Like, in this particular case I think it's an issue that when someone says cold's options all feel clunky I don't have a great suggestion. Frostbolt feels good to cast but its clear and damage don't feel great, cold snap is clunky unless you're triggering it and unfreezes things, comet is incredibly slow unless you're triggering it which takes tons of energy, eye of winter's base damage seems really low but I admittedly haven't tried it much and crit weakness is nice, converting fireball and shotgunning with frost wall feels good but the damage isn't incredibly and then you're using a fire skill...

Against normal packs casting frost wall and then shooting fireball into it can just fill the screen with fireballs and blow up everything, especially when wildshards and extra projectiles trigger. Just tanky rares and bosses can sometimes take a bit to kill, especially if they're ones where it's hard to get the position of the frost wall right because they move a lot

Last attempt I was so stacked up with boons and still couldnt finish him. Lustrous Lacquer is absolutely broken OP, it carried me the whole run. I had almost 80% evade - 76% to be exact

If I put an Iron rune on it, which gives 20% to energy shield, am I getting 140 total es, or 144 es?

One thing to think about is to try not to run around too much in a breach. That will aggro more mobs. Try to stay near the opening point until you have cleared it, then slowly start to move out in one direction
