Yes it is one of the only direct way to boost loot drop

So ideally you clear out all bad maps in an area pathing between towers, then stack 3-4 of those tablets and run the now fairly high quant maps

Traitor passage act 2 cruel is a bugged quest in the sense that it does nothing and you cannot ascend. You have to use a level 60+ barya for 3rd ascendancy which you can only get towards end of acts or in maps (it is a random drop). Ignore that quest.

There is no quest item for act 2 cruel traitors passage.
