Looks like you and I are running a pretty similar build in terms of passive tree and skills. The main scaling of this build comes from mana and intellect. With Mind over Matter your mana essentially becomes your health pool. Each point of intellect your have will give you mana. Mana is also going to be one of your main sources of scaling damage. Arcane intensity and Archmage will be the parts of the build that take your mana and convert them into damage

use a regal to get it to 3 mods, or use an alchemy orb on a white waystone to get 4. the more mods (and the harder they are), the better the waystone drop rate.

general strat is to use 300% or so droprate waystones on Boss nodes to maximize waystone income.

i'm currently overflowing with 15s, so I alchemy the lot and sell or give away the ones with mods I don't want

But it's definitely the most reasonable explanation. Try hitting them with power siphon.

If they take damage, then assume they are lightning immune.

Usually my stuff gets hidden by mountains/buildings, but maybe trees do it too.
