Well it would be hard for a random mob to tap that build, you must be unaware because it's 15k ES u're running, you have dog mitigation and also you have % of damage converted to chaos and fire, which should be maxed

storm have best clear with instant arcs, cold being cold freeze bosses and have better damage and reavers are agressive bunch and get aggro from everything like a bosses and remove things from the map, but worst clear and tends to bodyblock each other
also reavers need least button presses, cause they don't need curses, exposure or critical weakness from eye

Yo my auras keep turning off, I have the spirit, and weapon swap is not happening. It'll turn back on if I remove a support gem but then turn back off again after I start attacking stuff
anyway, sarcasm aside, you really should fix your tree probably

if you have like 20k eva, 8k ES and recover 5% of your ES(so 1000) when you are finally hit(shouldn't happen that often) you should be good\

You're essentially taking 8% more cold damage at 73% than at 75%. If you think a rune is worth 8% less cold damage taken, I'd socket it. Especially now that they're replaceable
Technically you take 8% more without the rune, but with the rune you'll take 7.4% less

That % increased damage with ele attacks mod on martial weapons is a global mod, not local. So it just gets lumped in with every other %increase you have that's applicable to the skill you're using

There are a solid half dozen good monk builds

If you mean QUARTERSTAFF though - most people are building that on Gemling Legionnaire - and its a Pillar of the Caged God / Hand of Wisom & Action Stat stacker
You can play Stacker on Monk if you want as well - but gemling kind of custom made for it.
Most Monk builds (invoker) are running either Ice Strike or Tempest Flurry as their main attack - supported by both herald of ice and lightning, and support htem in ways that they chain off of one another.
You can additionally add Power charges - and include Falling Thunder or Flicker strike

But that helmet has the most effective ES in the game and is severely underrated imo

Given that my totems are almost all physical damage and my leech value is now almost 20%, is there a tooltip somewhere that indicates totems not leeching is intended behavior, or is this a bug? because they oneshot enemies but my lifebar doesn't move.

Well, on one hand, that sounds smart. On the other hand, you don't really need the str for a 2-handed mace, I'm still using a one-handed on my 84 warrior and HotG has the highest dps of any of my skills by far... and I'm running ancestral sunder shotguns...i mean totems 😄

I mean to do it you'd have to run through a good chunk of one of the physical class sections of the passive tree, HotG is an attack, not a spell, and it's straight physical damage, so there's nothing in the sorc tree to synergize with it except a ton of mana gen/MoM/Battery combo b/c you're gonna eat massive chunks of it.
so it'd be right there for the taking most likely if you ran down the warrior tree

When you cast HotG there's a duration before it actually falls and deals damage. Duration increase makes it take longer to fall, lowering your effective dps.
it's similar to wanting earthquake to have a lower duration so the eruption happens faster

the idea for the meme in my head is taking a chronomancer with hammer of the gods, giving it ingenuity (30% CDR), tremors (chance for double/quadruple/septuple damage via aftershocks), fast forward (30% less duration), Heft (damage ramp), and second wind.
Cast as many times as Now and Again + Second Wind lets you, hit your cooldown reset, repeat, and watch 4-6 hammers fall on multiple enemies in rapid succession with 6 possible aftershocks each.

So I know they say you shouldn’t start with the stat stacking gemling legionnaire because it’s expensive but I’m pretty dead set on it as my first build what is considered “ expensive “ is it really out of reach and what are the not so important parts of the build I could potentially cheap out on until I’m a higher level if there’s a way I will do it

it means skills that were auto-casted from meta gems won't generate energy on their own, to avoid loops
i.e. if you auto cast comet with CoF and the comet lands and freezes more enemies, enemies frozen by that comet won't generate energy
i.e. if you auto cast comet with CoC and the comet lands and crits, it won't generate energy
For heralds to proc eachother you can put cold infusion on herald of thunder and lightning infusion with glaciation on herald of thunder, you can use black sun crest helm with no problem idk about the interaction with three dragons mask
if you auto cast shock with CoS, and that shock shocks, it won't generate energy
build freeze is really easy on this helm
but the damage is way higher on this

i had one armour break on leap, one that activated on heavy stun, and other one "break armour 15% of your damage" on bone shatter, so i broke armour on leap, then consumed it with bone shatter, and broke further if something was left standing, not sure latter mattered but it worked quite well

I believe there's no falloff and crits apply as well. Everything you do to your struck target will also be done to everything in an area around it
Idk what you define as "worth it" and honestly I think warrior might be very strong for it. Snipe is one of the highest base damage skills in the game (solid for ignite) and warrior starts pretty close to avatar of fire so you can convert a huge physical damage snipe to something that can ignite

I am trying to determine 1 spark setup that will be good both for thrash and bosses.
For thrash, i think around 50k spark DPS is sufficient to just roll through the map.
Now for bosses, how do i decide what type of setup will bring me the best amount of "cast on shock"?
Do i put 100% more shock support gem on spark, or do i get higher damage, because this also makes shock better?
Is there any calculator, where i can see if my chance for shock is better with more damage or more shock chance?
weird its 10 though i feel like 50 is pretty manageable

depends on your build but they make capping resists harder so it can be annoying

In my thoughts this works like:
Corpse Life 20 % = Base DMG Full Physical
+
35% Brutality
+
Max Dmg 30% (Heft)
+
Global Modifyer
= Base Phys Max Dmg * Crit Pos DMG = End Dmg
No elemental DMG no spell dmg.
Or is there a Spell Indicator too? Anyone know?

yeah "Regeneration" is a specific mechanic
because otherwise I might just put it to 1 fps

I'd check out snapow's channel on YouTube. He makes a lot of builds for insane party play combos. You could play one of the support builds and turn everyone else into their own carry, potentially. I'm not sure what he's cooked up for poe2 that hasn't been nerfed already

Gemling piller of the caged god, It was great and did work but my God was it mind numbing.
No I'm going to one that literally doesn't have a name because I haven't given it one. But it's basically dual wielding two-hand maces, using molten blast and poison.
I did a test on my alt character with it and it seemed like a lot of fun and actually worth trying out on my main
man, grim feast is OP, i just cleared first trial of sekhema with only this much damage to my honour, all thanks to grim feast, any damage i took to my ES when it was overcharged did not damage my Honour value
im a close/mid range caster with slow movespeed too and basically no honour resistance either

Is Titan a class? Sorry I'm a bit of a noob that's kind of a dumb question. I just know Giants blood is the skill point for dual wielding two handers.
But no I'm literally changing my gemling to this build. And from what I've played of it it is quite fun. And because of some alterations I've done along the way it's a lot less squishy than when I first tested it.
It makes the cast speed of molten blast long enough for me to make a cup of ramen before throwing it. But so far it just deletes whatever it touches. But I haven't actually tested it on like Pinnacle bosses or anything

man, i thought this would add 20% on top of the max amount of exposure i could inflict, it did not, instead it adds 20% to each tick of exposure i inflict, which for incinerate means i reach max exposure on an enemy incredibly quick, like 3 ticks of damage
that means the highest exposure i can inflict is like 87.5% or something

If a skill converts 50% of physical damage to lightning damage and I have the notable passive that make lightning damage lucky, how does the crit chance work? does the game roll for critical hit for each damage types?
101 base ES, plus 71, then multiply with (85 + 20=105%= x2.05) and you get 352.6 ES, same as the helmet you have in the screenshot
if you want to calculate the extra 423 you just add another 20% to the parenthesis calculation
so it becomes
(85 + 20 = 105% x 1.2 = 2.46 (this since the 20% from armour quality is multiplicative)
this equals out to 423.12 ES

yes, the number in the corner is the potential of what it can achieve with 20% quality since its not corrupted, if you had looked at a corrupted item this number would not show

The things I've done to try and fix this are remove the point from Giants blood, unequip all the gear. Exit game entirely, load back in equip all of it again except the weapons, and it still will not let me equip them.

well in maps you eventually need to get away from the cap of 10 stacks - and build other ways to offset the loss so you can get higher stacks. Leveling 10 stacks is fine but maps you need to scale

people are coming up with new shit every day and finding interactions. PoB escalates the timeline of that at an exponential level - and its all gone. POB did it to POE1 - and will do it to POE2. Its inevitable.
I guess it depends on how closely you follow build/meta discussion. I don't much so PoB is mostly for me to test more stuff out myself
Right - literally making my point. Instead of you going and PLAYING the game, and experiencing what the build feels like and scales with - you just sit there and run 100 permutations. Thus removing all of the fun exploration. because its an optimized task and checklist.
Heralds chaining off one another - Something that from a POB perspective - would have been a no no, because you actively need to reduce the dps of your Heralds by supporting them with gems that drop their dmg, but force the chains.
We learned it from playing with it - and realized it was worth it - even though sheet dps would tell a very different story
POB is perfect to avoid spending Div on item that was not an upgrade
math does that for you too though

Even if not optimal. Anyone have a good idea of what skill I could use to trigger a coc hexblast build? Big fan of coc stuff and having trouble deciding. The new original sin might make it a lot easier to build around as well.

Id say cold or phys spells because of the base crit for scaling purposes
blood mage makes more things viable - but you can just use those 2 points elsewhere
Fire ball - Scattershot - wildshards generates alot of hits
Yeah I've been doing blood mage stuff, the problem is it's so hard to maintain health and mana without using the convert hp to es helm and the instant leech gloves which is what I'm burned out on currently.
Leaning more towards monk something or sorc but idk yet. Maybe pob will help me plan it out better.

Wanted to know what's the best or most OP build right now? I am looking to start with a build which could help make game a little easier.
I researched and see people referring Infernalist minions as one of the best builds. Is this good? Better than Lightning Arrow or Stormweaver?

the best build is an attribute stacker imo and im partial to "one mana lefts" version
the most overpowered build is probably pillar howa gemling legionaire but it is not able to be league started as its extremely expensive and relies on certain expensive uniques
best league starter is probably spark stormweaver if you want to just play one character (not reroll), but if you plan to reroll then it is maybe LA deadeye...
Now that we can swap runes I have a potentially stupid question: Im running a cryoshock sorc w/ MoM/EB/CI. I have 4900 mana, with nearly all of that on my gear from mana and energy shield boosts. I am trying to hit 5000 mana as easily as possible, and my gear is so specific that it would be ideal to not switch any pieces right now. My chest armor has 2 iron runes and with the 40% from that I have like 650-something ES on it: Is there a way for me to tell whether 2 '2% increased mana' soul cores would boost me to 5000 before slotting them?

I come from the Destiny world where we had Destiny Item Manager, in which we logged in with our Bungie Account and could work with our gear directly.
Yes it manages calculates DPS correctly for the most part, finds equipment its pretty, it got me a wife
im guessing you won't be able to import characters on launch, because i dont think that api exists yet on GGG's end
so i suppose we'll have to do our passive trees manually and copy and paste gear from game into PoB one by one
in PoE 1 you could import characters, but we can also view PoE 1 characters of accounts on the website yet we cannot do that yet in POE 2

you can hover your mouse cursor over a piece of gear and ctrl+C to copy the text of it though

and PoB will let you ctrl+v to paste in the gear in the items tab

Just like SMT games, defense is nothing, it's all about HP up stuff and getting stuff that ups your skill. Wanna go physical? Focus on strength. Wanna exploit weaknesses? Get Magic
I misunderstood you. I thought you were saying you were playing a lightning skill and picking nodes that increased your fire damage or something, but you're saying you were investing into defense early on when it is better to invest entirely into offense.
only defence worth investing for is ES anyway, so w/e
Here's the thing, I started Mercenary, there's 2 nodes, have no idea what to build myself. I go and start building myself on both nodes rather than the one that gives damage and I'm here now going "Oh, that sucks, actually." After running PoE1 with a Tornado Inquisitor build.

When I started to focus my Merc to use grenades only and stop trying every single weapon in it's set, just basic shotgun + grenades, Merc was starting to feel nutty.
but also i ask why would you play a merc as a league starter if you're just going to build it as a ranger but start in a worse spot lol

then you care about suffixes
rewards = prefixes
dangerous mods = suffixes, but also these suffixes increase the waystone drop chance of the waystone
this number is entirely determined by the suffixes on the waystone
I have one with 570% I guess that is good
as for prefixes, increased item quant is best by far, but also good is anything that adds more monsters to the map
can you use quality upgrade items on corruped items?
it'd be shorter to list which prefixes are bad. basically increase gold is bad and increased amount of chests isn't particularly good
every other prefix is at least decent
for waystone sustain, it's about atlas passives, nodes with bosses, and getting as many suffixes on the map as u can

Then I'd suggest telling them they're not beholden to crossbows and grenades. I really dislike how much more poe2 seems to associate classes with builds and I've been doing my best to push against it. I think the builds people create get way more interesting and fun when people throw off the shackles of class archetypes

like i agree merc is much stronger if a new player levels it with the ranger setup instead of grenades, but realistically that's just not going to be what happens

i think what you are getting at is that i shouldn't say "merc is bad for league starter" and instead say "grenade builds are bad as league starter" but i don't really agree still since i think there is no reason to roll merc regardless of which build archetype you choose
