Chance is not same as applied effect
well the chance to shock is based on the lightning damage. Higher lightning damage = higher chance

he means that if you hit for more you will have bigger chance of applying the shock

And more dmg makes you clear faster instead of shocking more (but more dmg also makes you shock more)
i noticed my freeze suddenly get very inconsistent halfway through a3 cruel too, i had to put a damage gem on my frostbolt to fix it

well yea with ailment conversion you can change the cold condition to whatever other damage type, but the point still stands. you cant just stick a cold skill into your build without getting freeze buildup mods and stuff

Well if youre not going into more cold dmg, you wont have a high chance to freeze. Your cold dmg is linked to your chance to freeze
Unless you go and get a lot of freeze buildup
but even then youre increasing a low number

man pretty much 90% of my gear at lvl71 is the same gear I was using in A3 normal

If you click the dps arrow and scroll to the bottom you can assign/unassign skills to weapon sets. You might be able to uncheck both for things you want to never activate
Magnification (the aoe one) and either persistence for duration or swift affliction for more damage

DE with withering touch, despair self cast, temp chains blasphemy (dont have to cast but have to manage the area to keep buffs up), Contagion, ED, Profane ritual, and im using lightning warp for the free 20% shock ground

i wish that when searching for poison on the passive tree, it could also show me nodes that work with posion but doesnt specifically mention it. Like theres a node called "fast acting toxins" that makes ailments do dmg faster, but searching for "poison" doesnt find it. but searching for "ailments" also show every single elemental ailment node

So far i run Unique Chest that converts half of my HP to Energy shield. And boots with 20hp regen. Barely keeps up with Demon Form drain

I was looking through Acolyte of Chayula Monk, found barely anything cause of a lack of chaos skills that make sense for a monk playstyle, but I found this:
"Hand of Chayula" - applies socketed marks and curses
and general occult
"Hexblast" - well.. its hexblast, remove curses on target, make explosion

I think you can change the act 2 emblem reward by going there and swapping. As for checking I think you can open the world map with U and mouse over all the + icons to see what you got
Im looking for a way to build power charges easy, so I can use on boss and mobs. Right now I am using the bows Marked skill to apply a mark and generate a frenzy charge on crit that gets converted to a power charge via passive skill tree. I want a way to guarantee a single critical hit. Best way I found is for a support gem that crit at full health. but applying the mark puts the enemy away from full health. Is there a way to remove damage from my bow or marked skill gem?
And what about the other ones, there is some quest that gave extra spirit option no?

Yes. And I'm saying the secondary quest rewards are visible on the map screen and denoted by the greyed out icons with + symbols next to them.

Yes, I only said to hover over that so you can see what the '+' icon looks like. Then you go through acts 1-6 and mouse over all the symbols with that + icon to see what you got from each quest

Depends on the final numbers and your gear. I'd wager that crit gets exponentially better as you get more base chance and crit damage nodes. Lightning scales harder early

Just be sure to hold alt and read as much as you can. Especially later on. Early game refunding points is easy, but later on it gets costly. Learn as much as you can

I can see a cold/freeze buildup playstyle could be strong since I'm on warrior and focusing full stun buildup so I run in right click (basic attack) and that's enough to proc my bones hatter which clears enemies and even if it doesn't it usually stuns them so I can reposition or attack again so I'm sure a freeze focused build could be similar

It looks like you might have been trying to allocate a weapon set node but not anymore. You have one free main point. Try to allocate it
when you swap to your other tree you lose the bonuses from said tree instantly

yeah this looks decent to me 👍 nothing big I would really changer here at all, I do think you're underestimating these 5 mace cluster nodes though, first 3 mainly but 4th and 5th are strong too,although they are only good for bossing really so if you only want mobbing then yeah skiå them, I also do think one single point in rage on hit is worth, because as I said just one point can be enough to fully stack rage, it's unlikely but the potential reward is insane for a single skill point if it does happen

To add on, if you leave just set 1 checked, it will swap to set 1 if you're on set 2 upon using that skill. So if you want to only use a skill with a certain weapon set, uncheck the one you don't want.

Okay, yeah, it looks like the str node to the left is allocated via a weapon set node. You cannot assign nodes off of it. You can turn it back into a main tree node for free at the hooded one (refund points)

this can be good too for trash mobs if you are stunning trash mobs easily, which can actually be hard to know/check but yeah, I also don't know if this works if the hit is enough to stun them but it's also enough to kill them... probably not, if they died they probably can't count as having been stunned

Yeah that was my thinking so for flame wall and incinerate it would icnrease the damage because its ignite as if the spell did x damage, so increasing x increases the ignite
Quite a few, but 1 second DoTs are pretty rare, and if its like PoE1 you need to lose ALL DoTs on you to reproc it, you cant gain multiple DoTs and constantly reset the damage being taken
@tropic riverI found some nice synergy, daze support on infernal cry, and gems that fully break armour on the ability I use for stunning bosses (melee attack for now)

Hold alt to read about freeze. It's based on the final damage. So as long as the enemy isn't already at effectively 0% cold res, it'll raise your damage and thus your buildup

Ignite chance is based on the magnitude of the hit in relation to the enemy's ailment threshold.
100% more is twice as much, not 10x as much. If you have two apples and I have 100% more apples than you, I have 4 apples.
Some enemies ar much harder to ignite. So you might 90% ignite chance on some mobs, but on a boss you might have only 20% or less. So having 100% more chance would bring you to 100% on the first 90% case, but it would take you to 40% from 20% in the boss case

yeh but if you have 90% chance to ignite and you actually multiply by 100%, then you still get 90% so it cant work that way either
It's for skills that move you more than two meters and then do damage. Like shield charge, for example

Does Ailments bonuses applied with a weapon set (skill tree 1) will persist after swapping to another set in which those bonuses don't exist? Such as debuff duration and magnitude

100% of 10 is 10. but 100% more of 10 is 20 @orchid torrent
but if the support gem only works on spells that have ignite, why can you put it on frostball in the first place? In other cases when it doesnt work on the skill it's grayed out

Because you can augment skills in loads of ways. You could convert the cold damage of frostbolt to fire, for example
