Hello, I think my act 4 quest bugged, after defeating krutog, there's no cage to free matiki from, and Matiki is missing from boat

depends on the affixes on the item you would want to use it on , if it's something like high life- 2 resistance , I would use them , but you get rooms in the vaal temle that do the same thing for free

Because of increased spell% damage and more elemental nodes that class path and its close to durids path so I can path to there and use shapeshift skills and have it grant buffs to spell damage

If you don't want to faff much - Link it to your account in POE website (There's a link at the top to do it) and set it to "Semi-Strict"
Then sync it with your game. After you do that, you can go to "Options > Game" And select the filter (It will be in cyan)

If you're only level 10, don't consider endgame at all... Try to figure out why you're constantly dying and re-think your skills.
Make sure you get gear with HP and in general make sure that you don't face tank enemies... Use mobility skills and synergies (Skills that make other skills do AOE)

Life and resists are the priority. How are those?

Make sure your res is at 75% on all (Except chaos maybe) and get as much life as possible.
Depends on the class too might want to invest heavily in ES

It all ends up being how you build the characters. No matter the character, you want life and resistances on gear and then other defensive layers depending on the build. Warrior gets block early since you get a shield immediately so that may be why he feels tankier.

Its not instead. Life is life. Energy shield is a defensive layer, alongside armor and evasion. All builds, at least early on, want life. Plus you can get life on ES gear so its not one or the other.

Once you reach Act 4, you can get access to the Currency Exchange, where you can freely trade for items like that. If you're not at Act 4 yet, you can check vendors for regular items, obtain a guaranteed rune from Renly's Forge in Act 1, or hope that one drops. There's also a vendor in the Interludes that sells some elemental runes.

Theres trading but you don't really access it until act 4 and you shouldn't need it before then. Ground loot, vendors, amd crafting should be enough.

Primarily when you need to suplement yourself with a specific weapon or just in general a specific attribute that your current item is missing.
For example:
Shop might sell boots with 15% running speed. They are blue and this is the only attribute, while yours currently are yellow with like 6 attributes.... But yours do not have any movement speed.
Thus you are much better off to take the boots and upgrade them to yellow....

Same for weapons. If you're a caster, it is almost impossible to find a good weapon with +X to all spells
But in the shop - Blue wands/staves are almost guaranteed to have at least 1 weapon with this attribute (Almost...)
And then you build from there

What skills you using mainly? You can use quick and dirty just looking at tooltip dps of like maul or whatever basic attack. In the acts it doesn’t really matter much and you’ll likely find large upgrades at various points.

But more specifically flat damage on weapons , %damage and attack speed are important.

you will still get the normal rewards like the loot and chests, but you will not get ascendency points. You also get xp as normal so you can level up. Can be good if you want to farm specific items or relics for future runs (but you dont need to run the trial again)

So I have tried to build two different builds with the shit gear I have and I cannot beat geonor with either. I tried my wolf build (not so great due to cold) and I made a wyvern build which works slightly better until phase 2, then it dies because it's too slow. I just want to get the blood moon level up cosmetic at this point.

I have the wyvern build, it took me over 10 tries to beat him second phase very tough. What I did is play very aggressively rend a couple time jump behind him rend when he gets ready to do attacks ounce away and start running around in wolf form then pounce back in and use rend again. Rinse repeat. So far very tough fight and definitely showed the down side to this class.

As melee in the fog phase ive found that I just have to learn the timings to dodge his thing, and that significantly reduces the amount of issues ive had with it. Then its just a matter of clearing up wolves as much as you can in between

Ice Bomb + Ice Nova.
Frost Darts - main form of damage against frozen bosses
Snap (to delete frozen enemies and get more Cold Infusions easily)

two questions about werewolf/bear forms:

• the weapon physical damage is used for shred and attacks right, so does it mean that focusing on maces is good since they have phys damage. Also would a bow work even if theoretically they are ranged?
• are the stats on the talisman equiped on the second weapon set apply even when you are not using that set? Would that be true for anything on the second set? Thank you!

you should go for the attributes you need and not the ones in the guide. I don't think mobalytics shows it but you shouldn't do what they say at the expense of being able to use your stuff
