I was wondering if the ascendancy keystone avidity "30% chance that if you gain a frenzy charge you gain your max amount of frenzy charges" would work with resonance "convert frenzy charges into power charges". Do you gain max amount of frenzy charges then convert into power charges or does it change the skill that generates frenzy charges namely snipers mark into power charges? With that same line of thinking does frentic work with resonance where you have a 5% chance to gain maximum amount of frenzy charges.
Hello all. I have two questions. So Im a frost sorc, learning as I go instead of using build guide. I dont really use freezing shards to freeze, I do it with my skills. I just see my weapon as a way to boost cold damage with modifier. I found a Sigil of power staff with good cold damage buff on it. My question is, could I use the sigil of power to do more cold snap damage on bosses throughout the fight as long as I freeze them within the sigil? Or is spell damage different than cold damage?
Or does just have freezing shard give the 50% more freeze build up effect?

On the one hand, this skill applies poison, and the reduction in damage from hits should not affect the damage from the poison, on the other hand, any support gems that reduce damage from hits, reduce the dot dps in the tooltip, such as deadly poison

a good few of them, High velocity round and galvanic shards at the moment but galvanic shards don't need to be used like a shotgun, planning to use the lightning machinegun as primary when i can unlock it

Has anyone figured out how multiple projectiles and crossbow work when it comes to high attack speed? It shoots multiple projectiles in sequence and it looks like that sequence doesn't have the same speed as your attack speed, you don't end up shooting all those multiple projectiles in the same attack time as a single shot. Would I reach a point where this is a dps loss with a crossbow machinegun?
Is armor quality additive with armor's "Increased armor" or is it multiplicative? Cuz if it's additive with "increased armor" I should I look for high +armor low increase %

tooltip dps probably doesn't do a good job of estimating enemy resistance since that can vary a lot

penetration is not calculated on the DPS because it depends on the enemy, and penetration cant go below 0 of enemy res. so if enemy res is 50% and you have 30% pen enemy is calculated as 20% res. If enemy res is 20% and you have 30% pen enemy is calculated as 0% res.

Yeah pretty much. I mean there's a case for getting elemental pen, but 1 curse covering 6-8 skill points just makes more sense

It will still benefit from gem level increase of the original elemental type, then gets converted to whatever element you convert it to, the converted element scales only from that element and not the original element.

Well, in poe 1 damage conversion is the best defense, phys to elemental or elemental to phys, etc. You then focus on layers upon layers of defense on that instead of spreading it on everything. Not sure how to do that in poe 2 though
Probably something like 40% phys to fire from unique body armour + max block + infernalist ascendancy that converts phys to chaos + more max elemental res.

Yes, some of the tankiest build rn is using recoup, for example minion infernalist is using MoM + EB + Mana recoup for defense

bloodmage sounds awful for bossing, life remnant only drops every 2 seconds and youre casting like hundreds mana per second

like that act 1 boss on cruel, just stood there holding 1 button down and won

i have reach nearly 210 mana regen but it still don't really work out? am i missing anything or should i redo my passive and just follow the "meta" build? i am a Infernalist currently using focus and not shield by the way
210 mana regen isn't a lot. Things hit hard in this game, face tanking with regen is really hard. Need a lot of mitigation too.
try recoup instead of flat mana regen

Also skills themselves cost a lot of mana, so the amount of mana regen you need to tank with MoM is actually a lot more than the amount of life or ES regen you need to face tank

Yes, but I:m not sure what. In PoE mana recovery would have been multiplicative with mana regen and affected all things that restore mana. Someone did math on reddit and it seemed like it's not multiplicative here, not clear how it works

Flat would be something like PoE1 clarity where it adds a fixed amount of regen to your base. Increased mana regen is still a percent, not a flat.
so you can never reach max wither with just withering presence
but with malice you just reach 10% for free
