I got lucky with pathing and the merchant. I kept getting boons and afflictions that cancelled each other out, mostly. Merchant is VERY strong

The scrying eye (see an extra room ahead) is amazing.

The two big mods I had were +50% damage (yay), but zero armour (fucking ouch, honour gets CHUNKED)

Other than that my strategy was to use stampede liberally, use earthshatter when I needed to play if safe from range, and drop hammer of the god on any rare I saw while playing like a bitch. Stack as much max honor and honor resist as possible. The third floor boss is a bitch, an anti slow charm might really help, but just note she has phases.. run away when she's shooting poison or burrowing don't even bother attacking, when she's swiping at you go to town

Sacred water is really strong to cancel out the afflictions the game gives you. Like for ex I had both monster had 50% more HP, but I bought monsters have less HP from merchant. My first purchase was merchant was half price(high roll), and then I took an affliction that doubled his prices. Stuff like that

if you can clear content right now without dying, you can keep going. early on xp loss on death is tiny, it scales with time, wait till you hit a wall at a certain tier of map then take a step or two back to grind levels if need be

that is accessed by doing the bosses for each of those trees respectively

you're pretty far off from it so id not worry about it for now

your points in the main tree should primarily go towards A) waystone sustain and b) rare mobs
