hello, I completed a tier 9 map on a corrupted nexus, but the quest "complete tier 9+ corrupted nexus" didn't complete and I didn't get the atlas points... is it because it required to be 10 tier map or higher, or because I died once to the boss? also I killed the map boss, but the corruption boss didn't spawn

What are your defensive layers? How much life, are your resistances capped, and what other layers do you have?

ive got 4.4k energy shield. capped on lightning and fire, 57% cold and immune to chaos.
Last run i kept getting stunlocked and couldnt get out of dying to basic attacks even when spamming dodge

Definitely cap that cold res, get more energy shield, there are nodes on the tree that make energy shield contribute to stun threshold. Normally its just life so having 1 life means you get very easily stunned. And have a way of recovering energy shield while in combat if you don't already.

There are no rules, it's just that with pure evasion if you get hit you take all the damage

armour wears you down slowly, es you take nothing and then you die, evasion you take nothing or you take a lot

both recoup and regen can be effective, but keep in mind they only compliment your max life

you can be tanky with just enough life+ES without those, but you will always be a glass cannon with tons of life recoup or life regen and little life+ES

Something else important to note is that recoup is not triggered by DoT, which is often particularly dangerous. Take for example the shade walker abyssal monster modifier, which teleports to you and drops a puddle. Not only is the DoT so massive that you can't overcome it with recoup/regen, but even if you have huge amounts of life, it still vaporizes you if you don't have ES because it's physical DoT which is not mitigated by armour (ES has inherent physical damage reduction)

alternatively, hit with 6 mods, and when preserved vertebrae use sinistral necromancy as well

also ~100% delirium may make the map too hard to run, unless you're doing T7s I guess

bear in mind T6 with irradiation is the same as T7, and T7 with irradiation is too high level and stops filtering out the greater drops

when you use preserved, it will remove one affix to replace it with its own, so rarity usually drops a little, that's normal. When you reveal the desecrated mod rarity might go up again

that's why you may choose to only omen chaos 5 affixes instead of 6, then it doesn't remove any

Running into a glitch in ultimatum (POE 2) where the lifts dont work...this is particularly at gather soul core task...Im running a minion build..whenever I try using the lift it does not work...even when I despawn the minions...I get stuck carrying the soul core...which is constantly applying a degen and spawns enemies..get trapped and die ..like repeatedly. Anyone running into a problem like this?

That early on, the best you can do it just play the game. The more waystones and maps you do the better.

You can try doing trials, but considering you yourself said you felt weak this might not be viable.

You can also try buying cheap and effective gear from other players via the in-game auction house

Lets say i deal 100 fire damage, and i have an item/keystone/whatever that gives me 100% of fire converted to cold. I then have "gain 10% of damage as extra fire damage". Will i deal 110 cold, or 100 cold and 10 fire?

By currency investment I mean you gotta invest lots of currency into crafting your maps, buying stuff, crafting stuff to get a lot of currency back

yeah it comes down to unique jewels and items, one such item could cost dozens of divines for all I know, but even then you should be able to make a budget version without these items

when huntress came out for example there was mainly just tangletongue and you could already buy a good tangletongue for a divine, many said spear builds will be hella expensive because they are popular, but many items are used in other builds as well, so if you pick an unpopular build you will still be competing with others for some of the same items

do enemies without resistance symbol have an elemental resistance that can be reduced for more damage?

All enemies techincally have a resistance value. If there's no icon, that means they're at 0%. If it's grey, they're usually at 30%, if it's gold, they're typically at 75%, and if it's red, it's typically negative. In all cases, you can use stuff like Exposure and Curses to lower that value further, though note that Penetration does not lower Resistance and cannot bring it below 0%.

That's for Instant Trading. If you have a Merchant Tab, you can list an item with an Instant Buyout listing instead of the normal version. This listing doesn't require you to reply and trade with the player; instead, they warp to your hideout and take it from its place.
The tradeoff is that buying an item in this way has a gold tax for the buyer. That's the Fee you see listed.

It's probably not a priority, but PoE2 has Uncut gems instead, so if you plan to play more than one character or to respec at any point, it's a convenient place to hold spare Uncut gems until then. Ultimately, I wouldn't buy it before stuff like Currency or Map/Waystone tab.

Uncut gems are used to obtain gems, not refund passive points. That's done with Gold.

What I meant with regards to respeccing is that if you decide to swap around your build, having some spare Uncut Gems will mean you can freely just cut those into whatever skills you need.

Witchhunter will be much more straightforward with damage and defenses, you scale your sorcery ward and you get the cull/opening damage nodes. Tactition has really strong defensives in the form of Pin/Immobilization buildup, as well as being able to use many many aura skills, but these combinations take quite a bit more knowledge of the game to understand what is good about them

Damage Gained as Extra works in a similar manner to Conversion, but adds that damage on top (hence Gained as Extra) whereas Conversion effectively replaces that initial damage with damage of the new element. If you have 100 Physical damage and convert 50% to Fire, you would end up to 50 Phys and 50 Fire (not factoring in modifiers that might scale one or the other). If you have 100 Physical damage and gain 50% as extra Fire, you would end up with 100 Physical damage and 50 Fire damage.

In both cases, the converted or gained damage is only affected by modifiers to the new damage type, so that 50 Fire damage would no longer be scaled by increases to Physical damage.
