I watched YouTube guides on this to help me learn but some general tips are:

You want to prioritize damage on your weapons

And defenses on your other gear like armor / evasion / energy shield

Movement speed is a good thing to have on boots

Vendors can have good items for sell and they have new inventory after each time you level up

Take your time and read the stats of each item to compare and see what feels better to you

Generally items that have elemental resistences or + life are good things to have

When in doubt, just to play the game and notice if you're dying too easily, your defensive gear need to improve

Or if you're having a hard time killing things, your weapon needs to be stronger

The Abyss 'elites' unlock some of their skills after the first few acts, so it may be that you've gotten one without that skill active. Grab one from Act 3 or 4, it should perform the skill.

• gem stash, essence, delirium, ritual, socketable are all not necessary but make life simpler and easier to organise your poop

I had a lot of success and fun with ice nova, snap, frost darts, frost bomb, and frostbolt. It was a really synergistic build with chronomancer. Cooldown reduction is very good with snap and frost bomb. It was a little lacking in boss dps tho

With investment into freeze buildup, trash mobs exploded very fast. Frost darts is... Certainly a skill you can use for bossing. I never had a good gelid staff, but one of those would be great for single target

You get 30 Spirit from Freythorn, 30 Spirit from Azak Bog, and another 40 in the Interludes. If you have literally 0 Spirit, and aren't just reserving it, it would suggest you haven't done the first two encounters yet.
If you do have Spirit, but are reserving all of it, then you would just need to disable one of your Spirit skills to use another, or get more Spirit to use them together.

ok second question about trials of hinokeru, so if the first fire golem guy regenerates this fast, as in there is no 'tug of war' going on after you put in the initial damage. am i supposed to instakill this thing? seems a bit bs considering i take a quarter of it's health instantly.

having big manna issues right now, my skills are even 2 levels under where they could be because i didn't want them to cost more, what's the best way to fix that? my gloves/rings/belt/maybe boots could use upgrading so

Imo it's 90% understanding the mechanics,
If self trial and error isn't working, I would look for a guide online, yt vid or just a wiki

1.20 Vaal = 1 Exalt atm, it changes often but roughly yes they are about the same.

You unlock a currency exchange feature in Act 4 where you can check this stuff freely

I’m dying to mostly the phase where she spawns the minions i get overwhelmed . And I have a fireball bloodmage build

So I suppose it’s a gear problem i get frozen and os real quick and my dps feels kinda low when I hit the boss or the minions to clear them

looks like you need some gear gambling and crafting to get your res up. also cold res runes on decent gear pieces maybe

res gets more and more important the further you get
