I'm following a build for warbringer called Woolie's Armor Break Warbringer and it says to get svalinn with cast on block, but doesnt say what to put in there, does anyone have any idea what I should use?

is there a way to increase the clear speed of DD as a bloodmage apart from just inc aoe ?
whatever that value is, it gives them freeze buildup equal to 10% of your max mana
its like dealing 10% of your mana as cold damage but they dont take any of the damage and just the freeze buildup
at least, that's how i read it, it's pretty weird

And most annoying part is it's not even essencable

There are 2 main things I would look at:
- Is your weapon WAY underleveled
- And are you understanding conversion
In what way conversion
You know, how skills convert to other damage types
Like ice and lightning concersion on Heralds?
I know that ice strike converts physical damage to cold damage so i want high physical damage to increase that further
But honestly, I doubt that's the issue of your build, because your +%increased damage sources should be for generic elemental damage
But I didn't go into that Rabbit hole
How about the levels of your gems?
And also the supports on them
You obviously don't have 5 sockets on every skill at that point, but it's very cheap to start getting 4 sockets with vaal orbs corrupting 3 socket gems
One thing with heralds to keep in mind, is that they can't apply the ailment they use as their payoff
So herald of thunder can't apply shock because it consumes shocks so there's no point in putting, let's say, increased shock magnitude support on your herald of thunder cause it can't shock anyways

Mobility is the main issue if you just want to "zoom zoom", plenty of build kill everything instantly

The lightning warp kind of playstyle is probably more realistic for a first character and I've seen a video or 2 of it and it actually does look fast

The more outrageous thing is the elemental weapon bases losing 20% more multiplier due to quality
You can't just give up 20% more damage. That's more than gem slot usually

This is important question. The answer is no. You can think of crit as an multiplier just like increased damage. Because on average that's what crit does
There's no synergy, completely independent is my point
Only thing you do need to pay attention is the ratio of %inc critical damage and %inc crit chance, because those do have synergy

Yeah it is, so in a sense once you have a big enough pile of +%inc damage the diminishing returns have started to kick in and you might get more for the same commitment elsewhere (such as crit)

Well, after i made a couple characters, made a gemling that does almost 2m dps, and finished all pinnacle, wasnt much more to do
So im just doing experiments, wasting HUNDREDS of divs and vaals on gambling items

1: If you have guard while using Blood Magic, does the cost of skills ignore your guard and come directly from your life pool?
2: If yes to 1, if you continue to cast with your life after achieving guard, will further instances of overheal stack with your remaining guard?

This is not knowledge about Olroth's, but logically the duration should queue unless you have the pathfinder ascendancy notable or Eternal Youth key passive that buggily disables flask queueing atm

I mean what are you doing right in the first place? Just you have some idea, and then you change stuff. Why did you change stuff? For fun maybe, sure, good reason. If the change in dps happened due to gear swapping there's few gotchas about local modifiers I can tell you
If you are early in game it's pretty much just raw damage numbers and attack speed that determine your damage
And if you are playing attacks, Added X to Y damage modifiers from things like rings affect your dps extremely much
75% is decent

here is the comparison with pob and ingame tooltip
left is in game, average 476.5 ( 905+ 48 /2 )
right is POB average 619.3 (no clue what maths they do to calculate that)
everything is similar in game about stats, mana,gems level etc
there is over 50k dps difference with a full stuff in pob and in game everything is similar
for example, i dont think ingame accounts for shock
i disabled shock completely in both scenarios , but ye i dont know
if you want you can dig into the calcs and math it all manually to figure out what the differnce is
but i dont really see the point in doing that

you can try yourself with a lvl 21 spark in game and pob, only select intellect nodes ( 205) , and look at the difference in average hit

Im trying to try out a totem warrior, I know its not the best class but I have fun with it. And looking into it a lot of people seem to say all you need to worry about on your axes is kinda using them as like stat sticks, and the pdps doesnt matter and I just want to make sure that's true. Like is it better for damage to have two +7 to melee skills axes that are like 150 dps vs two +2s that are 650 dps?
for totems only the + weapon skill works on weapon, ive tried pretty much everything
the % inc stun gems you socket on weapon seems to work but nothing else
the totems use their own weapons

depends, you need to paly with the triple str requirement on 2h so you need one with 80-90 str max

you need to cast spells inside it for 50% to your total mana cost for it to reach stage 1, stage 2 etc
if you have 1000 mana -> spend 500 mana, it will reach stage 1 and you gain x % spell damage, repeat 3 times

They went to more expressive/artistic/good/whatever direction with the shapes on the passive tree, but as a side effect it's unintuitively unbalanced, because many jewels barely scrape by and manage to get like 5 more good nodes inside than others. Whereas with the more symmetrical poe1 design, jewel radii were more obvious IMO

Yeah you can use combat frenzy with the resonance node to change frenzy charges to power charges

spark doesnt gain any damage with lvl 30 ( 21 + 4 + 3 +2) and when you add +1 lvl with the arbiter jewel i dont see any diff in damage , thats a bit stinky because i spent 39div for it
where do you find your max accuracy number?
Speaking of charges, by far the coolest way I've seen Endurances generated is by using Profane Ritual + way to trigger poison + Corrosion for Poison = armor break + break endurance for armor break = endurance charges
You find it by looking at the detailed view of any attack skill

Nope, but I've done the content itself lot recently just to get jewels
Most important affix on relics is +# merchant choices, which let's you find the reduced priced boon ASAP
But you probably have perfect ones in trade leagues anyways

Blink + regular evade is pretty much must on different weapon sets
+0.Xm dodge roll distance gives you few shortcuts more, but I find it annoying when doing regular dodges around fire turrets

Yeah, I think the language is pretty clear
The word Trigger is underlined and capitalized meaning it's the same familiar keyword you've seen elsewhere

because it doesnt affect the buff from the warcry
that's the thing that's carrying over from the swap
inc damage modifiers are calculated when you hit the enemy
long after you swapped

morior is a very wellrounded piece that can also increase attributes, so it helps with sustain since most of your stuff is uniques
ideally you want a 5 slot with +attributes and +elemental resistances

as a baseline you want howa, pillar, and ingenuity + some decent rings

First step to chrono in the current state of the game is accept that stormweaver will have higher damage (especially elemental). Second step is to find the cool stuff that stormweavers don't really want to do (non-elemental spells, literally anything besides mana stacking lol). This is important to your mental health because stormweaver (esp Force of Will and double shock) is so overtuned for now.

Yeah, you can switch between auto and taken levels. Also, if you are not endgame or missed books that also will throw off your stats
yeah it's just my damage that seems to be a little all over the place now but i assume the calculations aren't entirely perfect? as i have already seen one ability gem that isn't registering spirit costs correctly

Ice strike invoker here....I changed hand of chayula to herald of lightning (just felt I needed the dps) and now I cant seem to get charges for Charged Staff -- I guess i never understood HOW I was getting those charges. Any thoughts? Didnt change my armor or passives at all -- just the skill gems

The damage breakpoints are at 21/26/31, but a 22 could be useful if you have either +4 or +9 levels from wand, shield, and amulet, which are reasonable totals to hit
I have no clue what build would reach level 21 gem without at least +5 gem levels elsewhere
max rolls on those slots reach +10 gem levels and thats without more exotic options like corruptions

weapon swap is a mechanic i fully do not understand
You can have different sets of reserved spirit spells with your weapon swaps
I use that CDR shield on my weapon swap and blink
And I turn off my other spirit reserve skills like HOI and HOT

Important note about grand spectrum – everyone wants 5% grand spectrum as there like end game choice, however picking up 3x 9% cold/fire/lightning resist grand spectrum gives the same total resist overall and 10% actually gives 1 extra resist, these are often much cheaper than 5% grand spectrums to provide the same overall effect

extra damage is calculated separately from your damage so if your dealing extra cold damage but only have lightning damage increases you wont get much value off the extra cold damage

It happens before +%inc and +%more damage because it's a type of damage conversion
So the "added as extra <type> damage" only benefits from +%inc damage to <type>
But if your +%inc and +%more multipliers don't care about type "%gain as extra is great". For builds not having wands for example, monk starting area has one with gain +5% extra damage as cold notable is really nice for my deadeye
Because it effectively is +5% more damage
And that's about the same that level to a gem gives
Note though that "gain <type> as extra" stacks additively with other sources of it so it has diminishing returns
So like this node would be really bad for an archmage build

This item has poor description IMO. Stat conversions and gains are keyworded and well explained in-game, but this item uses this bit mysterious word "Granted". I'ts not obvious what number it is granting. Is it the base regen value or does it takes into the wielder's own temporary buffs etc.
You need to put the Spark gem into one of the sockets for Cast on Shock. As is, it doesn't have a Spell to trigger.
Have you tested the life regen by actually looking at the rate of hp regen or just the stat page? It might just be a visual bug, there are lots of those around especially with temporary buffs and toggles etc.

To me "granting" allies stats means granting the life regen stat you have currently. I assume this is done before taking into account +%inc life recovery
This can be tested by standing near two players with different %inc recovery
If I were you, I'd try to test with any sources of +%inc/more life recovery disabled. Like this node:
AFAIK recovery rate applies to stuff like Recoup, Life flask too so it's a more broad stat. Also based on how flask modifiers work, It should be multiplicative with +%inc life regen
Need a little bit of help understanding the difference between 10% increased Attack Damage and 10% increased Global Attack Damage. Presumably, both is better, but it seems to me that "attack damage" would affect any damage done by your attacks, and "global attack damage" would affect... the same?
