The temple was intended to have a few options. 1. Rush to the architect and get the reward rooms from defeating him 2. Rush Atziri for the rewards for defeating her 3. Build up as many powerful reward rooms as possible and ignore the bosses.

Players found that if you do very specific things you can get far more out of option 3 than was intended.

The devs intended all 3 options to be somewhat viable especially since they are mutually exclusive. If everyone is ignoring Atziri then her exclusive drops become more valuable.

As someone who's not doing the snake optimizing strats and don't mind not being the most efficient currency farmer, I'd say yes. Narratively the game guides you toward finding the architect(s) and fighting Atziri. That also pushes you through the league story and catches you up with the lore, if you enjoy that stuff (I do).

Worth also noting that the "snake strat" is very time consuming. Like double digits hours to optimize if that is literally all you do every second of gameplay. It's a very sweaty strategy and the average player isn't doing it.

Recoup is a keyword so it has a very specific definition as a mechanic. And to anticipate a question: yes, modifiers to recoup (like faster recoup) would apply to recoup granted from this chest.

So for this chest, let's say you take a hit that does 100 damage and your armour prevent 70 of it from applying to your health/energy shield. That 70 gets divided by 2, then you'd end up with 35 life recoup.

(to be technical, only phys damage prevented applies, as it says. You can make armour apply to elemental damage, but that wouldn't factor into this equation)

That's all of your armour btw. The stat comes from the chest piece, but the formula applies globally.

Basically complete the correct trial. In the final reward room talk to Balbala/Trialmaster to refund all allocated ascendancy points then click the altar of ascendancy

imma be honest, i want to rant here about this game being dogshit at making it understandable for new players how to actually not get left behind by the game dmg wise

a lot of time i choose every passive for any little bit of dmg, gems, armor, skills, support gems and somehow i still have dogshit dmg as early as end of chapter 2

i use the most basic easy to understand class, warrior, just nearly stun the enemy, and than boneshatter to kill them, most important is phys dmg and fire for some abilities, simple right? well apparently not because this game's gambling addiction for items is always like "heeey you could definetly use a better weapon than the 60% phys dmg you have and 4-8 raw phys dmg and the 2-7 fire dmg and 15% speed attack and +1 melee skills that you have"

"but i'm not gonna give you any, gl"

so now i have the grand pleasure to easily die by normal enemies in chapter 2 and can't even two shot them like i could last season

and the bosses and rares is basically the experience of mining a rock with a plastic spoon

i've watched like 10 vids on how it's supposed to work, how tags work on skills, how passive works, seen many builds, and somehow none of them click with what you're supposed to do or where you should go lvl by lvl

the game makes it seem like you can choose anything you want, any class any skill and any path you want cuz there's plenty of choices so you can "progress" but the truth is, if you do not focus on very specific builds, it quickly ends up in a bullet hell type of game where if you dodge enough and chip their hp enough you might be able to advance one map at a time

ah yes, for further reference, i started 2 seasons ago, made a frost chronomancer got to lvl 60 and quit, last season i made 2 warriors, a smith and a warbringer to lvl 80 both and could barely get past tier 8 beffed maps

and now i can barely go further with warrior 👍

I only play melee

Basically sounds like you're having trouble focusing on what matters for a weapon. Keep it simple. Look for a mace with better base damage and try to get a physical roll on it. A good physical roll doesn't mean much if its increasing the damage of an outdated weapon with poor base damage. Check vendors, pick up white items and hit them.with a transmute + augment, gamble occasionally. But there's no way you should need to be trading for gear if you're in Titan's Grotto.

Using the methods I just described. A blue weapon with better damage is better than a rare. And if you get an updated base from a vendor and get lucky with a transmute and augment combo to grt increased physical that can be enough to carry for a while. Last night I gambled for shits and giggles and got a weapon with over a 100% physical roll and it was on a decent base.

ugg... hate this campaign. bosses are way over leveled to leveling builds and near lack of any decent gear.

its more that leveling... gear and skills suck since you only get what drops in a very limited arena of zones. but bosses will one shot you and you have to memorize every boss fight since you cant just face roll them like poe1. those bosses are fine end game, but campaign, unreasonable.

It really shouldn't be that bad. You should be able to take a hit or two unless you're trying to tank the big choreographed slams where they flash red. Gems are guaranteed from a variety of sources through the acts. Get gear with life and resistances on it, and use more than drops. Check vendors, get white bases and craft on them, use the gambling merchant, and don't only take damage on your tree.

There is no set in stone time when you should try the second ascendancy, just give it a try when u feel like it. For the first and second ascendancies there are specific quest item keys that you can use as often as u want.

For the second one specifically it's obtained via the Chimera Boss in Act 3.

1- grants 25% increased stun threshold
2- grants 30% increased elemental aliment threshold
3- grants 25% increased mana regen

The answer is pretty much always "it depends", but flat is multiplied by all sources of "increased" which is then multiplied by each "more" modifier

So added flat damage can sometimes be a lot more impactful if you've already got a lot of sources of "increased" (adding 100% increased damage to 1000% increased damage is far less impactful than adding 100% to 100%)

Also you'll need to place the "active" part of the buff on your bar to use - basically the way it works is that it builds up charge as you attack and you can use that charge to apply the buff at any time

At the beginning it's not so important to put lots of mods onto your waystones, also called juicing, you can definitely use the blue orbs and regals to make them rare but save you ex for now until you get steady income of those. You can also easily apply blue orbs to tablets. To unlock the ability to make those rare you have to beat the Arbiter boss.

I spent like 5 exalts on the essences and abyss currency I used. You don't even need to do that. Just gamble until you get a good increased physical damage roll and then regal and exalt spam and hope for the best. But I suppose it depends on just how out of date your weapon is.

There's 2 builds on Maxroll that look almost the same for leveling, Minion Infernalist leveling guide and Lich leveling guide. The skill gems look very similar as well... except I think Lich uses SRS?

Yeah its rough early. I THINK you can get two different crossbows, load an ammo into each, and assign the correct "shoot crossbow" skill for each to the appropriate weapon slot, but I haven't tested it.

I could prolly guess it's the tier of the additional trait being added on but we don't control thr quality of the roll. Correct the player lwvl for the item went up. I got lucky with boots that had 2x evasion, 2x stun thres, rarity increase. Then I added an exalted orb lasr , the other level increases were from the vaal dungeon. But when I added the exalted orb , the player lvl went for 33 to 37

first of all, for fighter, would you reccomend bear or shield wall build in the current patch? I heard shield got nerfed, but also bear is really strong.

secondly. for bear, would you suggest druid or fighter?

finally, for monk. is there an early game build that uses a quarterstaff instead of a bow? places ive looked at suggests bow for clears and whatnot but to me, at that point I might as well play ranger and not monk.

I believe speed runners are at 4hrs to 4:30h, if you buy a boost you can get it done in 3 hrs. A good and dedicated player can do the campaign in 5-6 hrs. Pretty sure those numbers will go up once we get the next act, the interlude for act 5 & 6 is super short.

says its been updated on jan 1st. If you need powered zealots btw, you can ofc change the order in interlude. And I think it is missing the trials, so do them at the end of chapter or when you feel strong enough.

also important is to use the exalts you drop to upgrade your weapon first and foremost. Gotta keep the damage high to have the bossing speed. Only clear enough enemies to keep up with the level, really no need to full clear map.
Rest is up to knowing the map layouts a bit, so that you find faster where you have to go

Uniques aren't automatically the best items, far from it a lot of the time. Druid is fine and has multiple viable builds.

There is no fastest. It doesn't work like that. There are good builds and bad builds, every class pretty much has at least a few good builds.

Clearing campaign quickly comes down to knowledge about the game and the campaign itself, not choosing a specific class.

A friend is playing Druid and he is level 23. I'm coaching him, he has -10% fire resistance and for the LOVE OF ME I cant identify where that is coming from, at his level. I even imported his character in PoE2 Path Of Building to try and identify the source and there isn't one. Can anyone think of something?
He is still in Act 2 so he shouln't have any penalty.

Edit: figured it out. There's a -10% penalty when you finish each act.

Yeah its to make sure you pay attention to your resists and because higher level gear can roll better resist values.

No, all of them are a passive point or two basically. Just depends where you can make up the other stats, if you need them.

You life pool affects how easily you're stunned.

IIRC there used to be a bug that prevented stuns on rhoa if you were CI but most likely is that you aren't getting hit much and thus aren't getting stunned much.

By money, you mean in-game currency? You shouldn't need to trade with other players for most or all of the campaign. You just need to look for/craft gear with life and resistances for the most part.

no need to quit over it, you can just go back to the trial when you are 5-10 levels further in and a lot stronger.

im pretty new to the game but it does feel like its very biased to range characters, theres so much things that screw over melee

yeah, I mean melee is just a bit weak in the early game. it gets super strong later. needs a bit of rebalancing along the road. It's also hardest to learn initially

You don't. Honor and the damage you take to it scales off your life and defenses so if you're getting hit that hard, improve them and learn how to dodge better. You can also use relics to make you take less honor damage.
