Nodes are infinite so no worries on wasting them, you do want to use rarer waystones on bosses and the like though for higher loot

I usually run my lower tier waystones to move around on the blank nodes and then use a juiced up one that I've crafted on to do a boss node or breach so I can get more waystones and better loot

I think you have to find three special bosses around the atlas that drop fragments (or buy them on trade). Then you put them in to fight the current big endgame boss.

That will help, but really you need to get life mods on gear. All armor and jewelry pieces can roll with 100+ life. It would take 50 strength to match a single 100+ life roll (assuming you have no health multipliers)

There are passives that improve "electrocution buildup". You need an ability that can generate electrocution. The only way I know of is to use the "electrocute" support, but there are probably other skills that do it as well. There are also some uniques that affect electrocution.
