It's dependent on the item and wording, not to be rude. As for iron ring, it is applied before the attack damage % calculation for your attack skill so it is applied before the conversion because it is added to your weapon's damage
And when it appears on armors and weapons? because its writed the same way

Those aren't phys so they do not get converted if the skill is converting physical to elemental, it just gets throughput into the attack dmg calculation as the element stated, but it is applied to your weapon dmg before the attack dmg % like iron ring does

I literally explained that despite not having gloves that give physical dmg to take a ss, I saw them having the exact description than the ones I send, but for physical instead of ligthning/fire

No, this is why the item is contextual because added dmg affixes on weapon are local, which only apply to your weapon damage

They could just specific "To damage" or "to weapon damage" since the weapon is the point of reference skill uses to calculate their dmg as a %

if that's the case probably gonna grab solar orb , since my hellhound already inflicts ignite
its based of distance at 2m or less youre basically garenteed to hit, but if your playing ranger or merc thats ranged you need a decent amount of accuracy or you wont deal damage. not positive how it works with spells but im pretty sure they cant miss
might as well have a 2nd source for it
Ignite will just take the highest amt of ignite, which is based on the hit dmg, ignite doesnt stack inherently

not that worried tbh , i mostly just stack as much chaos as i can while doing poison + bleed using skeletal snipers
the ignite was mostly as a supplement by the hellhound and an extra source is more of a precaution since i do exploding gas

Well, it takes any elemental damage and evenly splits into all 3, useful if you want to be able to apply all 3 corresponding ailments or apply exposure for all elements.

I'm confused why people were saying Pyromantic Pact is bad, I have this ratio of HP / Shield, and 75% Fire res:
I only lose about 1/2 shield when I fill the suicide globe, so not even 1/4 of my total effective health
Doggo eats 20% of it as well
Which barely hurts it because it also has high Fire res
All I need to do is overcap Fire res and I will have infinite mana without mana regen 😛

I have 1293 combined health + ES right now, my pup has this:
so as a witch hunter with 3 links on most of my skills, I set it up as follows:
Explosive Grenade - scattershot, fire infusion, primal armament
Gas Grenade - Corrosion, Inspiration, fire penetration
Oil Grenade - persistence, strip away, maim
Flash Grenade - overpower, ruthless, magnified effect.

Yes, it is Fire dmg so anything that reduces enemy resistance to Fire will increase Ignite dmg, that is usually the main way to increase it

attributes doesnt give dmg themselves only if the ability/ or skill tree scales from it but for the most part attributes are there for meeting your gem requirements

Guys, do you think it is possible to play totems warbringer in maps? As what works in camp doesnt necesarily work in maps.
If you hover over them youll see that they give life/str, evasion rating/dex and Energy shield/int. In general you want to scale your main attribute depending on what you use and secondary to be str if its not primary since str gives bit of life and on the third one is to just meet support gem slot req
is anyone playing gas arrow poison pathfinder? it feels really close to being strong but i just cant figure out how to maximize dps with how weirdly the skills work. i wish the chaos dmg bow base were less useless 😭

I was bored of using me minions 😦 Ranger looks fun. Demon form was actually cool and had mobility but the Cast on... Nerfs are brutal. I understand them. But you can't nerf things and not make other things better.

How important do people feel it is to make builds around the class's default weapon? Looking at some of the ascendancy sub-classes, they didn't seem to be very (or at all) weapon specific, and there only seem to be a small number of weapon-specific passives. For example, what would stop one building a warrior around the staff and staff skills?

PF poison is different since you can apply 8 stacks, you probably just use any of the intrinsic poison skills for that

After picking up this cluster of nodes I can no longer kill myself by filling the suicide globe, my ES regen starts fast enough and refills fast enough that I can't make any damage stick
Every time I explode my ES is already full again
This might change when I have 6 links on something worth spamming, but I'll also have a lot more max mana by then, so it will take proportionally longer to fill the globe

The build still works perfectly fine. People just don't want to actually think about how to build it. If you don't get a comet every frostbolt you cast its too hard 😂
I'm running along grouping each pack and dropping a comet on them with CoF no problems. Because of the way the changes work, bosses are almost unaffected. The build is still amazing. You just have to tweak a few things for more energy to make the trash clear work.

clear is mainly with ice bomb + ice wall + frost bolt + cold snap, the comets are just bonuses that melt the pack when they happen. bossing feels exactly the same, bosses drop very fast
and another question, let's say I have +50% increased fire damage, an attack that deals 100 physical + 50 fire damage (because of partial conversion), and that attack states "+20% damage as extra fire damage", how much the extra fire damage will be ?
100 physical + (50 fire x 1.5), plus extra 175 x 0.2(20% extra) x 1.5(increased fire damage) ?
so 227.5 ?

why do some items have a lot of affixes on them, but if I try to add another affix to like a magic item that only has 1 it says I can't put more affixes on it?
you need to regal it

magic items (blue) can ony have one suffix and one prefix, rare items(yellow) can have 3 suffix and 3 prefix
thats not what I mean. some magic items just already have like 2 affixes. but if i try to put an additional affix on a magic item that only has one affix it says there is no room

Oh you can also drop the ice wall minus HP from raxx build IMO. I use the wall to stay up for a couple seconds to keep the enemies on the frost bomb.

What happens when a blood mage takes the passive that turns mana cost into health cost? Will a spell that previously cost 50 mana (and 50 life due to bloodmage) cost 100 life 0 mana, or 50 life 0 mana?

my main spell is lvl 7 so it costs nothing, and implicit skills like chaos bolt from withered wand cost 0 mana by default

Given that altered flesh takes 20% physical damage as chaos damage, since EB changes Energy Shield (ES) to Mana and MoM makes it such that all damage is taken from Mana before Life, I assume chaos damage will not deal double damage to my Mana since its not ES anymore?

Can i assume those nodes will still contribute to my ES pool and are converted to Mana? All other ES interactions will not longer work though? (e.g. ES recharge rate)

From what I understand, if you have %increased ES mods, these do not apply if you convert the ES to say mana via EB.
That is intended.
One interaction that seems unintended however, is that if you convert other things into ES (for example Life into ES via Atziris Disdain), that ES does not get converted into Mana via EB, which is strange.

Frost wall fireball cast on freeze cold snap w/ blueflame bracers. So far it's been clearing almost everything act 1 cruel easily, maybe that'll change into endgame but so far it feels only slightly worse than comet. Once I get more spirit in act 3 cruel I'll be using cast on crit comet, cast on freeze cold snap and blasphemy temporal chains

Honestly my frost wall+fireball cleared act 3 easy, everything just got deleted from it alone with occasional ice bombs on bosses. It could be an equipment or passive issue, which are both easy to solve. If the equipment needs improvement you can improve it via trading (many people are underpricing some very good items right now) and blueflame bracers are practically essential for the build I'm running (which also are super underpriced at just 1 exalt), and passives are just respecing.

It's not needed, but it's a huge difference because you can take anything that increases fire damage in any way and convert it to cold, and it means every firebolt causes freeze buildup instead of ignite
Literally just offhand the weapon, you have 2 weapon slots for a reason
Use a staff in main and a quarterstaff in off, build combo and then use quarterstaff to drop a bell and spam it

The bracers will make firebolt do freeze buildup instead, and most of your damage is the ice walls rather than the firebolts
As for the walls, yeah you'll definitely want both ice crystal life and icicle support gem first because that's the only way you can delete all your walls. You'll also want to have spell cascade on your ice walls to make more of them quickly

Ice mage still works, but things will need moved around. If you hard-leaned comet cast on freeze, you'll want to use a less-expensive spell in the place of comet or lean to hard-casting with blasphemy cold aura

Guys. Playing monk. I find that executing skill that collect charges very annoying to use. Most of the time the enemies are just dead before I collect charges.
Is there any way to collect charges automatically, or on enemy death, or even charges that generate automatically ?

No, they'd both be effectively the same unless you have ways to gain back es. Recovery is both the rate at which you get it back and if you gain it in some other way (such as leech stealing es from enemies) while recharge doesn't apply to anything else at all. If you can only get one, recovery is always better.
frost is still good for me, just use meteor manually and use COF for cold snap, still crushing enemies^^

Cast on Critical Strike now also cares about the Damage of the hit when determining how much energy to gain to prevent the use of high-crit low level skills, this should mean using lower hit frequency skills that hit harder are also now much stronger for this. thx hot fix

after the fire wall debacle is literally unplayable, not only did they nerf the explosiond amage as a "temporary fix", they now take the ignite into account so the explosions do even less damage but they didn't revert the damage nerf
so the "temporary fix" turned into a double nerf, as expected
gotta get hotfixed

for sorc comet, you can still use it if u have a lot of spirit and can slot like 4 CoF, otherwise just swap it for coldsnap for now, boss damage is still rlly strong, but aoe clear is pretty bad

i didnt even care about cast on freeze for bosses. i had to self cast frost wall or self cast comet anyway (on blood mage). but they dont want me to kill white mobs fast i guess
it works if you invest in mana now, and obvvs are pretty late into the game

you can coldsnap like every 3-5 white mobs or smth, compared to comet which is like every 30 now

its actually not bad to just have CoF, with comet on hotbar and just spam coldsnap by urself, clear actually isnt awful this way
Except for when you get to higher tier mapping and get 1 tapped if you stop moving for half a second 
freezing is what keeps me alive. if i cant 1 shot mobs until freeze is over, its problematic
we'll see, ill try something, but doesnt look great on paper

Its not '90%', it depends on what kind of enemy youre facing

it didnt effect bosses as CoX now depends on the enemy type, bosses still give 100% energy

if i had curses on "cast on minion death" and i also add "heightened curse support" (25% increased effect of supported curses) will the curses be casted with heightened curses?

you could but you would only increase the elemental damage after the fact, I believe, not sure tho

when you hold 'Alt' and read 'Hits' you can read that everything is a hit, except dots

leech is buffed might be good for bloodmage now
Subtracem had a cool tech where he used solar flare so that he could refreeze. Because sometimes cold snap didn’t kill and then I can’t refreeze but that might help
