While I absolutely would NOT advise just downloading willy nilly random stuff off the internet. It's worth mentioning that there are tools out there for poe that are invaluable to the experience, like path of building for instance. GGG themselves say they don't implement certain features into the game because third party devs simply do it better. And while they technically COULD just add pob into the game, it would make the game just that much more inaccessible for new players, throwing in basically a hundred calculators into the game for you to have to dissect. Instead, it's there for players who decide they enjoy the game and want to take it a step further

Well generally they aren't officially endorsed by GGG. It's more of a community thing. Not sure if you're familiar with world of warcraft, but it's something like deadly boss mods or weakauras. Not something explicitly endorsed by blizzard, but if you like the game and want to progress in high caliber content, you'll start to hear about it through the community

Worth mentioning that armour follows a kind of convoluted calculation where it is more effective against smaller hits, and less against large hits. So first thing would be to just not facetank stuff that you can avoid, big telegraphed slams, stuff like that.

yeah those guys chunk hard regardless of your defenses. But also gotta consider stuff like map mods. If you're running a map mod where it gives monsters phys as extra chaos, that's gonna hurt. Also gotta make sure your resistances are capped, for instances like that

Howdy people! I need some advice for some boss fight setup, if any vets can help.

I am using Galvanic Shards + Herald of Thunder but when I fight bosses, I mostly use Requiem to burst. Is there any eye of winter or orb of storms setup I can build to place it down before the boss spawns so I can increase my boss damage?

like I never did it for flipping reasons but I rmr that 40 chaos got me 1 div but by converting through exalted I saved like 30% on it

if you're at endgame already, get maps tab. it's great, but don't get it before endgame as it won't be useful until you get there. merchant tab is only useful from Act 4+. in general currency is the single best tab. other than that gems tab is very useful for storing support gems you'll come across. and i prefer quad tabs over normal tabs. keeps the tab list tidier.

the socketables tab is nice to have also

if you are doing it in chaos, first, you shouldnt be. They need to join you for the entire trial and not get downed. You cannot rez them if they drop. if they do go down, they get booted from the trial and you need to start a new one. they did make a change this league were you have like unlimited attempts at the boss for some reason, so you really should never fail the fight

i feel like it is the other way round, poe2 doesnt have a lot of gimmick or "if you dont have this number your entie build fails", and poe1 has too much league mechanics and knowledge piled up just from time.
while researching for poe2 stuff i found myself to be a bit more in part with older players, as for example i already know a LOT more about tablet drops than most people on the internet (couldnt find any info so just have to test it out myself).

@ornate locust you can also look into the uniques available to see what can help during leveling. alot of them have super helpful mechanics that can keep you alive or give you ore damage.

for example, I dropped a blistering bond ring at some point on my first character and that helped with mitigating bleeds thru the campaign

i was told to shoot for 5000 life and 2000 ES and 100 to each resists. not seeing how thats possible. am i supposed to spend 100 div to get there?

ive managed 2600 life 500 ES and about 80 on resists except chaos, which is only at 13.

idk who told you to get 5k life but that's not really achievable without blood mage ascendancy

tried to revert a lich into abyssal lich ascension change (want to change to a bloodmage), should that be available when doing the vessel of kulemak again? i am not seeing the option to change my ascendancy there or in regular trials

resists cap at 75% so as long as you don't have +# to max resistance there's no real purpose aiming higher than 75 🤔

5k isn't possible for most builds in poe2 without massive investment cause there's so much less scaling that's generally available. 2k-2.5k should be reasonable.
You can however get insane amounts of ES, so you could probly push 3-4k ES pretty easily if you're on a class that has access to alot of ES nodes.
but defences are just as important. make sure you get alot of armour or evasion/deflection and make sure your res is capped to at least 75%.

I worded that wrong. Eg if you have 75 max fire res you should get 85 fire res because the waystone can decrease your res
