Correct. If the skill gem has the AoE tag it does area damage. The size and damage of the area it does damage can also be increased by support gems and the passive tree

To add to what Pobresito said, There are also some skills that have an area tag without doing area damage. Contagion, for example, has an area tag because it can spread to enemies within a certain radius, but the damage it deals is NOT area damage.

It might depend on the curse and the dot, but generally the answer is that you don't need to reapply it.

If the curse affects how much damage an enemy takes in the form of -res or increased damage taken, as examples, then you don't need to reapply it. When a dot ailment is applied via a hit, the enemy's resistance and their inc damage taken modifiers are not factored into the magnitude of that ailment. So if those values change via a curse, the dot dps updates in real time

Though if there were a hypothetical curse that, say, gave you a buff when hitting cursed enemies that made your hits deal more damage, then hitting the enemy, cursing them, and hitting them again would make your dot ailment stronger the second time.

The rule of thumb is that if it only affects how much damage the enemy takes (and not how much you deal, if that makes sense) then no reapplication is needed

Yeah if you have 32% inc bonuses of equipped quiver, it doesn't change the stats on your quiver when you hover over it. So the 30% written on it is actually giving ~40%

extra damage is always good

resists are optional, need around 130-150 of each by the time you get to endgame, so look what you lack and what you want

no, when the game launched the performance was HORRID at least for me. Also there was a super stupid bug in which you couldn t change rendering engine so I was stuck on DX giving my computer the equivalent of a gasoline IV . It seems better now tho

I use transmutes on bases good for my build. I use augs on the same. I use regals on anything that has at least 1 decent roll and is a good base.
