Right, it's a spell that makes an object, the object then causes hits at a particular damage range. Which is why I started trying you get my brain to think in terms of how I could modify the object separate from modifying the cast/spell, if that makes sense?

charges? you mean the wisps? they'll just refill your es pool if you're not full, and overflow if you are
I think the campaign shows more where their design intentions lie but throwing together the POE 1 endgame will def make it hard to revert without making everyone upset

My experience in every act was a torture as I tried to make bleed conc work wrong gamble
I gambled ice strike while everyone was on that tempest flurry hype train and it became meta

I complain about it after playing icestrike monk because most skills are still locked behind specific weapons

I like the weapon lock, because weapons finally don't feel just like stat sticks
Now if charged staff was just charged melee weapon then i could maybe plan to play a double strike dual wield swords or something but that's not happening
If you go for a wacky build you get punished if you didn't plan well or things don't work as expected
I feel like it's natural that people don't experiment I wouldn't like to play 60 hours for nothing

When a skill says it deals 150% of attack damage, and you have sources of gain extra damage as x% of damage, does the extra damage get scaled with the 150% from the skill or is it added as extra base damage after the 150% from the skill?
it doesn't really matter
150% of attack damage just means it deals 50% more damage at the end of the day
Well it would be very different if let's say you deal 100 phys damage and you gain 20% of phys as extra lighting. So you would deal 100 phys and 20 lightning. With a 200% damage skill (for simplicity) you would deal 200 phys and 40 lighting in one instance but if it's applied after then you would deal 200 phys and only 20 lighting.

I've seen a couple that use cast on freeze or crit to use profane ritual or using combat frenzy to generate power charges with the charge switcher keystone

how large is a meter in poe 2? how mutch radius do I need for all 5 grenades to hit the same target reliably?

i cant really tell you the math, but simply 100% means half, then you do the 10% again from the 2 second, so 1.9

1rst • Lets assume I run "Despair" (https://pathofexile2.wiki.fextralife.com/Despair) as AURA with "Blasphemy" (https://pathofexile2.wiki.fextralife.com/Blasphemy)
2nd • I then strip the curse with "Hexblast" (https://pathofexile2.wiki.fextralife.com/Hexblast) will the Chaos damage of "Hexblast" benefit from the resistance reduction provided by the "Despair" curse?

you can pretty easily test it yourself, a nice place is Cruel act1 Clearfell witch boss, close to waypoint
when u hit a boss the damage number shows up
so u just compare

I was focused on running dual Blasphemy, but that comes for the 2nd part. The 1rst part of the test consists of testing the mecanics, I'll give it a try act 1.
If the curse does disapear before dmgs application then I'll have to try and find a way to force a second curse to be stripped insrtead of despair

I tried out spark but it's just not enjoyable for me.
oh yea hexblast has quite a damage range. you can average it out or ask some1 who's more experienced with the build, I personally tested stuff by doing averages lol

i main a frostfire sorc but I have homies who play a lightning deadeye ranger and they are just speeding through mobs like butter

A small bit. I didn't go too far into it. I tend to gravitate to sorcs but I saw the lightning rod and thought it was funny.

if I were you i'd play both to level 20 at least to get a good feel and then decide from there
spark needs some investment to finally feel good, some play arc bcs higher base damage early, ranger leveling is ass with rod + orb of storm, not really sure about monk
it seems to be working.with only 1 curse.
On averrage I tend to deal a little more with the "despair" curse on and a little bit less with another curse
so dual curse might not be absolutly needed at this point, nice

and it seems that yes, even tho you rip it, aura instantly re-applies the curse (or else dmgs are calculated before the strip I dunno) but I seem to deal more dmgs when I strip the "despair" curse than another one

well, i tried the Uldur boots that give you a 20% reduced reservation for undead minions but it does not reduce the reservation to my frost skeleton mages.
PoEDB provides things come out each league, as well as items, uniques, skills and passives. Path of Exile Wiki editing functions.
thats weird bcs zombies doesnt even use reservation, and what other minion that reserve that isnt undead

so far all I can figure is +20% from gcp +12-16% from gemionnaire and past that maybe +3% from corruption any other ways to get more quality?

you stack max es on your skill tree et voila you got bizillions of es
es from gear, scaled by passive tree + grim feast
hmm, what if you have the skill that makes your hp 1. How does "50% of Maximum Life Converted to Energy Shield" apply ? Its worthless then, correct ?
its highly likely it isnt working as intended, but your hp gets converted before goes to 1
for now it works, but after they patched it no longer works

It’s increased chance from your base chance, so if base was 10% you would have 19.5%
But ailments are complicated and it depends on the amount of damage you do and the ailment resistance of the enemy
oh... so with ele dmg bleed my base is only 15%? that's so bad T.T

Ahh okay so you need to generate frenzy charges. That is typically done by using the skill Combat Frenzy and then electrocuting, pinning, or freezing enemies

Right now, I’m at tier 15 maps running an ice/lightning warp sorc. I followed the streamer Immortilize’s build guide. It uses chaos innoculation/mom/battery, with mana stacking and energy shield stacking on gear. It’s fun for clearing but lacking on boss damage. Does anyone know of a different meta build that uses similar stuff gear wise, that I could swap to and still keep most of my gear?

Hey, I have a amulet that gives my spells 28% damage and 3 level to the spell, it'll work with cast on? I put it on but the spells allocated at the buff, didn't get a +3 level, so, I presume that the spell damage ain't counting to the spell level?
unfortunately cast on is not a spell its a buff but keep the amulett for sure its worth a lot with those two mod
check the gem skill level inside cast on if it gets some buffs
like you see on mine, my cast on is still 15 but my inserted skill is 21

How tanky is the bloodmage compared to say, an invoker? I love messing around with leech, but I imagine it completely depends on how high you can scale life. You don't need a lot of pierce... Chain will destroy the first pack, but a bit of pierce (not 100%) is nice to kill off the packs behind it

Any suggestions on what is the most tanky class for end-game right now with 1. Not covering the screen in animations and 2. Not costing like 500+divine for 5 diff uniques to make it come online. I'm about 225 hours into Gemling Mercenary and the random 1 shots outta nowhere are just getting old, getting stuck not able to level up much and upgrades are so expensive it's starting to lose the fun aspect of grinding when I can spend like 5 hours, die once or twice and I gain basically nothing for spending most of my day playing D=

I noticed that in the spell details for damage over time spells, even those that don't have an initial hit (eg. contagion) it includes information regarding critical hit stats.
What portions of a dot does crit affect?
I believe in poe the dots that had an initial hit could crit (eg. if the initial hit crits, the entire dot crits for its duration)

Thunder has Elemental Focus and Inevitable Critical
Ghost Dance has no supports
Combat Frenzy has Profusion
Herald of Ice has Vitality and Magnified Effect (but it's the one I'm trying to activate)
Vitality has a 120% cost multiplier

I'm using fire spells. I have increased elemental damage, increased fire damage on the tree. Are these multiplicative with each other? Other two nodes I'm interested in is "35% increased damage with hits against burning enemies" and "15% increased damage for each type of elemental ailment on enemy". Are these additive or multiplicative with each other? and are they multiplicative with fire and elemental damage? I know "increased" is addition and "more" is multiplicative, but I heard if two different sentences contain "increased" such as "X% increased lightning damage" and "X% increased damage while affected by a herald, they are multiplicative with each other. Might be wrong though.

Hey so after my first Ascendency I chose Legionaire. However after my second ascendency it gave me the option AGAIN to choose between Witch Hunter and Legionaire. If I chose Witch Hunter after the 2nd Ascendency after picking Legionaire for the first, would it overwrite Legionaire?
I think that once you allocate a single point it will lock in your ascendancy forever (or until GGG puts in ascendancy repecs)
So I already had 2 points in Legionaire. When I completed Temple of Chaos for 2nd Ascendency it popped up with the two circles containing the different classes. It would let me select between them but I again selected Legionaire because I know how I want to build my class
But my buddy chose Acolyte of Chayula and is wondering when he completes Temple of Chaos what will happen if he picks the other option

The + to level stat on staves go up to +7 where it only goes to +5 on wands

I think blocking something plays a short animation as if you got stunned but take no damage so recovery probably speeds up that animation

How often should I exchange my equipment? I bought a whole set with exalted orbs at lv30 and now I'm nearing lv50 and I was thinking of spending exalteds again to get equipment specifically for my build. Is that a good idea?
as only way to do that is stacking phys as extra chaos but then you are wasting bunch of phys thats unconverted

I think you only get +23 from quests
Yeah, 100 from levels and 23 from quests. You should have 114 at level 91
im just confused why I only have 111 skill points when my math is saying i should have 114
Probably missed a 2 pointer from the acts
But i just rechecked and I've done all side quests and have the 24 weapon skill points
Hey, couple questions - In what ways can we add chaos damage to spells or convert spell damage to chaos damage? I know there is the 'Extraction' support that adds 25% of damage as extra chaos damage, at the cost of 10% life, but are there other ways? Can you get added chaos damage on gear? Second question, I was wondering, would the 10% life cost of 'Extraction' kill you if you are running Chaos Innoculation? What about if you are also running Mind Over Matter?
