And you don’t need a yellow. Grab every normal xbow near your level and craft it to blue. Wait until you hit good added physical and extra damage then sacrifice a goat and regal/exalt slam

Currently building stormweaver build with lightning, whats a good wand. Cause currently theres no wand that competes with my lvl 6 just because of the +3 levels in skill gems

How does freezing enemies work ?
I have 120% increase freeze buildup from my nodes, I use Ice Strike and normal mobs get fronzen very hard.
What am I missing ?
It is possible, but you'll still want SRS at the early, since those are considered minions and benefit from your passives

At 120% freese buildup I would expect any cold damage to freeze any type of enemy

My understanding is that every skill that deals ice dmg has a chance to freeze. If the mobs don't freeze, they gain a 'freeze buildup' debuff that makes it so the next freeze dmg you deal will have an increased chance at freezing them
Some skills are better at freezing enemies
For example, Ice Strike converts 80% of your phys dmg to cold, so those other 20% are not contributing to freezing at all

Yeah which sucks trying to balance wether you've got enough shock chance or not you really have to just base it off of feeling until someone manages to do the math
Because it's based off of your dmg vs the enemies resistance threshold to elemental ailments calculating it would be a case by case basis dependant on each enemy type
So even a POB wouldn't calculate it very well
Well, if buildup is calculated before chance to shock, it won't be so bad with some skills

Base damage vs resistance which gives you a number then that number would be affected by chance to ailment which is basically a threshold of does it ailment or does it not, then finally the number would be converted into a buildup which is then finally increased

I know that maps with mob elemental resist are a bad time because the shock takes a lot longer to land

yeah in maps i shock literrally everything but i think sanctum mobs have some extra modifiers because i shot a randm white mob multiple times and no shock so i just ended up killing it before shocking
tooltips are a bit confusing tbh, its a lot easier for me to understand when its turned into maths for some reason
rechecked and quarterstafs have diff naming so, hard to say if applied to quarterstafs too

I can't really explain increase but it comes pretty early in the calculation hence why if you look around a lot in skill tree you will see increased damage literally everywhere but you see gain as extra and more literrally no where or on ascendancies or items

Google is your friend but you should try just rawdogging it. If you hit a wall then go look at builds. Fair warning, GGG may nerf any meta build that is OP. They have done it to a few in the first week already

That is the damage. It ignites an enemy 1 time, then that ignites does damage. Then only a higher damage ignite will replace it to do damage before, otherwise the rest don't do anything.

Ok so I have a question about mechanics that I need a solid answer to...If you pick up stuff to pierce enemies, and you use a skill that combines the hits from a shotgun to 1 enemy if they hit the same enemy, does the pierce make them not combine?

Do you gain max amount of frenzy charges then convert into power charges or does it change the skill that generates frenzy charges into power charges? With that same line of thinking does frentic work with resonance where you have a 5% chance to gain maximum amount of frenzy charges.

i think the rare monster nodes are very powerful. Waystones nodes are good adn will get you more waystones on average but because you can always kill boss map and they seem to drop 2-3 waystones of high tier i don't think they are worth prioritizing

I don’t really reload. Frag shot is for clean up and culling only. Later I might add life leech to it. But I have the reload on stun support gem and the skill to auto reload so if it needs to be reloaded it almost never happens manually unless between pulls of trash.

you can't "double dip" on damage.
if you hit for 100 fire damage, you get a 20 dps ignite.
if you get 50% increased fire damage, you hit for 150 and get a 30 dps ignite. the increased fire damage only applies to the hit, which indirectly buffs the ignite. ignite only directly scales with magnitude

it's is really strong against bosses, work up towards getting the stun bar full > boneshatter to force it (consider armor break on heavy stun support) then warcry + some kind of slam
perfect strike is quite nice as well

if you struggle you could try to farm some levels in some of the more calmer zones
like the farmlands or something
but in the end you'll need to get used to the playstyle of trying to dodge and timing your attacks
until you can tank some hits
once you get the hang of it is genuinely really strong, you can absolutely demolish all bosses (in the campaign at least)

if you're talking about gas arrow/grenade, its not a detonator on its own in the same way as like explosive bolt, but it ignites enemies which ignite the gas when they touch it
Does % increased phys damage on your weapon affect your base physical damage? i.e. does it contribute to "gain % phys damage as extra x damage"? Or is that mod doing the same thing as % increased phys damage from other sources?
if i have 100% reduced damage does having any increased counter act that? idk if it still keeps your base value or it does it in a progressive manner
if its the same as poe 1, increased directly subtracts from reduced
for example, you could have 100% reduced effect of curses, but an enemy with 20% increased effect of curses would apply their curse at 20% total effect

My warrior lvl 26 is hard stuck on bosses with multiple build changes. Anybody recommend a new class?
shouldn't be hard stuck as warrior, but they are a bit more gear dependent than others. Spell builds in general may have an easier time leveling
when my first warrior started falling behind I invested a bit in shockwave totem since it has its own weapon
chronomancer, its funnily enough tankier than warrior lol

yeah 1h block has damage issues, and if you don't have good sustain its an even bigger issue
you can either go for more damage or spec into enough regen or leech to not need to rely on potions

yeah, I mean really just going to the vendor, identifying the best base weapon for your level, buying that weapon, and transmuting + augmenting a few until you get one with decent stats, then adding a socket to it with artificers orb if it doesn't already have one
I did try 2h first but block was recommended with 1h shield at low level I guess for sustain health
I honestly think block is much worse until much later
dual wield or 2h will probably treat you better

let's say a character without any passives allocated uses a bow that deals 100 chaos dmg
you then get 100% inc projectile dmg, thus you'll deal 200 chaos dmg
what happens when you take 100% inc chaos dmg? you'll deal 300 or 400?
for warrior, or another class? if you want less gear dependence, you could try a fire infernalist
this is the mace I built in act 1/2 on my first warrior that got me through act 3

what happens when you cast essence drain and a dot is applied that is enhanced by consuming a debuff with ailment drain but then you cast another essence drain and it doesnt consume a debuff? does the less powerful DOT overwrite the currently existing enhanced DOT?
yeah, in all honesty if you can find any 2 socket quarterstaff and put 2 storm runes in it, youll be in pretty good shape

step 1.) target is poisoned
step 2.) target gets hit with essence drain supported by drain ailments support which makes the dot portion do 35% more damage
step 3.) target is no longer poisoned
step 4.) target gets hit with another NON-enhanced essence drain
step5.) does the newer weaker essence drain overwrite the previously existing empowered essence drain from step 2?
can't say for sure, but most damaging debuffs in PoE only take into account the 'most damaging one'
in truth, both are affecting the target, but only 1 deals damage
I'd say thats almost definitely the case
oh so what is left of the stronger one will do its damage and you will lose a few seconds/milliseconds of the weaker debuff
and then when the stronger one fades the weaker one will take over

that mens that timeline has 3 seconds, and each debuff lasts 2 seconds

the target will keep taking the highest damaging one until the first debuff falls off
then the dmg from the 'low dmg one' will kick in for the remainder of the duration
but i am correct in assuming part of the low damage one will be lost
the part that would have done damage while the high damage one still exists
between second 1 and 2 yes, the low dmging one will not be dealing dmg
because it always considers the one that deals the highest dmg
recoup isn't counted there right ?
the game always says you only have 1 debuff on the enemy, but on the 'backend' you can actually stack infinite debuffs, each with their own duration
the game only 'ticks damage' from the one that deals the highest dmg
its a good system, because it means that your 800 damage debuff with .1 seconds left doesnt keep you from applying a 700 damage debuff with 10 seconds duration, and it means that the enemy doesn't suddenly stop taking damage despite recently applying a new, lesser debuff
does this means that if my attack does 1000 damage, it will do 1020-1031 damage with the ring?
that's neat because the method i play essentially results in both empowered and non-empowered essence drains being active at the same time always so it just always ignores the weaker one in favor of the stronger one

Do you know how Resonance and Lust for power work together ? I'm running combat frenzy so i'm gaining power charges instead but will i get maximum Endurance charge instead of maximum power charges with lust for power ?
