What is currently the strongest possible minmaxxed damage sorceress build?
you can delete entire groups with 2 button presses with grenadier no problem. And boss damage is very solid, and safe to put out

you don't necessarily need all of them. Basic frag and explosive shot will be your bread and butter. I also use gas for armor break, and extra booms. And flash as utility
that's pretty much the easiest grenadier build, super easy to use. 2 buttons 90% of the time

yea it's good but immolate doesn't work on my ice strike somehow. i put the immolate on and off and hit g when I attack to see if my damage change any but it doesn't

Are there any projectile spells that benefit disproportionately from levels? I'm thinking of trying to cook up a widowhail + projectile skill level on quiver build with gemling, and then using that to benefit a spell
There are a couple more instances of fake ailments not working properly, like stormweaver's double shock

is ignite getting applied? You might not be passing the ailment threshold if it isn't visibly on. Might need + ignite chance mods if this is the issue.

Well Blood Barbs lets any elemental skill work. But yeah, it does feel like there's a bit of lack of support for phys spells and bleed in general

True, but you only have to spend a couple of points to get to them. The bigger issue that I'm trying to figure out is how to reach 100% bleed chance
It seems like jewels is the only realistic way
There's only 30% bleed chance in the witch area of the tree
there is unique body armor that gives like 20% chance to bleed on hits
And then a small amount of %increased chance to apply ailments, which is a multiplier for bleed chance
why doesnt barrage work with freezing salvo? doesnt increase the amount of projectiles at all

And the bleed chance support gem obviously only works for one skill
on my warrior tho it was good tho i had bleed chance as well on my stamped and also i have all the nodes that gives bleed chance, like 90% of the time all the enemies were bleeding
Yeah, there's some support for bleed chance in the warrior area of the tree, but that's pretty difficult to path to for a spell witch
The small node before Blood Barbs gives 15% bleed chance on critical

I'm not sure how I feel about that. Even if you could reach 100% crit chance, you still need to find 85% bleed chance elsewhere
And blood mage has crit support if you ever get to 8 ascendancy points
I also don't know how I feel about that, because taking Blood Barbs + the crit stuff means you have no points for leech and/or Grasping Wounds
I really want to make bleed Blood Mage work but it feels so difficult
how do people balance mana? My max skill gem would probably be lvl 30 and cost like 250+ mana a pop. If I wasn't a Pathfinder idk how the hell I'd have enough mana to sustain that.

There are a bunch of spells that guarantee ignites - flame wall, incinerate, solar orb. So I guess it's not fully wasted. But I can't say how ignite chance feels outside of those

You use a fire skill, it summons raging spirits for you automatically, they inflict wither for you

thats level 12 decompose it goes up to 18 on the item and + spell skills + chaos skills count towards level

Unless it scales ridiculously high, it's really not much. Look at how much a similar level Flame Wall ignites for in comparison - and Flame Wall isn't a particularly strong skill
Decompose's poison scales like crazy but the explosion is snzzz

For example, I want:

Obviously I can't have all of those on 1 item. But how do I filter it to only pull from that list?
when i use this unique it says your critical damage bonus is 300% but when i go to my skill it only says 200% am i doing something wrong?
it's the same hehe having 100% base +200% is having 300%

i seem to have messed up my munk build combat frenzy no longer creates charges? i still have node on passive skill tree but nothing seems to get it back to working is there anything that you can think of that negates the effect?
can anyone explain to me what the best spark supports are?
i know in poe 1 you want as much proj speed and duration as possible so they can hit multiple times
but do i need it in poe2 since max pierce is 1 and only alternatives would be fork or +1 chain from tree (if chain works at all)

yo you also need skill frenzy gem to get it to work. you also need to freeze enemies

Any idea why Cast on Freeze works with a lvl 12 Comet gem but not a lvl 13 comet gem? I have 60 spirit exactly. CoF costs 60 spirit? There doesn't seem to be any spirit cost associated with comet that I can see. Error reads "Not enough spirit" with lvl 13 gem but no error with lvl 12 gem.

i'm able to keep 50% increased damage from having my life at full easily with temporal rift, I have a lot of evasion and ES, any time I take a hit temporal rift is off cd so I basically have permanent energy shield lol
just wish I didn't have to wait like 10 more levels for 3rd trial T_T. I'll have 83% life recoup over 3.5s

Hi I was wondering if Incan bounce some ideas of you guys of what support gems to use. I and doing an internalist witch build with fireball as the focus. I have unleashed, scattershot, wildcards, and thinking of fork as well not sure. Though the issue is that all these suppers decrease the damage so I was wondering what would be the best support to offset the damage decrease to try and boost the damage back up again.

There is a skill tree node called "Cull the Hordes" It's description reads "25% increased Culling Strike threshold"
Is this additive or multiplicative? Does the threshold for bosses(Uniques) go from 5% to 30%? or 5% to 6.25%?
I think it's multiplicative, being reasonable. Otherwise combined with decimating strikes in witch hunter tree you'd be instakilling almost anything with any instance of damage

depends on the highest base dmg for the damage type on the staff, if you’re going elemental then skills convert phys to elemental anyway

The witch infernalist build goes off making the fireball constantly split endlessly so section of the map is literally endless fireballs and it melts.
Though a lot of the supports decrease the fireballs damage but it makes up for it by the shear number of them that are bouncing around all over the area you are in. You will anywhere between 100-1000 of little fireballs everywhere.

Add in skeletal arsonists throwing grenades and you will see a sea of explosions and fire

For witch you can use a staff (2handed), wand and scepter or wand and shield or scepter and shield. I prefer scepter and shield.

Can someone help me understand how scaling works with conversion and increased elemental damage with attacks?
I understand how boosting physical damage prior to conversion with a skill like incendiary shot works, the higher the phys, the more it does prior to the conversion
What I don't understand is how increased elemental damage with attacks works. Is it worse because it only acts on the 80% rather than the full 100%? In other words, it goes physical damage increase -> conversion -> elemental damage increase?
I saw summon that had like 16 minions and just had fire everywhere
This allows me to aura an ability for free, large amount of spirit, defend, and still free up a gem slot since the scepter has the aura I want anyways and not waste a gem slot for a useless attack.
Yeah that’s probably the same build I’m doing. Fire everywhere and minions to support the sea of fire and hold off enemies as a buffer between me and them. The down fall of witches is being squishy

Hi team. I have been playing ice monk and enjoying it. Recently some friends have finished cruel and we are doing maps but I find that my monk is designed to fly fast and 1 shot everything so group play is not as fun as we would like.
I would like to design a build for my monk that basically instantly freezes everything on screen (even off screen) and is very tanks, but does little damage. I hope it will keep them safe by freezing everything and then allow them to do the killing.
How would you go about this?

you can achieve that through one pair of gloves, you can do it with heralds and skill tree but they are very conditional
and in a boss fight you would most likely only be doing one type, or mostly one

the ilvl matters more than the req level (which is a consequence of the mods/base)

There are passive nodes that do stuff when you crit. Example:
100% faster start of energy shield* means energy shield delay drops from 4 seconds to 2 seconds right?
I'm pretty sure there's special nodes for reducing delay
recharge rate just means how fast it goes once it started charging

what do you mean int for dps? Attributes don't increase damage of anything in PoE2 by default

If I put lockdown support on a minion ('supported skills have 120% more pin buildup against enemies within 2 metres of you, scaling to no chance at 12 metres'), is the distance of 2 metres actually calculated from me or from the minion inflicting the pin?

Best choice is like Flat phy + % phy for poison build but then you're better off with flat phy bow with 20% phy runes.

Hold alt over the item. It's likely that you're seeing 1 modifier that has 2 parts. The faint T# on the right could expand across 2 of the mods

As you go through the acts you get resistance debuffs. So you can go into the negative if you have no resistances on your gear
It means you will take extra damage from that damage type
Rings and runes are the easiest way to get some resistances rolling. Sitting at -40% is going to make maps hell

Unleash + eye of winter = instant 10 stack of critical weakness single target. Though I often press the button twice to make up for imperfect aim.
Ring that gives chain + chain support and now the entire pack has it stacked.
Since you said critical weakness is effectively added to base crit, that means my stat sheet 60% bonestorm is already at 100% Crit :D
I’m mostly typing this because it’s hard to search “does critical weakness” apply before or after increased critical strike chance.

i am playing as witchhunter and kind of soft stuck against a boss in act2 cruel right now. i use against bosses HVR with doppelbarell, fresh clip and scattershot atm, but need to improve my damage output, want to stick to this build as long as possible. i run out of flasks before i can get him. Would bleeding get my changes for bossing better? mobing isnt the problem right now.

I'm still in Act 2, sorc, and getting one-shotted by Rudja. I tried ember+wall+spirits, spark+wall or arc builds, but nothing stands out for more dps and even with some fire resist I still get one shotted by this boss.

I have a storm weaver archmage that uses “damage taken as mana before life” from the passive tree and jewels. That and my capped res make me pretty tanky against elemental damage. For physical damage, I only have the 40% damage to mana as mitigation. What ways can I gain some physical damage tankiness that I’m missing?

crescendo, ruthless, rage, cold pen (if you dont have it on the tree cold pen for sure otherwise not really). you can replace cold infusion if you have other elemental damage too and just go rage or whatever else. if you use combo points there's also the support for that.

as a general rule, any aoe that has a telegraph (e.g. you can see the animation of the attack coming out and can walk/roll out of the area in a reasonable amount of time) cannot be evaded, because the game expects you to GTFO
but acrobatics lets you just stand in those (if you feel like rolling the dice - i still wouldn't because those attacks tend to do a LOT of damage and potentially oneshot you, so rolling the dice to see if you live or die is not ideal)
I was thinking of going all in on a support aura/cursebot build:
- Get discipline to provide shield to allies
- max out mana on gear
- get all mana recharge + curse + energy shield
- as much spirit, maybe 3 curses and 2 auras

I think you guys are confusing information that has been put out for dodge with how evasion works. Dodge roll can evade all projectiles including spells, evasion only attacks (anything that needs accuracy to hit, which spell projectiles do not).
ingame tooltips say evade strikes and projectiles, and projectiles are defined as attack or spell in the explanation for that
