon types a lot more in poe1
Alright, made a stat stacking gemling, lvl 87 currently max resist
Why am I getting clapped in everything still
With enough investment is there any build that doesn’t or just won’t work
why doesnt this increase my tempest flurry dps? taking it or slotting it does nothing?
you can see a change by taking outa support gem and putting it back in
yeah that does increase/reduce dmg but not tree nodes for some reason, didnt happen before so its probably a bug
yeah you just have to do it after making a change on your tree to force a change
because when i restart the game after taking the node off it updates my dmg
yup
ty for your help good sir 🙏
you can also see changes by expanding the detailed breakdown. the DPS should update there
click the arrow to see a detailed view. here Im buffing myself but the tooltip doesnt update. but the expanded view on the right does
such a weird thing to break with a patch, lol
What's the strongest/highest dps stormweaver build right now if I don't have like 100+ divines
I met a guy with 2.1mil dps on spark he said he was like top 10
It kinda odd, but luckily it's just a display thing. We'll see how long it takes to undo this issue
Could someone recommend me fast class/builds. I like the feeling of running through mob packs and blastin them. But not something too fast like flicker strike. I've leveled a deadeye and have been enjoying that more than spark stormweaver.
Play monk
What specfic build do you rec?
Path of Exile 2 Guides, News, Builds, Tier Lists, Campaign Walkthrough, Classes, Crafting, Trade, Tools, major changes & more on Maxroll.gg.
Tempest flurry
Thanks, ill check it out
What are the best ways or minimum gear or mods to maintain Infernalist demon form indefinitely? Do you basically need to regen more than 50% of your maximum life per second?
What is currently the superior invoker build? heard ice strike and falling thunder are up there?
Path of Exile 2 Guides, News, Builds, Tier Lists, Campaign Walkthrough, Classes, Crafting, Trade, Tools, major changes & more on Maxroll.gg.
You can never sustain it indefinitely, only delay the onset of the decay.
Not taking into account flasks, after you begin losing health it will always take about 36 seconds for you to run out of health.
You have an additional 200 * Healthregen/MaxHealth seconds before that happens though
is there a budget version of this build?
I'm sure there's some but idk
im following this build right now but am running into issues fighting bosses

also during mapping every 2-3 maps i get stunned/frozen and just die quicker than i can blink out or kill them
this also requires me to respec every time i want to fight bosses (into meditate)
I don't use med personally
i see
i have a net worth of around 15 div
with most of it being in the form of jewels i use, inge belt and howa
im having issues with my monk as of late and am looking for another build to transition to
Well u don't wanna stat stack then
what would you recommend for a monk build then?
I wouldn't know iv only stat stacked monk
Cruse trade site look for cheaper gear pillar/hands/invicus are the core items
hmm okay
U can get rings and ammy for like a div the invicus will be like 18-25 div for starting
i see okay
Path of Exile 2 Guides, News, Builds, Tier Lists, Campaign Walkthrough, Classes, Crafting, Trade, Tools, major changes & more on Maxroll.gg.
with this build as well, if you look at the passive tree
he respecs his ascendancy points for the bossing version
how important do you think that change is?
I changed like half the tree
wdym?
I used it as a base line

Lol!
Sorry!
You read cold monk because stormweavers only know how to click spark with archmage 😭😭
Really? I know there are sustain mechanics like life regen or flask recovery, but I've seen some videos where they've had over 400 stacks.
