I don't play sorc so I can't really help there, but my guess would be get Eternal Youth and use your potions to recharge it cuz why not

It depends on clvl, the displayed % goes down when you lvl because it's the estimated reduction against a mob at your level
What do you mean? I think the number of mods on an enemy correlates to their loot tho

the fact that my node just reads double the cost of your mana. You now have mana AND life issues. Grim feast is better than your node. HP scaling sucks anyway. Spell leech sucks in high tiers

Increased energy shield is local and only affects the shield/armor/boots etc its on. While % inc max is on jewels and increases your total total

Im at tier 10 maps with a build that has perfect resistances, playing ice sorc. My gear has lots of max life and mana perks. If I want to respec and put some points into energy shield, is there enough on the passive tree to give me a sufficient enough boost to es? So I can keep all my gear as is?
Okay ill do a number example:
You have 100% increased maximum energ yshield.
You have 1000 energy shield (500 base)
Youre getting a Focus with 100 base energy shield and getting a modifier with 100% incrased energy shield. This makes the base 200 energy shield.
you now have 700 base energy shield, up to 1400 total energy shield.
% increase to energy shield just applies to an item. If base is 100, and you have 20% on it then it becomes 120. % to max energy shield you'll find in a passive tree. It adds all your ES from items and multiplies that
you can also hold shift on the skill tree

I'm slapping electrocute on lightning warp along with combat frenzy + resonance + charge infusion to get a huge crit chance boost as well as stack electrocute with time freeze on bosses

Its literally as i said. The more ex you invest the better the gear. You can make due with very little, get a few ex, slowly upgrade your gear til cap res

then focus on bigger multi ex purchases on like, +spell weapons or necks
to just clear 13-15s can be cheap
then start investing divines into condensing multiple gear slots into one, getting more efficient slots, leaving other slots open for uniques that are big dps ups, or other ways to up your MS or other surviability tools
then with multiple divines you can start heavily investing into jewels, perfect skills etc
its literally poe, do whatever the frick you want

math example.
10% crit chance. 2x crit dmg. (effectively a 1.1x dmg multiplier)
You have 100 base dmg. And 500% increased damage, so youre dealing 600 damage. (or 660 average)
You could get another 50% more damage, pushing it to 650 damage (or 715)
You could get 50% increased crit chance, pushing it to 600 (or 690)
but then when you also get crit damage nodes
it starts kinda stacking up a LOT
On ryslatha's coil using it for a bleed build do i need high LESS minimum phys dmg or Lowest less minimum phys dmg?
I'm running invoker lightning monk and plan to get CI since I have around 1400 ES rn and can get more later with better gear and more nodes once I level. Is it better to focus energy shield recharge rate and start or is eternal youth a good passive? I did the math and I can get about 55% increased ES recharge rate, so that's about 19.375% per second, so around 5.3 seconds to fully recharge, and if I get 100% faster start, that's 1 second no damage to recharge, so 6 seconds to fully recharge if I've almost lost ES. Or is flask better? idk if they go up around 2k in later game, I'm level 53 rn

Okay, I'm pretty good at dodging but I'm in Act 2 cruel and reaching the point where a boss can slap me and I'm instantly being killed.
This is after I've gone through and upgraded my set. upgraded my armor, upgraded my weapon.
Most of my gear is at least level 45.
I have to be doing something wrong with my build because trying to do a no hit run on bosses is just rough.

You should look very carefully at your passive tree nodes and your support gems. Because the only way it would do that is if you took a node in your passive tree that switches the drain for Mp to Hp, or you put a support gem into the skill that does that.

How can I improve my damage and build in general? pretty new to the game, and expended more than 30+ tries in order to defeat the 2nd act boss
I feel like maps are quite easy right now, some bosses are difficult but not impossible, but it seems like for high HP bosses I struggle a lot, I think I do not do enough damage... could someone help me with my build?

it do not 20% max healt ignite DPS, in real it do 4% max healt ignite DPS, and its very low amount, if you want focus only on it.
(ignite deal 20% of base fire damage > base dmg is 20% of max healt = 0.2 * 0.2 = 0.04 max healt DPS)

I've got a lot of % increase regen but my base regen is so low that it barely does anything. (roughly +60% mana regen translates to mana +10 regen)

as long as it has this "melee" tag, it should work iirc. if you press g (pulls up the gems u got equpped) and the level for ur melee skills is blue and 1 higher than normal u can tell its working

yo question. i am trying out ranger right now. when i get hit from some ranged enemies my shooting animation gets canceled. for example when the snakes in the venom crypt spit the poison on me. Or when the blade dancers in jiquanis sanctum jump on to me. Does this count as a stun or as a hit? and do i counter this with stun thresh hold / recovery or just pure evasion?

ive only seen the archmage im building due to mana stacking and thats counting as EHP with MOM
use shockwave totems with jagged ground support for clear and perfect strike for bosses, +lvl gear is farmable just check all vendors every level in all towns and spam augments on all hammers that u find, utilize 2 weapon slots passives as much as u can since its op on totems
archmage scales crazy off of mana and thats basically HP with mind over matter and energy shield with everlasting gaze amulet

u put all totem nodes in 1 slot and either all armor or all melee dmg in other depending if you are hc or sc
in endgame i just hold resonate shield with movement support which makes you borderline immortal with small ms penalty

You can invest in duration but also in cast speed
If you ignite every 2 seconds that'll also mitigate the issues of the ring
also another tech with weapon swap on totems is to put all +str % reduced max mana on your weapon set that is NOT related to totems, that way when you swap away from totems ull get much smaller mana pool and can easier replanish it which results in full mana when u cast ur totems again, helps a lot tot sustain my lvl 38 900 mana cost totems

it doesnt reduce max life per se, but youre losing 25% of hp pool
You have the same max life, but you cant heal above 75%

I've just started a ranger, which I'm planning on using crossbows on. I've seen people mention that levelling with crossbows doesn't feel too great and that you want some passive tree investment before you swap to them from bows. Which passives are important before making the switch? Reload speed ones?

if you are close to warrior u can grab 3 point cluster with 3% max hp and str, and that should be enough for endgame stun threshold

It's a multiplier on your chance, yeah
there is bunch on tree + jewels
But it's not that strong because there's only 30% bleed chance on the tree in witch's area, so you'd need like 250% increased ailment chance to cap your bleed chance
not much on the north side of the tree
you can get like 7% bleed chance on jewels
but you need a LOT of jewels
it feels like they just... forgot to add some bleed stuff in
idk why blood mage has a rainbow bleed node
and then there's like 0 spell bleed support

Gas Arrow (actually using the gas, not exploding it) is just so smooth for clear, and then I'll be swapping to crossbows in a while using the gloves for all damage can poison
And then Plasma Blast for single-target, Galvanic Shards for clear

Its literally every time your feet touch the ground (This means the Faridun mtx makes you unable to activate it)

I mean stampede is good because its a movement skill that has good clear + works for stomping ground

With some different passives for each
I feel like weapon set passives are something that have a lot more to them than people have really explored so far
Especially Witchhunter with its 2348973214 weapon set passives
