Hi, is there a website/resource that shows me the structure of the maps or a map tier list so I can prioritise which ones to do? Because I hate maps with very narrow corridors, as I can't move around properly and if I stumble even slightly, they kill me.

i have run lots of chaotic rarity maps and chaotic monster maps. cant tell any difference in rare drops. and to my thinkin more rare monster kills equates to more chances for good stuff to drop. am i crazy?

a major part of that calculation is that chaotic monsters is much cheaper

Sadly you'd have to conclude it's your lack of iir; it is synergistic with map rarity, not additive

I usually notice the difference immediately going from 0 to 30% and keep noticing as I add more rarity to gear though I can't get to the magic 150, I try to get above 100 and still have good all round gear instead

I don't make huge currency, but it would be very rare to not make back more than it cost me to juice a map

if you're just after currency, you could try the level 71 strategy instead

Hello. I am trying to understand what source reduces my damage. On huntress my main source of DPS is Lighning Spear. I convert 100% of damage to lightning. I have 90% of lightning penetration, although on around T10 in avarage I deal around 60k dmg, but on T15 it is around 20k. Can I get any hints what could reduce that DMG?

4 mods can be anything from a bonus to build destroying

and cut back on penetration, putting it into something more useful; I wouldn't even bother with more than 50% pen, especially if you have exposure as well

exposure can put enemies into negative resistance

sadly no calculator for megalo for pob2 like there is for 1

but you can check the tree tab and choose show node power, pick full dps (if that's what you're trying to optimise), show power report, and when it's finally complete, sort by the full dps

that will tell you which unallocated passives give you the most damage, and you can look for those on megalo

bear in mind pob can only calculate correctly if you've configured it as well - for example if you always shock, make sure to pick the shocked enemy

Lower the stats until you start seeing offers to get a better idea of it's value. Then depending on how much better yours is than the next worst one, try a bit higher offer and see. You might want to ignore offers older than a week old.

mana and mana regen are kind of junk mods, look for upgrades without these mods unless you really need those

and yes, play with values of mods if you want to find something more affordable

It depends on the specifics of what you are doing. Best to look up written or video guides for specific farms. If they are halfway descent they will have a recommended atlas tree.

But basically, if you are not mega juiced with a lot of rarity on gear you are probably not going to get a ton of value from maps.

oh. i dont know what im doing at all tbh. not really farming at all i guess. i was under the impression that rarity gear wasnt that important. so have just been chaotic monstering stones with paranoia. ran a bunch with chaotic rarity with greed maps but didnt see any diderence cept getting less xp. figured more monster kills meant more loot drop chances. i dunno. im really just fucking around here.

Any juicing, monsters, rarity etc will help, but rarity on gear is very important for dropping better loot. I have some rarity on gear, but I don't juice myself. I just put 6 mods and go. I try to put item rarity or rare monsters on tablets.

Question - I'm seeing lots of builds running a temp chains blasphemy with a non-blasphemy second curse for damage (e.g. despair, vulnerability, ele weakness, etc.), but without Whispers of Doom. What's the use case there, the temp chains is mostly for avoiding problems in maps and the damage curse is for single target? Is there any issue with the temp chains sometimes activating over top of the damage curse if you get close?

go to the rare monster cluster over the shrine cluster so you get a bit of shrine passives too

Tier 15s are lvl 79 zones so you should be getting tons of XP if your build is good

If you cannot handle t15 maps, no worries! Even a tier 11 map would be level 75 monsters and being 7 levels higher means you should receive most of the XP without penalty. Once you are 8 levels higher than the map you will begin seeing the XP penalty take effect and slow you down.

If a tier 11 is a struggle, you should either run lower waystones to get more accustomed to your build and farm some currency, or you should upgrade some pieces and become stronger. The second option is faster but may require some currency

1. You do not need 60 spirit for any reason at level 50. Cast on ailment, Arctic armour, mana remnants, convalescence, tamed beast... You don't need any of that tbh

2. If you need support gems and beat act 3, then buy some from the currency exchange. If you can't, then go farm a campaign zone, the highest you can do

3. Same for skill gem, either buy off the exchange or go farm whatever zone you can

4. It's a new league with new mechanics, maybe consider a new character to see Abyss?

Should be 75/75/75 I know it feels hard when you start to hit those resistance caps but by using trade and maybe some greater essences you can get res capped quite comfortably

In order to get maps of a lower tier, you would either need to buy them from the vendor in your hideout or use the trade site. Your other option would be campaign to get tier 1 wastones and work your way up but that sounds miserable.

Nope, in maps and campaign you come across Essence monsters that you click a few times to break free. If you use a greater essence on a magic item, you guarantee an affix.

So maybe you find a ring with 100 life and 30 cold resistancr. Simply use an essence for fire or lightning resistance and now you have tons of resistance on a single ring, and can use exalted orbs from there. Simple and repeatable on new magic items you find OR buy

Since some mods require a certain level item (+5 to lightning spells for example on a wand) you're better off just collecting raw currency, essences, socketables, omens, etc.

Unlikely to pick up a white/blue/yellow item and sell it until you hit lvl 78-82 map levels

The default semi-strict neversink option should be fine

you don't need to sell gear for currency, it's not necessary at all

generally it's very rare when you find an item worth something

no software and no loot filter can really help you with that, just learn the good mods

yea, it is basically just not respecting affinity from instill interface (if you have stash open) and goes to any tab that will take it. It does not go into any special tabs including waystone.

If you are trying to recombine a rare and a common mod, the base containing the rare mod is much more likely to be chosen.

Well reforging doesn't preserve the granted skill level. It just creates a new one with a random level appropriate to the ilvl of the output item, which is the lowest ilvl of the 3 inputs.

but I can see from your resistances you'll easily get one shot

if you got your cold resistance up to 75% for example, you would take literally 20% of the damage you're currently taking from cold hits

Also having an optimised build gets more and more important the further you go into endgame. You can't just guess your way through the passive tree and items, and if it's overwhelming trying to optimise, a build guide is definitely the way to go

All of these tips can vary in effectiveness.
Experiment and try as many as you are willing.

In POE 2 settings:

• Set Sound Channel Count to Low.
• Set as many graphic options as low as you're willing
• Set Dynamic Resolution and Dynamic Culling to On
• Switch to a less busy Trade and Global chat channel by opening chat, typing:
  /global [random 5 digit number]
  /trade [same random 5 digit number]
  for example:
  /global 29432 /trade 29432
• For game crashes try changing Graphics setting Renderer from Vulkan to DirectX12 or the other way around.
• For a more extreme solution, remove all sound effects through the game's files (search for a guide online)

__For Windows users: __

• Disable Discord overlay
• Uninstall Xbox apps you do not use
• Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.
• Make sure XMP mode is enabled for your RAM in bios (Search Youtube for guide. Very easy)

You mean when you get to endgame? Well because the story is essentially over, it becomes a way to improve your build, test it in maps, and look for good loot which most use to trade on the player trade market.

It can feel a bit boring or aimless for some, it did for me, but eventually I thought of it as a playground to test things for my build and learned how to use the trade market and found that fun.

Spell sockets are based on the item/skill level, but level 20 should mean 5 sockets. A screenshot of the item would be nice, just in case there's something there that could explain it.

Only Default Attacks get that, as they're not inherent to the item but your character

Inherent Skills, ie the Spells on Staves and Wands, as well as skills on Uniques, are scaled based on the item level of the item.

And they unlock sockets at certain level thresholds, I believe the wiki has the exact numbers.

There's already a bunch of ways to increase your chances of getting what you want, and those will only increase as more crafting systems are added. Fundamentally, it is crafting, and has been this way since the start of PoE1, and they're quite firm against having completely deterministic crafting in the game.

cleansed maps drop more currency as a proportion of drops

there is also an atlas passive node that makes a particular biome drop more currency, but in 0.3.1 they forgot to show what biome each map belongs to so you have to look them up

but in general, no map drops divines per se as they're intentionally a rare currency

to get lots of raw divine drops you need to juice the shit out of your map, have lots of item rarity on you, and run in large groups

Second of all, there are two forms of trading, async and the old system. If you can travel to hideout, they're selling via the async trade. If you can whisper, it's the old system.

they are different strategies, I think it was high deli and abyssal pits > rare monsters > rarity

rare monsters is supposed to be more expensive and more profitable

if you go the rare monster route you use the deli for rare monsters have one more mod btw and you buy maps with rare monsters have one more mod

if you go the rarity route you just put paranoias on it and make sure the map itself has high rarity, so you also try to get a rarity abyssal mod

It's very likely. It had originally been intended for 0.3, but had to be pushed back. It should be ready for 0.4, which is the next league, yes.

Nothing wrong with just giving it a go and seeing what happens. At worst, it's still a learning experience, and at best, you'll have made your own build.

And besides, there'll probably be build guides out within a day or two, so if you feel like your build isn't working out, you'd have a levelled character to switch to something different.

how does eternal blessing support work with skills given by equipped items? I have eternal blessing support on my pride, and i put those 2 links on my jack the axe, and it looks like i have both auras with 0 reservation but i'm not entirely sure

So Im trying to figure out just some generic advice for mapping in PoE 2, as a newbie.
Should I be saving my tablets/currency for later tier maps? Whats a good point, assuming im not rolling in currency to start trying to buff a map up?
For juicing a map. Is the ideal way to slowly set one up with augment/trans then move it to a rare if I get lucky with good modifiers? I think I also read that I can use delirium rewards to further get more from a map, but im guessing this is also for much higher tier maps?
To start out, I should mostly focus on precursor towers and corrupted nexus's right now?

your first two goals are to max out the atlas tree and get to t15, so feel free to just kill the boss and move on to the next map if your character level is higher than the area level, you dont need mods or tablets on the maps for now, you can use bad tablets if you want though

once you can handle t15 start adding mediocre tablets, once you can handle t15 with 6 mods and deli start using good tablets

use an alchemy if you can, then exalts, then an abyssal mod, then add chaotic item rarity if the map has low rarity and put paranoias on it, that would be the simplest way

Dumb question. Do the tablets have their own stash tab? Ive been tucking them in an extra for now. Just seems weird they arent attache to the waystone stash tab at least

that would still be a very cheap map, but only do that with 6 mods, good deli and good tablets ofc

tablets have no stash tab, depends on whether you want to sell them on tft or not

you can have just good tablets and bad tablets, two stash tabs, or you can have both tabs but also for your own use and for sale, 4 tabs

good tablets have amount of rare monsters, quantity of items, experience, pack size, ritual rerolls and omens, the higher the roll the better
