For the atlas tree, how does "increased chance to contain Essences" work specifically? Does it increase the chance the map will contain one essence, or can it cause multiple essences to be in the area if the chance is high enough? Most importantly, does the stat do anything if the area is already guaranteed to contain an essence (via a tablet, for example)?

my strat guarantees four essences, but I don't think I've ever seen above four essences in one area, so I'm wondering if those % chance nodes are just dead for my purposes

depends , if the weapon is a melee weapon or a caster weapon , on melee it's the character lvl , at lvl 90 I can equip a lvl 10 talisman and it has 5 sockets

if it's a caster weapon it's based on the ilvl/skill lvl of the weapon

my sceptre is ilvl 63 - skill lvl 14 it only has 3 sockets

"100% increased chance" is a multiplier on the base chance

I know for a fact that it was worth it in the first league of PoE2, I believe rarity was slightly nerfed since. Personally I went from 0 to 155 rarity and that has payed off, the investment was only like 10 div (additional to my old gear) and didnt cost me in clear speed or survivability.

for arbiter you need to find 3 citadels and get the fragments. worth pursuing as soon as possible to get tablet crafting

should see a blue, orange and red beam in the fog. if you haven't you need to travel a few screens away from the start of the atlas to start seeing them

small tip, the citadels spawn more frequent when you are a certain distance from the spawn on the atlas, so pick a direction and path away from the center, get only the valuable nodes like unique maps and corruption.

easiest way to test is go into a low tier white map and equip a white weapon and see how much armour you break and swap the gem and test again

Yes, it is very rare because usually everything dies or the burn is high so it's hard to reproduce.
The only way it's supposed to be interrupted is by stun, which you can easily notice. Especially with charge consumed from stun charm.
Every time unexplained interrupt have occurred it is: Soon after burn start, no stun occurred (2/2 charm), rage is somehow at max (rage gain).
I see people saying it sometimes get interrupted but without explanation. I'm pretty sure that's it.

Thus it is usually more optimal to have that damage type on gear. But it depends on the particular build. It generally helps at least a little to have other damage types, but that us usually not a priority.

Taking Lord of the Wilds makes everything effectively take 4x spirit.

So if eternal rage takes 100 normally. You would need 400 sprit initially. Lord of wilds divides that by 2 to 200. Then eternal rage uses 2x more so 100 x 2 = 200.

There is a leech cap, but getting more leech can help you maintain it. Pob told me I had enough leech to be capped, but that was under it's ideal continuous conditions. In reality, I had to get more leech.

• Details what need to be used at what level
• damage and surivaiblilty is consistent and good relative to their level
• No trading

So how do people gear up? From what I can tell alot of items cost like 100 divine orbs which each one is like 70 exalted orbs. So that means you need 7000 exalted orbs to buy one piece of gear and needing 9-10 slots of gear depending on if it's 2h or 1h and offhand means you need like 70000 exalted orbs. There's no way i'll make more than a few hundred before the seasons over so there's no way to even get one item for my build...

I'm trying to get my armour up so that i'm less squishy with druid but trying to cap my resists and do that plus get extra spirit for all the spirit skills in build forces the items into that expensive area. Then there's talismans where anything higher than a certain dps costs a fortune.

A 377 dps talisman iirc cost me like 30 or 40 exalted and that's like 1000 dps lower than the highest dps talismans. I'm not expective to buy the best of the best but something with 1/4 of the dps just feels ugh.

Play about in Path of Building to undestand ALL the ways your weapon can be better, a build guide really only ever gives you one specific way to build an item. That ramps up the cost massively of that one item.

you can use the endgame filter when you start mapping, my recommendation for the beginning: open the filterblade link, go to customize - general currency (at the top) - turn on the category "supplies: magic and shards", then gems (6th from top) - Endgame: Skill Gems - turn on all (or alternatively you have to buy the skill gems from market)

then Export to PoE -> Save and download. It shows where to put it, then you can turn it on in the settings under game tab

If you can complete them consistently then yes. You’ll get better loot at higher tiers. If you’re dying >=1 times per map I’d recommend doing lower tiers so that you can actually level up but the higher the tier of the map the more experience you get too.

they only show up when you get a certain distance away so if youre going all directions you've screwed yourself

I can't seem to beat this guy 🙁 he heals back to full and when I try to attack with lunar assault enough to freeze him so I can open up the damage he shoots me while combat rolling around and I get frozen and by the time I get unfrozen my buildup of trying to freeze him disappears......

There seems to be no way to avoid the slow effect and the freezing he does to me.

He is likely healing with a life flask so eventually he should run out of charges and then cant heal

It's one of those things where if out of the tens of thousands of items dropping the best items to drop only are worth like 1 regal then how do you afford something that costs 100 divines? 😛

Based on how items in PoE1 went in about 10 years of seasons I likely only have in standard enough currency to afford half of 1 item. So if PoE2 is the same in about 20 years i'll have enough currency in standard to afford 1 item in a season where the currency can't go to. Somehow I have to get 20 years of currency in a 3 month league to get 1 item out of 10 item slots.

You can make some struggle money by just buying White T14, combining them into T15 and alchemy slamming them. Whenever you hit high rarity just exalt and corrupt, it's almost guaranteed that someone will buy it for at least 100 ex

Can someone explain what this means? What is white T14? What do they mean by "Whenever you hit high rarity"? The rarity is always rare with alchemy orbs right? Also why would you intentionally corrupt something?

I'm lvl 77 and have 2229 life, 44% armour and 76% fire resist with 75% for the other 2 but 0% chaos and only 257 ES. I can't use the rage spirit gem yet because my 2 spirit gem skills use 60 out of the 80 spirit I have and I can't afford gear with resists and spirit. my weapon is like 377 dps because it was like 30 or 40 exalts and I couldn't affford better. I did manage to buy an upgrade weapon for at lvl 78 for 21 chaos orbs which was still insane...

Somehow I need to increase my dps, spirit, armour and chaos resist without losing anything I have and without breaking the bank. This new weapon for lvl 78 already basically cost 100 exalts and it's garbage compared to the 1600 dps weapons i've seen for sale

After the campaign you should be at a base of 100 spirit.
Did you clear Act1 Freythorn, Act3 The Azak Bog and Kriar Village in the interlude? On the map there should be a crossed out boss next to the location if you cleared it.

Yeah but I need like 160 for the 3 spirit skills for the build. I have 80, I likely didn't do the bog.

The last skill uses 100 on its own so there's no point even doing the bog until I can afford the hundreds of divine orbs the gear with spirit on it costs since I have more than enough spirit for the other 2 skills atm.

I don't know for druid but as monk I use to prefer raw phys dps over any stats on the quarterstaff.
The only exception is if you usually expect spell level on it, that can be kinda important but you have to do guesswork which item is better

you can put support gems on the spirit skills when you have left over spirit. There should be life recovery on kill and mana recovery that you can slap on both of the spirit skills, depending on what you need.

well if you have spirit left over, there are super strong support gems that you usually have to skip.

like vitality 2, it gives 2% of max life as regen for 40 spirit

All of the ones I can cut require 30 spirit and I only have 20 left over atm. The one I need that I don't have from the build is Eternal Rage which I need 80 more than I currently have left to use and gear to get that extra 80 is what is insanely expensive.

Oh supports, well mana remnants only has 2 support gems in it but that's all the build uses until T15 maps build.

hey guys, i have a question, I have runed a lot of vaal temple, but some medallion increased my energized crystals to 18. I have to activate 6 beacon to enter the vaal, so what is the purpose to this number ? When a beacon reached 6 crystals, it opens and open the portal to the temple, don't know how to "stack" those 18 crystals. And when i go in the temple (without activate it) the 6 crystals I've need to enter the temple are consummed anyway so those energy crystals are always at 0/18

What makes a stat local?

This isn't showing up in searches if I search in the market for things with minimum of 60 explicit armour but it does if it's minimum of 60 explicit armour (Local).

so because it adds that 60 armour to those gloves, any increases to armour on those gloves (also local) directly increase the armour on those gloves which then apply to your character

that armour value at the top of those gloves is the total of all the local additions and increases to armour on those gloves

quality also multiplies that value
