Guys, does anyone know what I'm missing here about how armour works, this is driving me nuts

• I took off all gear
• I have 0 armour-modifying passives

I should have 264 armour, but the tooltip shows 224.

Even more strangely, my actual belt which should give a whopping 594 armour only ends up giving 303.

I wouldn't care that much if it wasn't because the second one has an unexplained 51% loss compared to the value it should be.

You can't trust the in-game tooltip completely, it's more of an estimation
I personally like getting a little bit because it helps mitigate small hits, so in that sense yes, a little bit does more relative to having nothing
But in most cases you'd probably double down on whatever you're stacking

So the pob trader is really neat for weighting mods, but there's some missing from items like amulets. Is there any way for me to manually add a mod for it to search for, so it can automatically get the weight? Or do calculate how it gets the weight to match them?

If you kill the boss 100 times, and it drops 10 times, you didn't prove it's a 10% drop rate, but it's pretty statistically likely that it's closer to a 10% than a 1% drop rate

I've developed enough to killfarm half of 150x pinnacles (and comfortably do lesser others), including normal arbiter of ass and the abyss one.

What is there left to do? I see uber arbiter and think "cool just a longer fight with more instakills", then the rest is beginning to mellow out

I don't like having multiple characters, and on my current setup the improvements are very incremental for exponentially higher prices

I think it's time to call it a game over and wait for the next patch

Hey guys, I'm back for 0.3 after skipping 0.2 and figuring out the abyss stuff. I'm in SSF and trying to find the heart of the well jewel. Turns out "Gain % of Maximum Mana as Armour" is bugged and is actually working as "Gain % of Maximum BASE Mana as Armour".
Super misleading stuff, bit disappointed after crafting what should have been a sick belt

The other issue is that, since the trade economy is basically pvp, even if you don't want to fall into the "scam" camp, you still kinda have to follow suit to make it work. It's definitely a problem with the trade site, but as hanbi said, it just needs to be updated a lot more often.

For instance, say annuls are worth exactly 50ex, and you want to sell something worth 150ex. You could list it at 150ex, but it'll then be buried under mountains of annul listings. So the easiest way to actually get your item viewed by people who aren't specifically searching in exalts is to just list it at 3 annuls. Not scamming anyone since you're essentially listing it at 150ex, but just through a roundabout way. Just falls into a herd mentality.

you can use charms, gear, or tree passives to make yourself harder to stun. tho obviously the first way is having enough evasion to keep most hits from connecting or enough armour and res for those hits to be small enough to avoid stunning you. having more life/es can help with surviving if you do get stunned, tho if you have alot of ES you will want passives that make your stun threshhold based off your ES.

any technically. but depending on character level vs the area level the xp you gain can be reduced to negligible levels. so you can't just get carried to maps at lv 1 then xp farm in maps.

and you similarly can't gain much xp by playing with a friend whose going thru acts while your character is at map level

They're a standard life stacking blood mage. Tecrod's timeless jewel gives them the keystone that gives them a boatload of life regen. But since they used it in the CI slot, ninja just still assumes they are running CI and have 1 life.

I was looking at 'Chaotic Freeze' support for contagion in daedrabbit's guide. Will this allow contagion to freeze or do you need other things in the tree? couple hours late to respond, walked away for a bit. But yeah, basically. Rathpith blood mage builds scale their damage off of their total life, because thats how rathpith works. So you want to get as much life as possible. Outside of flat life on gear, you can get a boatload of life from the Kaom's Heart body armour, but that removes your spirit entirely, or veil of the night, which gives a ton of % hp, but sets all of your elemental resistances to 0. The build you linked specifically uses both just to stack as much life as possible. A cast on crit build would want to use veil of the night since you need the spirit, and a regular cast build would want kaom's heart and just not run any reservation skills but have resistances

how can i improve this build

i'm doing an infernalist minion build and it wants me to use Voltaic Mark but how do i get it without using a bow? The guide isn't using a bow at any point and I can't seem to find this Googling. Only mention on the guide is "use it", essentially.

you don't need a bow to use it , it's a mark , I'm using it right now , you just need the dex ,lvl 7 gem , 41 dex

To clarify, not all skills in categories like 'Mace' or 'Bow' require that weapon type. The sorting is based more around thematic alignment and class association, but outside of that, stuff like all Spells, Curses, Marks and so on can be used on any weapon type, provided you meet the requirements for it.

Are you actually doing 10k dmg tho? Open the advanced infos of the skill in question and check the average dmg.

Hey, i saw that lots of streamers have a "dump" stash tab for all the gear they pick up in maps
but I never understood what and how they use this dump stash
does anyone care to explain?

A lot of items automatically go to designated stash tabs (currency, delirium, etc), using a dump stash lets you just ctr+click your entire inventory to sort out later.

and just continue mapping

it's often just a quad tab, where they dump everything (potentially except what goes elsewhere because of affinities, don't dump currency there unless you want to keep track of what you farmed with a strategy) between maps so they can jump straight back to mapping
you can also make it public and give it a mass price, but that's a bit scummy (if you don't intend to sell for the price you've listed)

You dump all items in there and set the tab to list each item for let's say 1 ex. Then when you quickly get tons of requests from people wanting to buy the item you know its valuable and should be properly price checked

bad comparison, the target for that question should be the proportion of players who are aware of the method who think it is scummy. If 1000 players play the game, but only 100 know about the method of which 80 think it's scummy then looking at it as 'only 80/1000' is bad stats

It's an easy way to pricecheck for newcomers and it frequently gets recommend by experienced players.

The only ones who complain about it are people who get buthurt because they don't get to buy items for cheap.
