If you do end up buying the stash tabs, you can set their affinity. So if you stash a uncut skill gem, it will automatically go into the stash tab without having it open. This way you just open stash, just hit stash on all the currencies and uncut skills gems in your inventory and they will all go into their correct tabs

Its a personal choice. SSF means you have to figure out your gear situation. More rewarding I guess when something significant drops.
Trade is a mega busted mechanic that can solve all your gear issues in 15 minutes and few exalts until deep into end game.

Well thats the challenge of creating a build. Finding ways of making things work together. Eventually throwing a bunch of stuff together is going to hit a brick wall if it doesnt synergize.

It imposes restrictions that prevent you from taking shortcuts. If you need the motivation to learn it'll make you better e.g. it will force you to learn how to craft on a budget. But you can certainly learn more in trade since your access to things will be less limited. Ultimately if you have less fun you'll play less, engage less and learn less so do what is fun for you.

Silly question. Im trying to find out what attacks versus spells are for the sake of rage. It says attacks are skills that directly use your equipped weapon. Does this mean for example it only effects maul and not furious slam? They require a talisman and a talisman is a weapon

Rolling magma requires a talisman but that looks like more of a spell to me

Like a weapon might do 12-24 physicsl damage. That just would add onto that. So using your example it would total 13-30 damage.

Actually its better for the minimum to be as high as possible because the minimum is the guaranteed number. It can't ever go below the minimum, however, its never guaranteed to reach the maximum. But higher tiers of stats increase both numbers.

And there are things like lucky hits, which roll the number twice and take the highest.

Lightning damage usually has the most access to lucky because it has the widest range between min and max if you compare the numbers.

To get higher numbers you use better bases and higher tier modifiers

The base is the specific item type (not the category of item like wand/staff/etc but the specific type of wand/staff/etc)

Better bases will have higher damage by default and usually better DPS overall (lower damage is usually accompanied by higher attacks per second) or some kind of specific effect they come with

Like staves, wands and sceptres come with some kind of skill assigned to them that’s specific to that base type

And then you can get mods like “adds x to y physical damage” or “% increased physical damage” which will affect your damage with that weapon for attacks specifically

Attacks and spells are different things so if you’re casting fireball it won’t benefit from added fire damage unless the modifier explicitly applies to spells

Any league starter build should be designed to function off of a low amount of investment

It may not always scale well into endgame but it should be at least able to get you to high tier maps without too much gearing requirement

What are your life and resistances like? If you have negative resistances you’ll be taking a lot more damage

It’s hard to cap them in the campaign but having them as high as possible is important

That's why ascendancy makes such an impact. Shaman has stuff for rage generation which makes several shapeshifting skills easier to use and maintain. Your wing blast generates power charges when you're stunning primed enemies but if you dont spend them they go to waste.

yeah, i guess im having an issue getting chilled ground, frost bomb doesnt seem like it makes chilled ground. I just put ice nova on because Ijust got to the end game, and my first map i noticed that on the ability icon there was like a purple ring around it? Making the nova bigger and froze enemies, the detonate worked after that

Very late response but that looks like a support that has a cooldown or a condition. I’m not sure which one you have but as an example “Fist of war I” boosts your skill every 6 seconds and when it’s off cooldown there is a red circle around the skill icon.

I love my witch, and i'm trying to decide on what build I should go for between blood mage and lich for the starter league that is good to transition into an end game build. You’ll have to visit more Vaal beacons to reopen the temple. You get a chance to visit the temple every 6 beacons. There should be one beacon in every zone. It’s not a big deal if you miss out on one temple attempt.

It’s probably not worth going backwards unless you’re really struggling in the regular zones. The beacons will reappear if it’s a new instance of the zone i.e. you haven’t been there for 15 minutes or you ctrl + click on the entrance/map and create a new instance). In that case you would still have to kill the monsters around each beacon again to activate them.

Hold ALT while looking at the mods on your gear. A Tier 6 thorns roll is worse than a tier 2. Lower tier mods are better. Just need the mods to roll appropriately.

Guides also usually just tell you what to be aiming for, you don't need the exact stats at the exact level.

There's no right answer. A big part of POE is the joy of trying out new builds, which can play very differently from one another.

Druid is new this league, so very popular and has several strong ways to build it. Running poison skills on Ranger was a very popular league-start build. Witch using the Blood Mage ascendency for all kinds of life and cast-on-critical shenanigans is also quite popular.

You could try asking in #2┃looking-for-group but IMO it’s better to fix your gear than get someone to carry you. Lightning res is helpful. Look for gear upgrades from vendors. By level 30 you should have some artificers orbs from drops, quest rewards, and from salvaging items with sockets.

Pick up white items and hit them with a transmute and augment. If you get life or resists or both, that's a win. A blue item with two good mods is better than a rare with four bad ones.

You need to complete the floors that would give you as many points as you have now. For eg, if you have 4 ascendancy points already, doing one floor sekhimas (which gives you two points) will not be enough

At the end of the trial you have to talk to Balbala or the Trialmaster to unspec all your ascendancy points and then click the ascendancy altar to pick a new one. If you have done the correct level trial it should work.

The small nodes are faster start of recharge. He doesn’t seem to value recharge rate given there are zero points allocated to it at all. ES probably recharges plenty fast so the points are better spent elsewhere.

For the first part of the interlude, I just finished Holten Estate, and I'm now supposed to go to the khari bazaar, but there's still wolvenhood to do in the first part. Is this mandatory part of the story? I'm wondering because it's not clear how to get there.

You can do them out of order, but in general I think finishing each interlude in order works well. Hooded One will always offer you the chance to port to the other two, but it's your choice what order you do them.

I'm not sure how to get tehre though because the only option I have is to go to Mount Kriar through the hooded one. Unless I missed something somehwhere maybe?

And I can't remember what map in act 2 you go to the lizard-looking thing to get that green text. I know it's a strange description, but I can't remember what it's called. I missed that for sure and want to go back and visit it

I THINK it would, but that's shaky and I'd have to test it to be sure. Do it with cheap runes, can always socket new ones.

Looks like the result of a filter being out of date “expert” items were removed a few patches ago. I’d update the filter, export to PoE and then refresh in game.
