1st playthrough is super difficult for newbies, huge learning curve. It's still hard for me during new league cause you don't have the higher tier supports or skill sockets. I largely play ssf, subsequent characters are easy for campaign, it's just that 1st playthrough

must've been a bug I guess. She went to the middle and just kept summoning for ages. I ended up just walking in circles to avoid her gaze (which I presume does something), and putting down fireboi traps

Perhaps it's a bug in your case if she never came out of the middle. She shines light and spins it around and minions get summoned. She eventually comes out, but in the meantime, you should take out those minions before she come up

depends on your gear a lot , fights won't take as long as when you first fought Geonor but , if you're not a top player , it will still take like anywhere from 30 sec to 2 min and the big fights boss fights/pinnacles even more , it's all about gear

I know people hate one shots from bosses. I find it neccessary to keep you on your toes. they mainly use oneshots for boss gimmicks, which you eventually figure out how to avoid. And it makes sense to add puzzles like to give bosses fight sruff to figure out, which give them more depth

I put in 3 items and 2 were 200 armor and one was 390, and then I got 200 armor, I didn't like that. So, the armor stats you get is the lowest one? I don't see the point. Why not just look out for rare items, which is better than stashing a bunch of them to forget to get a single random identifier

Yes, you will always need to do the campaign with fresh characters. I don't know when you last played but they added act 4 and three interlude acts as placeholders until acts 5 and 6 are released, and every new league includes new content and a mechanic specific to the league.

Guys, I think I might be doing something wrong.
I'm lvl 44 Titan. I don't see a difference when I break the enemy armour and continue attacking. It seems the damage is almost the same, or that the low damage of the "Armour Breaker" skill is not worth it to trade off for a small bonus to damage afterwards for 3 or 4 seconds. Am I wrong?

Also, it seems like using my skill rotation (Shield Wall + Forge Hammer + Infernal Cry + Leap Slam) results in the same damage as if I just use Normal Attack with my great hammer, since it does splash damage, and then use Boneshatter for a big damage. The bonus is that I have Life Leech on normal attack, so I find that just attacking bosses is better than using the skill rotation.

Am I doing something wrong?

What does holding Shift + Clicking on a node in the Passive Skill Tree do?

It helps if you can automate things like breaking armor so its just part of one of your other skills. Also, are you fully breaking armor?

Skills also kind of expect you to lean into their benefits. Like you lose the benefit of armor break if you leap slam because leap slam consumes it to stun enemies. I did forge hammer, infernal cry, and rolling slam with aftershocks and it was pretty effective because I was pulsing the forge hammer fissures multiple times with each slam. I also was using armor explosion with rolling slam which helped with my clear. Point being, passives and support gems can help skills to work together and enhance their benefits.

I also grabbed the node that made the benefits of armor break apply to fire damage instead of just physical.

It could also be a gear or passives issue to be honest. The trick with forge hammer and fissures in general is you want to trigger the fissures as many times as possible, whatever your approach. Rolling slam isn't going to automatically make it better, you'll need to build into it and try to add aftershocks or some other method of slamming them as often as possible.

Physical damage and attack speed would be the two biggies. Just keep picking up and identifying items, buy white bases, check for blue items with decent stats, use the gambling vendor. A blue item with two good mods that you can hit with an essence is a great way to get a decent item.

I can't beat the bosses in the Trial of Chaos. Are there specific breakpoints that help me to not die there?
I'm playing Armor as my main defense stat and I am lvl 45 right now.

Max life and resistances are always your first priority. Armor only protects against physical damage hits by default. And SSF doesn't matter, you should be able to get some life and resist gear through drops, vendors, and crafting.

Life and resists. Armor gear is easiest but you can certainly do armor/evasion depending on where you go in the tree. Armor applying to elemental damage is a strong stat if you have a lot of armor.

Usually by that point you should have some kind of AOE or crowd control, yeah. And cold res specifically helps with the fight.

At minimum I'd try to get a support gem on your skeletal warriors to keep them alive and hit your sceptre with an augment orb to see if you get something useful. How are your resists? Also, use that item in your inventory that gives you max life from the candle boss.

I think I crafted a terrible build and cannot complete the last boss in act two with my current approach. Need someone to give me Ideas how to salvage my mess.

I tried going with a minion focused build and now every boss was really hard when it did not spawn stuff. this one I can only make 10 to 20% damage until I run out of life flasks.

Then check vendors for wands with better spell damage rolls, chaos damage rolls, or +1 to spell/chaos gem levels.

Dodging is still quite important that early also. And ED/contagion is definitely a hit it and wait for it to die kind of playstyle.

Alright so a day later we tried again but it seemed to be a monk specific issue? he started druid and no issue, we tried reload loot filter (the basic one from the game) pickup key, reloading the game etc, Monk specific seemed to not work for him. only other thing ive encountered so far is there being 2 boss checkpoints each map in endgame content

I think build is alot more deeper in POE2, which gives you more flexibility

I have played a ton of Diablo 1, 2 and 3, and I can say POE 2 is amazing. I haven't played Diablo 4 yet, but POE 2 combate feels more like a Soulslike, with Dodge mechanics, blocking, stamina (for blocking), the game play is more paced and strategic. At least for me as a Warrior. I bough it a few weeks ago and haven't regreted not even for a bit.

Classes do determine where you start on the passive tree and which subclasses you can access, but there aren't any subclasses that are specifically for minions. But also, your identity in games like this is your build, not your gender. You're covered in gear and skill effects 30 minutes in anyway.

I am cool with playing a woman in most cases but I usually like to glamour my characters and give them cool evil armor, and usually male characters tend to have more badass armor sets. After looking at some gameplay it does seem like the character is obscured most of the time tho so Ill probably still roll with the witch lady.

Wolf is a little squishy as its implicit is movement speed while the wyvern and bear get defensive stats. Make sure you're prioritizing max life and resistances on your gear.

I cannot think of any stat basis for that. Wyvern gets ailment and stun threshold and faster start of energy shield recharge. I've been doing wolf and I'm fine. Definitely just keep your gear as up to date as possible, don't hesitate to spend those cheap currencies and early resources. Runes. Check vendors. Etc.

Hey guys, I just started out on a bear druid. After coming from years on Poe1 the playstyle is certainly an adjustment but I'm managing... With the exception of poison damage.
I'm only level 6 but the only real issues I have are poison ground effects which are EVERYWHERE in the bramble area. Like I'll lose half my HP just trying to get a single swipe in before dodging out.
I simply cannot sustain with all these puddles laying around.

Any tips on how to manage this?
I know "Don't stand there" is the obvious answer but with the exception of the wyvern back dash, all my attacks require me to stand there until the animation finishes

easiest is if you have rings you've collected, they are easy to swap out. You can also slot in runes to armor pieces that give specific resistances, and then charms to belt.

Each attribute STR, DEX, or INT that you invest most in gives you restances, but the one you invest least can give you very low resistances, even to the negative. I am mostly STR, and my fire reistance is never low as 0 or negative, but my electric resistance is in the minus since I hardly have any points to it. My build is warror, so I put all my points to STR, and I hae cetain weakness due to this. I have to compensate with rings, charms, armor modifiers, runes, etc..

Attributes won’t give you resistances actually - strength gives +2 life, dex gives +5 accuracy, and int gives +2 mana per point, but none are worth stacking without a good reason

Usually you just need enough to equip the gear and skill/passive/spirit gems you need for your build and no more than that

Resistances come from gear, some passives and a few sources in the campaign

You can break armor automatically with aupport gems. Are you looking at all support gem options and unchecking the "recommended" box because that gives a lot more to choose from.

Check on the skill screen itself. The change reporting on the passive tree is broken. Projectile damage will definitely work.

And you're using wingblast/devour to generate charges and then using rend?

Might be able to get a better weapon, that's not a ton of damage.

Typo. Check vendors for a better talisman and/or try to craft on one.

I'd consider using something other than rage on rend, maybe fire infusion for straight up extra damage so you don't have to build rage.

Depends on the passives. For example you probably drop the reload passives when you have arjun’s medal to reload and you add the “while flask is active” passives when you get laviangas

How much Spirit can you get without using a Spectre?
I’m playing Witch (Lich) and I’m in Act 4. I need around 140 Spirit to keep my curses up.
Right now I’m getting Spirit from body armor + amulet and a Rattling Spectre.
I want to remove the Spectre and start using Focus instead.
Is that possible at this stage, or should I keep the Spectre for now?

if you need 140 spirit in total you can easily achieve that with the body armour or amulet. (considering you have 100 base after the campaign and only need 40)

if you actually need 140 additional, you should get 60 on body and 60 on amulet + one armour that corrupted 20 spirit or the gamblers ring with +20 spirit. it would be veeery expensive.
