in PoE one I needed to put the gems into my weapon and they connected, but now I can only put gems in my skills ( I suppose gems in weapon will come later)

How can I see, how they will synergize?

Gems are just their own menu now. Gems have support sockets on them. Sockets on gear are used for something else now.

And you find synergies by reading the skills. If fragmentation rounds do a ton of extra damage against frozen enemies, find a way of freezing them first, etc.

I have a support gem on my crossbow shot ability that gives it a 50% chance to add bleed to an enemy

So I thought, if I load any munition like Permafrost bolt it also has a 50% bleed chance but it only applies to the basic bolt

Its just like links on gear in POE1. Support gems only affect skills they're linked to. Weapons have their own built in basic skills that can have support gems.

Wait , once you craft a skill gem on a character can you take it and just use it on an alt ?

you can just use all your uncut gems on your alt, stash is shared

Even more, as long as the gem you're upgrading doesn't have quality or extra sockets, you can just remove, say, a level 2 gem, cut the level 3 from scratch, and put it in. That way you save the level 2 gem for other characters

Act 4 is the hardest act to route for speedruns in all of poe1 and poe2. Speedrunners are likely still enjoying the league and haven't taken the time to run around act 4 in the 40,320 different orders you can do the islands yet (and that's assuming you complete each island before traveling to the next). But they'll get there eventually

I know before only like half of the campaign was finished. Is it fully complete now or is it still missing chapters? We've received Act 4 (out of a total of 6) and 3 mini interlude acts to replace Cruel. We've also gotten Huntress, a new class, with Spears, a new weapon type that has both ranged and Melee skills, and Bucklers, which are able to Parry.

They have already said that a full release may not mean all classes. For them, 1.0 just needs the full campaign - which they can manage within a year - and a decent state for the content that is present. They also intend to include Druid and Duelist at least, so that's only 2 classes, one of which has already had a lot of work done.

It is normal to take several tries on a boss, especially on your first playthrough. There's a reason there's no XP penalty, and a checkpoint right outside the boss arena. Act bosses tend to be more difficult than regular ones as well.

Salvage items with quality/sockets at the bench. You can get artificers orbs that add sockets to items, and then put runes you find into them. Also, dont hesitate to buy a couple white bases from vendors and hit them with a transmute and augment orb to see if you get life/resists. Check vendors in general, maybe try the gambling vendor if you have gold, and disenchant or sell gear you pick up but won't use.

Just the first round of spells = 213 mana which is 54.5% of my total mana....
That leaves me with a total of 5-6 arcs
Flask restores only 165 and over a really long time.... But the time that ele weakness is off, I have nowhere near enough mana to cast another one 🤔

I'm having a weird issue where my level 18 blasphemy gem isnt recognizing any curses on it. I can use a new/lower blasphemy and no problem, but the 18 doesnt work. When i equip it, it shows as being active before i socket anything in. Once i put the curse in, nothing happens, it shows as active but no reservation. If i click it off and try to click it on i get the error "missing socketed skills". its almost like this one gem isn't reading sockets or something

No one considered max level even part of progression. It's wholly unnecessary and difficult to achieve.

firstly, during campaign its affordable to respec as long as you dont flip entire tree multiple times (at least from my experience) so you can test stuff fairly resonably

1. for sekhemas, each floor awards 2 points, so if you want more points you need to go deeper into trial
2. if you plan on making more characters, you can keep nice stuff for leveling, makes it easier to gear up, but in general most stuff you will find is probably easily obtainable either through trade or by gambling yellow gear for gold
3. abyss is pretty dangerous in general, especially early, the starting tree surrounding warrior will suggest going mostly armour yes, but you can go something else as well if you branch out a bit

Btw i'm wondering, is there a easy way to get gems ? My main issue rn is it seems theres a lto of possibilities but it's almost impossible to find gems, like rn i'm i'd say 25% into act 2 and I dropped only one support gem and one big spell gem
